Das Haus verfügt über vier Schlafzimmer - zwei mit Doppelbetten, eines mit einem Kingsize-und eines mit drei Einzelbetten (zwei können zu einem König zu bilden). Das Schlafzimmer verfügt über ein eigenes Badezimmer (Badewanne und Dusche, zwei Waschbecken), mit einem zusätzlichen Gäste-WC (Wanne / Dusche, zwei Waschbecken) im Erdgeschoss und ein Gäste-Halb Bad im Obergeschoss. Eine gut ausgestattete Küche, einen Flachbild-TV mit DVD und HD-Kanäle, Fitnessraum mit elliptischen und BBQ runden dieses erstaunliche Hause Funktionen. Parkplatz für bis zu 4 Autos.

Das Aloha Honu Hale befindet sich in einer geschlossenen, exklusiven Privatstraße, die entlang der weltberühmten Schildkrötenbucht in der Honokeana Cove verläuft. Beachten Sie, dass dies ein älteres, von Architekten entworfenes Haus mit häufigen Gästen ist. Es hat daher etwas Abnutzung im Inneren und wird außen beeinflusst, indem es sich direkt an der Seite der Bucht befindet, wo es starkem Wind und Regen ausgesetzt ist. Das Haus wird regelmäßig gewartet, aber der Preis (die Hälfte des Preises in der Nähe ähnlicher Häuser) spiegelt wider, dass dieses Haus zwar wunderschön und mit einer atemberaubenden Aussicht ist, aber nicht makellos ist.

Great place for the price.

We stayed 5 nights. We enjoyed everybit. Dont be fooled by other reviews they are honest in telling u all the things. Place is old and has wierd old windows that leak but really no biggy. Some doors dont open but agian no biggy. The house is clean and functional . I think if the place had access to the bay it would be 100% better but they tell u it does not so all well. If u decide to go in the bay from the rocks accross the way please be careful it dangerous the rocks are slippery and even small waves can hurt u when getting in. Do ur research. They allowed us access early they day we got there. Always kind and helpful when we called. There was like 3 cockroaches but its maui right by the ocean good luck keeping all bugs out. It wasworth the money we paid you will not regret it

Exactly as Advertised!

We give our stay at this property a 10/10 - but note that it is not the Ritz-Carlton, nor is it advertised as such. The owner is accurate in his description that this is an older property that is not pristine and is well lived in. If you're a snob, this is not the place for you - and we're not the people you'd want to hang out with. If you are common sense and want a great value for your dollar, this is the place. It was clean, the communication with the owner was spot on and very timely, the directions/instructions were clear and 100% accurate and it suited our family group of 7 perfectly. It has a gorgeous view, we were able to watch the turtles swimming in the cove and watched for whales off shore all while sitting and enjoying breakfast. The breeze and sound of waves at night was amazing coming through the windows. We would definitely stay at this property again if/when we return to Maui. It's close to a mall with a coffee shop, good restaurants (Joey's Kitchen), a grocery store and a snorkel/beach supply store. The location is great. Thank you.

Location Awesome- older house.

We stayed two full weeks with family joining for different parts of the stay. I give 5 stars because the house is as described and views and access to Napili and Kapalua Beaches are why we picked it. If you expect the Ritz don’t stay here but comfortable with lots of room in a prime spot worked for us.

Stay Away Unless You Enjoy Regret

1/10 Let me save you the trouble: don’t book this house.I’ve stayed in dozens of vacation homes and have never felt the need to leave a scathing review—until now. This place earned it.This house is a masterclass in false advertising. Yes, it’s technically oceanfront, but don’t let the photos fool you. There’s no beach access, and the water is completely unusable for small children.What you’re really booking is a crumbling, overpriced mess. (Yes, it’s for sale—which might explain the state of neglect.)We lasted two days. Then we packed up and left early—because no view makes up for sleeping inside a moldy, haunted episode of Fixer Upper.The house has a funky smell—mouthwash, mothballs. You park beside a fire-damaged guesthouse, and the garage roof literally has a hole in it that sheds tiles in the wind, the mattresses sag, the linens are stained, and nothing feels clean. The brown carpet on the stairs is so old there are tacks that are sticking out of the sides. Bath tubs have stains that look like footprints. Abandoned electrical wire is all over outside. Doors don’t close, cabinets stick, fans are caked in dust, and we even found a mousetrap in the laundry room.The owner’s response? “That’s why it’s cheaper. He said “that we can fix or address anything in 72 hours.” No apology. No concern. And these type of things are definitely not fixable in 72 hours. This wasn’t a vacation. It was a mistake.Book this house if you enjoy regret. Otherwise, go elsewhere.

Maui dream

The property was basically as pictured and described. It was perfect for my family of 5 adults and 3 grandchildren. The grandkids ages 12-13 had the loft, with 3 beds, which gave them some separation from adults. The location was great for snorkeling and beach going.

Amazing

I just want to say thank you for an absolutely beautiful property and everything was spot on with how it’s described. I will most definitely be back to this location. The cove was mesmerizing and so peaceful. Everyone complimented the entire house and the view. There is nothing worth complaining about when you stay here. From setting up the stay all the way until we checked out all I can say is THANK YOU for the best vacation ever.

Don’t book this! Look elsewhere.

Do not book this property. It is in complete disrepair. It doesn’t look like the pictures online. When my family showed up the house was dirty. One of the beds had dirty sheets with hair, dirt and a wet spot. A dirty toilet seat. The fire alarms were disconnected . When I contacted the owner they actually accused someone in my party of doing these things in order to try and get a refund. I replied that I hadn’t asked for a refund but felt like the house was not the same as they are advertising and I wouldn’t want another family to get tricked into booking this. There are a lot of nice places in the neighborhood and we were so sad we hadn’t booked a different place. We would have rather booked two condos than had this neglected, run down, dirty house. There were multiple windows in the house that didn’t have screens. When we checked in, the upstairs bedroom was missing screens and the windows wouldn’t close so birds, ants and cockroaches were getting in. Birds were pooping everywhere. The property manager did come and duck tape screens on the windows in the upstairs bedroom. The other windows he said to keep closed. We told him the fan wasn’t working and he said to contact the owner. The owner said he was going to fix this but couldn’t until after we had left. Nothing could be done to fix this house and make it comfortable. Everything about it was a disappointment.

The property is located in a beautiful little cove and quite neighborhood. It was so neat to wake up and watch the turtles every morning. By far the best part I will miss. The home is just in need of some general maintenance and care. Issues that arose were handled, but an inconvenience with 8 people staying. I believe for the price per evening we expected a little more. Overall we had a great time in Maui, and look forward to our return.

Location, location, location!

It was an awesome place for our girls trip of 7 people! It was a bit warm in the two bedrooms without air conditioning but we managed with plenty of fans! Our favorite spot was the second floor open lanai! Turtles in the cove beneath the house all the time- absolutely stunning view and activity with snorkelers and turtles every day! Beautiful, beautiful home for a group, especially for the price but it does need some upkeep on the exterior wood and windows. No regrets- great trip!

Beautiful location

The house accommodated our 8 people nicely and it was clean. However, it is showing it’s age. Living room furniture needs to be replaced, there appeared to be an ant infestation in it. Some of the windows leaked in a lot of rain. Stove and oven were a bit iffy.

Perfect Family Stay!

Aloha Honu Hale was the perfect fit for our 7 adult family Maui vacation. We all had the privacy that 4 bedrooms (3 bedrooms & loft) provided complimented by ample space to cook, eat and relax together in the rest of the house. Very spacious. The kitchen is well equipped, hot tub available, lots of beach chairs/umbrellas to use and room to park 3 cars. Great views of the bay and resident turtles and short drives to anywhere from Lahaina - Kannapali - Kapalua and all the beaches therein. We would definitely return here. Special kudos and Mahalos to Tim for his gracious flexibility in having to do some rescheduling because of Covid restrictions, much appreciated!

May celebration

Our stay was wonderful for our large group of family. We had plenty of space, supplies from a well stocked kitchen to snorkel and beach gear. We loved the views of the honu swimming and we swam in the cove often with them. When the internet was done for most of the stay, the manager and owners continued to work on the problem. As for critters inside, be aware that this is daily and more than a few. Keep the windows without screens shut tightly and most outside lights off at night. Overall this was a wonderful place with magnificent views, privacy and space for a once in a lifetime vacation.

Photos are Deceiving

Don't believe everything you see. The Photos show a very nice home. Real life, home is very run down with very little up keep. Old used item are shoved in closets. Yard is not kept up. The French doors in all bedrooms do not work and you can tell they leaked and have not worked for quite sometime although owner stated they are waiting for parts. Some Windows are not in working order will not open or close, and half with no screens. Mattress are worn in all bedrooms, and the AC only in 2 bedrooms can hardly keep it cool. There is no Gym but a glider that is rusted and hard to maneuver. The host was easy to reach and returned text when needed. You can see the ocean but not accessible from property. The garage has caught on fire and by the looks of it has been sitting there for quite sometime with no repairs done. The neighborhood the home exist in is well kept up and quite with no concerns there. The railing on the deck is coming loose so be very careful when putting any weight on it. The washer and dryer worked well al though the washer was leaking and mold was present. Mold also present in middle bedroom.There was plenty of snorkel gear and chairs for the beach, The Stove in the kitchen can easily be turned on with any touch. Be careful with that as we melted a bottle slightly because the knob got bumped on the front of the stove. Over all our experience once we got past the disbelief of how disappointed we was with the home was good, how can it not it was Hawaii..

Great location but some problems

Amazing location on a very nice, secluded development. The bay is wonderful for snorkeling and we have never seen so many turtles in one place. Home itself is dated on the inside and could have been better maintained - bathrooms are not very clean, rust is prevalent around the home. We had an experience with bed bugs in the loft and a possible rodent issue in the kitchen. The manager was very responsive and offered to have the issue looked into right away however owner was quite defensive about the issue when I brought it to his attention.

Beware of Poor Property Condition

Listing states the property is not pristine, not only is it not pristine it is in a state of disrepair and in need of maintenance. The listing photos are either very old or photoshopped. The host will respond that the rent is highly discounted to account for the property condition however I would not stay here for free. We paid for 6 nights but left after the first night when we found dying cockroaches in the kitchen in the morning. On the day of arrival we were notified the hot tub was not functional and only two of the four parking spaces were available. Our rented SUV barely fit in the 2 parking spaces. The garage door was bashed in with a plywood patch. A large mass of bird droppings were on the main walkway we had to dodge this with our luggage. We reported this day one and it was not remedied. The kitchen cabinets have permanent stains and need to be refinished. The deck wood railing is dry and cracking. The exterior doors in the bedrooms are not functional. The were several other problems. We informed the host we were vacating the property on day 2 he refused any refund. This property might be ok for fraternity brothers at a bachelor party but not acceptable for a family with guests.

Family Adventure

The house is on a beautiful cove. The snorkelling was amazing. Turtles and fish were everywhere. We also could see the whales and dolphins from the outside balcony. We were a party of 8 adults. Lots of room. As described the home is older and dated but we saw through that. It is a tropical climate so expect the occasional “bug” or two. The kitchen is equipped with everything you may need. The views are beautiful. The access to the cove is a short walk. It is close to grocery store and other retail stores. There is a local Farmers market Wednesday and Saturday mornings. The property manager is available at a moments notice. It is a gated area so was quiet. We did many activities so be sure to plan as it is a drive to the other end of the island. Early mornings are usually not so busy. We had surfers in the group so they drove around quite a bit to find the good spots. There is no central air but the bedroom portable was sufficient. We did keep the windows open and the breeze was beautiful. We would not hesitate to stay again but remember its well lived in. The price is extremely reasonable for what you are getting.

The location was perfect. The nearby beaches were perfect. The snorkeling was perfect. The communication with the property manager was perfect. Everything about this visit was close to flawless. We had a group of eight adults (four couples) and the home was more than comfortable for the entire crew. The laughs, the games we played and the "ohana" permeated throughout the week. As past reviewers have noted, yes, the home is in need of some TLC. But if you can tolerate a few aesthetic issues and remind yourself you are in a warm, tropic environment, maybe you can look past them as we did. For those who are a tad less permissive, expect to see some bumps and bruises throughout and you won't be put-off. For example, the stove is a bit temperamental, trim pieces are coming loose, there is water damage on many of the windows and patio doors, and the washing machine may "eat" small garments. Also note that Honokeana Bay is not accessible from the property as we originally thought, as one needs to exit the front gate, walk a half block down the road and then can access the cove from the shore opposite the home. But I must say it is worth the five-minute trek as we never saw so many sea turtles in our lives! Honokeana Bay is literally teaming with them. Also, there was plenty of snorkel gear, beach chairs, and countless beach towels for guests. The only thing we needed were fins, which I rented at Boss Frogs (in the strip mall nearby) for ten bucks a week. Speaking of the strip mall nearby, don't look past Maui Tacos. So so good! Overall, Honu Hale was well worth the visit and we'd likely return. Thank you to the team, specifically Christin who seems to "live aloha" every day. Much mahalo.

You get what you pay for

Overall, our stay at this property was fine. There's a reason though that it's priced well below what others in the same area are. Upon arrival, the carpet by the French doors in the master and middle bedrooms was soaked! We immediately notified the local property manager, who was very responsive. She came the next morning with a wet vac. Conveniently, there was also a small ventilation fan in the bedroom closet, which we ran all week. The fact it was there though leads me to believe this is not the first time this has happened. There are also louvered windows throughout the house. They're very nice, but the handles are broken on many of them, and they can't be closed completely. On our second morning, a pretty good rain storm blew in. My wife and daughter were feeding our grandsons in the living room, when the rain started coming in through the windows. Again, w/ no way to completely close the windows, this continued until the rain stopped. Fortunately, the room was tiled, so no soaked carpet. I did have to find a mop though to clean up. Additional water also came into the bedroom, extending that issue. Bottom line, the house needs some maintenance. That said, the location is fantastic, we saw whales and sea turtles from our deck almost every day. We didn't let the problems detract from our visit. However, if issues like this would bother you, you might want to spend a bit more. BTW, we had no issues w/ bugs as some other reviews have mentioned.

Very good value! World class views!

Aloha. For starters, my communication with the homeowner and property manager was very quick whenever I relayed an issue. The home is jaw dropping after a quick look around. The views are spectacular. Everything worked. If you are into rice, we could not locate the cord for the rice cooker. If you like coffee, there is a Kuerig. There is also a conventional coffee maker to make one large pot. There is one air conditioner in the home and is in the master bedroom. It worked well. Open up the doors to the lanai and jalousie windows and the breeze was terrific in early June. Never needed the a/c for the other rooms, including the third level. My two teen sons slept up there and didn't complain. All the bedrooms had fans to help with airflow. I will say the middle bedroom downstairs was the warmest because you couldn't open the lanai doors. Large tv in the main living room with cable for your live sports. Don't think the other tv's had cable, but did have streaming. The hot tub. Kids were excited about the hot tub and climbed in the day we checked in. Son developed a slight rash that quickly went away. My daughter is still suffering 9 days later. I never shared this with the property manager. Was hoping the rash would go away. The hot tub cleaner arrived the following day, on Sunday, I believe. I told him about my daughter as he was testing the water. He said the water was fine as he was testing. Ten minutes later, he asked me if we had added anything to the water. Just some pool toys, no liquids. I didn't follow up to his question. I should have. Insects and creatures. Yes, you will encounter quite a few different species inside the home. Don't kill the geckos. They eat insects and are considered good luck. The neighbor living above the garage is a nice young man. His mother works at the Gazebo Restaurant and is a funny entertainer/waitress with great energy. There is room for two vehicles in the garage. Honokeana was awesome to swim in. Calm and we saw honu both times. Fins and mask available. We knew going in, based on the honest vrbo listing, that this home has a few issues. Based on the size (over 3,100 square feet), having four bedrooms, world class views, price compared to other 3 plus bedroom units, and quick responses from manager and owner, this home has earned its 5 stars. For the record, the home across the street, very much updated, lists for $2,850 per night. Perspective. That's over $2k savings per NIGHT after tax! Mahalo!

We will be back…

This was the perfect house for our family adventure in Maui. The location can’t be beat as it is right on Turtle Cove where snorkeling with turtles and fish was an easy daily activity. The surfer in our family was ecstatic over the conditions and proximity to the waves. The house was large and comfortable for our extended family ages 4-74. We felt instantly at home from the time we entered the front door. The manager was super responsive and neighbors friendly and welcoming. We would come back and stay here again.
