Resort cottage on Big Glen Lake! Kayaks & fire pit!

Escape from it all at Brookhaven Resort on the beautiful sapphire-blue Big Glen Lake! One of five cottages with shared access to 150' of water frontage, tennis court, basketball court, & row boats. Gather around the shared fire pit for s'mores and sunsets overlooking Alligator Hill in the Sleeping Bear Dunes area. 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. 1 level, faces West, at the end of a quiet street. Sleeps 5-6.


This cabin has 1 Queen, 2 twins, and a sofa bed. It has a full kitchen (no dishwasher), a charcoal grill, and a picnic table. There is WIFI. There is no TV, no phone, and no worries at this peaceful location, only minutes from the village of Glen Arbor. Pickleball and volleyball are available.

Quick drives to the Sleeping Bear Dunes, shopping, dining, kayaking, hiking, and more. Big Glen Lake is great for kids. Crystal clean water and no severe drop-offs. Boating, fishing, and swimming--enjoy them all!

Fun fall weekend
Took the kids to Sleeping Bear Dunes and they loved staying in our cozy cottage. The games were great, the layout was perfect for our needs, and the lake view was gorgeous. The new electric heating unit was a bit tricky to keep the back bedrooms warm but we figured fall temps so dressed warm. Had a great time!

The location is excellent and price can't be beat for the area in peak season. The cottages are basic, but that's all we need. Our only complaint this year was the noise from a large cottage on Brooks Pond, behind the cottage. Booming party music until the wee hours of the morning... 3 nights in a row. If you're looking for peach and quiet, you'll take a risk by renting so close to other renters. Otherwise, a great stay!

We were moved to a different cabin last minute as the owner of the cabins were in town and probably took the better cabins along with her adult children. I understand it is their property however we are paying to stay there and assumed we would get the better place. The beds, were super comfy and was very pleased with the cleanliness. We did not have a coffee maker in our cabin but the owner Lisa was very nice and gave us here's. Aside from the fact that the owners were all over the property (outside) during our stay we were happy with the days at the beautiful lake. Hope to return.

Was crowded with 4 young adult children staying in this unit—but we managed. Premises were clean. Kitchen had adequate dishes and pots/pans for cooking. Lake is rocky in this area—water was warm and clear and shallow. Beachfront is grassy with kayaks and stand-up paddle boards available for guests. Tennis courts, Badminton/volleyball net and beach toys also available for guests. Dock is very long—there is a raft out in the lake for guest enjoyment. Resort was quiet—other guests were very friendly. Owners were friendly. Check-in was easy. Our unit had a gas grill with propane. Really enjoyed our stay!!

Quiet place to get away

We enjoyed grilling outside and sitting by a campfire by the lake in the evenings. There is lots of shade. No air conditioning but there were 3 fans in the unit. The only problem we encountered was that we left a box of donuts on the counter and in the morning they had ants all over them. I would expect this in a tent or even a camper but not in a cottage. The area is nice to visit. Be prepared for an expensive trip if you need items from the local grocery store. I would suggest bringing your own food. It was an overall good visit. We would definitely stay here again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Once again, we had a lovely visit. Appreciated the use of a nice selection of kayaks, canoes and rowboats, and enjoyed what seemed to be new mattresses and bedding in our cabin! Cabin as always very clean, but the window sills could benefit from a wipe-down. Extra hooks or towel racks in the bathroom would be appreciated. We were also short a light-bulb in our cabin. The August storm damage was very much in evidence around the area, and we awoke to the sound of chainsaws and front-end loaders cleaning downed trees from the Dunn's Farm Road entrance. The crews worked very hard with minimal disruption and were very courteous to us. All-in-all, the Brook Haven property escaped with minimal damage-- although we assumed that the absence of the dock and the mangled hoist on the shore was part of storm damage. Thanks again for providing such a nice spot to enjoy an amazing area!
