Das 'Little Bear Cottage' ist einstöckig und ideal für zwei Personen.
Kommen Sie nach einem erlebnisreichen Tag in ein komfortables, sauberes Zimmer. Genießen Sie einen Drink auf der umzäunten Terrasse, grillen Sie eine Mahlzeit oder gehen Sie in eines der vielen guten Restaurants, die diese Gegend zu bieten hat. Dieses Cottage verfügt über eine gut ausgestattete Küchenzeile mit einem kleinen Kühl- / Gefrierschrank, einer Mikrowelle (bitte KEINE Kochplatten, Herdplatten oder Bratpfannen mitbringen) und einem großen Spülbecken, das auch als Waschbecken im Bad genutzt wird. Für die Duschkabine stellen wir Ihnen frische saubere Handtücher zur Verfügung. Dieses Zimmer bietet außerdem eine Klimaanlage, einen 28-Zoll-Flachbildfernseher von Samsung mit dem mittleren Paket von Direct TV sowie WLAN. Dieses Gerät wird von einem schönen Propankaminofen mit Thermostat für eine einfache Bedienung beheizt.

Perfect little cabin

Cabin has all you need to enjoy the great outdoors. We came from out of state to hike Yosemite. Was a great location with grocery stores and gas stations close by along with being right down 41….not a bad drive up to Yosemite each day! Highly recommend for travelers who do not need all the extras! Host was very friendly and helpful! Definitely will be staying here again when we come back to hike!

Great Stay

Yosemite’s Suite Retreat was as advertised and just what we needed for our visit to the area and to attend a wedding at Yosemite. We really loved the privacy and being in our own space. Found several great restaurants close by. Would definitely stay again. Good communication with host.

Perfect cottage for a visit to Yosemite. Clean comfortable space. The detailed note by the hose could not have been more helpful. We went to two restaurants she recommended and both were fantastic! If we visit Yosemite again we will book again!

Really is perfect for two..

We had a great time staying at the suite retreat! It was exactly as advertised and had everything we needed right at our fingertips. Although the studio is right around the corner from 41 and all the shops you would need, it still feels like you are far away from it all. It is also very close to the park's Southern entrance, Bass Lake, and some amazing hikes outside of Yosemite. Thanks for a great place to call home for our vacation.

Little Bear Cottage

I was in the area for a couple of days for a gathering in nearby Fish Camp. The Bear cottage was a comfortable , clean, and quiet unit located just off the highway in Oakhurst. It’s located close to restaurants, shopping, and Bass Lake. It’s about 30 min from the South entrance to Yosemite. Sharon, the property host, gave clear instructions for check in/out. She and her husband live on site. I never got to meet them but it was nice knowing that assistance, if needed, was close by. A great stay…would definitely stay again!

Perfect place

My wife and I (as well as our dog) just came back from a two night stay at The Little Bear Cottage. We couldn't be happier with the experience. The cottage offered all we needed: a great bed, kitchenette, and relaxing atmosphere. It's located just 15 miles from the south gate of Yosemite and there are a number of great restaurants in the area. If we ever get back to Yosemite, we would certainly contact Sharon & Mike.

We had a wonderful 3 nights stay at little Bear cottage. Lovely, peaceful location. Easy access to Bass Lake and not to far from yosemite. Lots of places to eat nearby we also made use of the bbq and enjoyed the peace and beauty of the property. Check in and out was super easy. The place was spotlessly clean and Tidy. Super cute hide away and the perfect size for 2. So much more charm than the near-by soulless chain hotels. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again or recommend to a friend.

The little cottage was perfect for the two of us. We look forward to staying here again.

I'm glad we chose this cottage for our weekend getaway to Yosemite. We arrived earlier than check in and were pleasantly greeted by Sharon and her husband. It wasn't quite ready so we grabbed some sandwiches from town and had a little picnic at Bass Lake. Cottage was fully equiped and clean. I was a little disappointed when we received a message from Sharon a week before our arrival that the stove had been removed, but we made it work by bringing our own electric griddle. We plan to stay here the next time we visit Yosemite.

A great little getaway close to home

Well, we had just gotten married, and we were looking for a quiet place to celebrate a weekend honeymoon, abd judt be wuth eachother.This lovely little cottage offered just that. It was comfortable, and stocked with everything we might need. We were able make nice meals, and relax inside and out. I had envisioned it being a little more secluded, but that was not an issue. Sharon was a gracious host, there to help with anything. She even came out late in the evening to change out a propane tank, and relight the pilot in the gas fireplace, which in itself was very inviting. We enjoyed ourselves while in the area, and will definitely consider coming back to stay in the little bear cottage .

Cute and quiet.

Great experience. Sharon was very helpful. Unfortunately, the stove had been removed due to insurance/liability issues, but I was not cooking anyway. Sharon made an accommodation on price. Microwave and fridge were all I needed.

Charming Cottage

The cottage was clean and very welcoming, we had a wonderful 2 day stay and would definitely return. Sharon & Mike were friendly without overstepping their bounds. We appreciate the fact that they allowed us to bring our 2 dogs Kobe & Mia and it was nice to know that they were the first dogs to ever stay at the cottage. Hopefully they won't be the last LOL. Another plus if you are going to Yosemite this cottage is one of the closest to the south entrance that you will find. Thank for your hospitality, hope to be back soon

Cozy, quiet, comfortable

My husband and I stayed in the cottage for a week while hiking in Yosemite and local areas. We loved this rental, the photos don't do it justice. The cottage was cozy and had everything we needed. The bed was super comfortable and the location quiet, making for a great night's sleep after a day of hiking. The owner was nearby and accessible if you needed anything, but otherwise gave you privacy during your stay. It was perfect. We spent time in Yosemite, but also the local Bass Lake and Lewis Creek trail, which we recommend. Also recommend South Gate Brewing for dinner and beer as well as the deck at Dulcey's on the Lake at Bass Lake and live music at Queen's Inn By the River on Saturday evenings. Excellent week!

Perfect Getaway

The Little Bear cottage was a fantastic place to stay. The cabin is cozy but roomy. The kitchen was extremely well stocked, including coffee grinder, tea kettle and blender as well as all the utensils needed. The BBQ pit worked extremely well and the outdoor area is very nice. The cabin was clean and the owners included everything we needed and even a good stock of shampoo and soap if you forget yours. The bed was very comfortable and their were plenty of extra blankets. The Wifi was quick and reliable to find things to do in Yosemite. The little town of Oakhurst was a cute place with lots of antique shops and the drive to Yosemite is peaceful and not to long. It is about 30 minutes to the Yosemite entrance and an hour to Yosemite Valley. We can't wait to visit Yosemite again and this cabin will be our preferred place to stay.

This location is FABULOUS and convenient to Yosemite National Park, Bass Lake, lots of restaurants and less than 2 minutes from Oakhurst's town amenities yet we are nestled on 3 lovely acres.
Back in 2004 my partner Mike discovered this “gem” of a property and purchased it before it entered the real estate market and from there, we’ve had quite a journey. First it was an awesome place for Mike to tinker and put his passion for carpentry and pride of ownership to work while we rented to full time tenants. Then in 2010 we found ourselves living here unexpectedly from a remote mountain property. This place offered a lovely country setting yet being very close to Oakhurst’s township, Bass Lake and of course Yosemite. We were only using the Gingerbread Tiny House occasionally for friends and family when my dear friend Kirsty Lebovitz who owns SierraScape Vacation Rentals suggested that I turn the cottage into a vacation rental for two. So I did! That is how Yosemite’s Suite Retreat’s Gingerbread Tiny House came to be! Thank you, Kirsty!

We are an alternative to a hotel/motel, renting a full size home and of course camping! We are NOT a remote mountain property. On our shared 3 acres we have several separate living quarters all unique and loaded with character. They are all separate from each other with each having their own yards and driveways.
