You can stop for an ice cream cone and browse in the fun and unique shops while watching boats go in and out of the harbor. There are also kayak, boat, and paddle boat rentals, as well as fishing or whale watching excursions that can be booked at the harbor.
Walk south along the Strand, and in less than a mile you'll arrive at the Oceanside Pier and downtown area. There you can rent bicycles, sign up for surfing lessons, shop, and explore many new restaurant options -- both casual and fine dining.
The Mainstreet Oceanside Farmer's Market is a delightful experience near the Pier which takes place every Thursday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and, at the top of our guests' favorite Oceanside traditions is the Sunset Market Street Fair on Thursday evenings. Featuring up to 200 merchants and spanning four city blocks, the Sunset Market is San Diego County's top weekly food and music street fair. Every Thursday from 5-9 p.m., thousands of residents and visitors alike gather here to enjoy hot food from around the world, gourmet goodies and desserts, eclectic shopping and live entertainment.
