Our family of 5 visited with our Bernedoodle. The setting was very nice. Pros:-owner was very responsive to all communication before and during visit!-the house was stocked with coffee filters, hand soap, garbage bags, as well as a starter toilet paper and paper towels. -the view from the enclosed porch was beautiful and that was great for coffee, reading, puzzles.-water pressure in the shower was very good, beds were comfy enough, and our teens loved sleeping in the loft. We also appreciated that it was dog friendly and it was near a lot of cool spots. (We loved The Contented Sole restaurant and Harbor Ice Cream; visiting the lighthouse, and walking over to the little Pebble beach by the fort where we could hang out with our dog and wade in the water).-the cottage is as advertised, and smelled freshly cleaned upon walking in.Cons:-The house could use a deep clean. The silverware drawers and cabinets had visible crumbs and such to the point that we washed everything before using it. The bedroom walls had cobwebs and my daughter found broken glass under her bed.-the twin room downstairs smelled strongly of urine, to the point where we had to pull out the area rug and clean the floors, which made it much better. -the water tasted very metallic, to the point that no one would drink it. I didn’t see this mentioned in the listing and would have liked to know to bring water. Overall I’d give 3.5 stars and we did enjoy our time here!
