Dieses Haus wurde vor ein paar Jahren renoviert ... mit allen neuen Geräten von Küchenbedarf bis Bettwäsche bietet es Ihnen einen erstklassigen Kurzurlaub.

Nach meiner Erfahrung ist es heutzutage schwierig, eine SAUBERE Ferienunterkunft zu finden ... Ich kann Ihnen versichern, unser Ferienhaus ist makellos und sauber zwischen jedem Mieter von Decke zu Boden !!

Der Ozean, der sich am Ufer entlang wäscht, wird Sie mit Sicherheit in den Schlaf wiegen und das erste Geräusch sein, das Sie morgens hören, wenn Sie aufwachen. Beginnen Sie Ihre Wandertage am felsigen Ufer und genießen Sie den weiten Blick auf die Bucht von Pigeon Hill, einschließlich der örtlichen Hummerfischer, die ihre Fallen nur wenige Meter vom Cottage entfernt schleppen. Der Petit Manan Leuchtturm ist in der Ferne zu sehen und das Nebelhorn ist zu hören. Das ist Maine, so wie das Leben sein sollte ...

Nur wenige Minuten von der Hütte entfernt erwartet Sie eine kurze Wanderung auf den Pigeon Hill. Sobald Sie den Gipfel erklimmen, können Sie kilometerweit sehen. Ein perfekter Ort für ein Picknick und tolle Fotomöglichkeiten! Wenn Sie es vorziehen, Vögel zu beobachten oder Rehe oder Hasen zu beobachten, ist eine großartige Wanderung entlang des Hollinsworth Trail am Petit Manan Point angebracht. Besuchen Sie dort die All Souls Chapel.

Die Gottesdienste werden von Anwohnern geleitet und sonntags um 9 Uhr abgehalten.

Sparen Sie ein paar Stunden, um eine Bootsfahrt zum zwei Meilen vor der Küste gelegenen Leuchtturm Petit Manan zu unternehmen. Tägliche Bootstouren verlassen das Dock in Milbridge.

Visit to Maine

We enjoyed the property. It was perfect for the two of us, clean, tidy and in a very nice location. The only improvements we would like to see would be a dishwasher and a king size bed, but washing a dish by hand for a week is fine and you can't complain to much about sleeping a little closer to your spouse.

Cute waterfront cottage in quiet area

First Trip to Maine

My wife and I wanted to enjoy the Fall weather and the changing of the leaves. Well, we were blessed on both counts—60 degrees and the most beautiful reds, oranges and yellows filled our view. In addition, this little hideaway was serene and somehow management was able to arrange a welcome party of a porcupine and a doe! Simply beautiful!

Quaint relaxing getaway

Quiet side of life on the Maine Coast did not disappoint! Plenty of local trails and sites to take in. Beautiful views over morning coffee or evening beverages! Property manager offered many great recommendations and was helpful for any needs. Strongly recommend if you are looking to get away from the tourist crowds, yet still close to explore Acadia and many of the other coastal trails and popular attractions.

Pigeon Hill Bay Cottage

My husband and I stayed here early October. The cottage is private and very relaxing. It is a very clean and well-stocked property. The host is easy to communicate with and very responsive. We hiked around Acadia, Schoodic Peninsula, and visited the very busy town of Bar Harbor. We also got the opportunity to ‘Catch our Dinner’ in Corea. There is so much to do around the area but our favorites were Cadillac Mountain, the lobster boat tour and spending time at the cottage, watching the deer (they love the apple trees😊, also seen a porcupine walk by the porch!) and having a campfire by the water. A little bit of a drive to different destinations which we did not mind because we loved the tranquility of the area. We absolutely loved the cottage!

Fun in Steuben

The cabin was great and located in a beautiful area. There were lots of outdoor activities, shops and cute restaurants nearby. A true Maine experience. We will definitely be back!!

Great weekend getaway

Beautiful location on an incredibly peaceful inlet. Perfect place to relax and enjoy the Maine coast scenery away from all of the crowds in Acadia. The cottage is very clean and well furnished, lots of good advice from Wanda on where to get food and hiking in the area.

Beautiful stay by the sea

This cottage was very clean and well stocked. It's a simple but roomy cottage with spectacular views and relaxing atmosphere. It's close to Acadia and Bar Harbor yet away from the hustle and bustle. Our kids loved exploring the beach in the mornings at low tide and I enjoyed my morning coffee with the quiet lapping of the waves. The stargazing here is overwhelmingly spectacular

What a great property - just as described. Wanda was very attentive to any questions we had. Remote but close to small villages for needed amenities. Evening fires allowed us to be outside listening to the waves ... a S’more or two may have been enjoyed as well.

Gorgeous views and immaculate charming cottage

Wanda was extremely communicative and helpful before and during our stay. The location was amazing with mesmerizing views! A mile down the road was Hollingsworth Trail.. fabulous! Winter Harbor had a cute yummy diner. Chipmans In Milbridge was the real lobsterman experience where we brought home cooked seafood. 44degrees North was a great lobster lunch. The shop across the street has cute souvenirs. Machias was a beautiful drive. Lunch at Helens was super. Also drove from there to Jasper Beach and Rogue Bluff. Schoodic Point is definitely worth the drive too. I’d stay there again in a minute!

Beautiful spot away from it all!

We had a wonderful time on pigeon road! The house was perfectly appointed and clean and just right for our family of five. It’s right on the water on a cute country lane. Everything about the spot was beautiful and fun. But be prepared to drive an hour to Bar Harbor and the main sites in Acadia. This really is in the middle of “nowhere.” It’s pretty and just right if that’s what you’re after! There are some closer hikes, but we spent most of our time in Acadia/Bar Harbor since we’d never been before and it was a bit of a haul. Wanda is really wonderful. Very communicative, friendly, helpful — and had the house spotless for us upon arrival. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay!

Cozy Cottage

My sons and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this little cottage by the sea. We appreciated the private and quiet beachfront setting and the many amenities that the cottage offered. The air-conditioned loft area was the perfect spot for the boys. The cottage was clean and well-maintained. Wanda was a very responsive and helpful host. We were happy to be within an hour of the Bar Harbor/Acadia area and took several day trips to the park, including Schoodic Point. Having a grocery store and good take-out spots only a few minutes away was an added bonus. We were surprised with the wildlife we saw from the cottage: a bald eagle, deer, a rabbit, and “Spike” the porcupine. The puffin cruise 5 minutes down the road was great too. We hope to return soon!

Gorgeous Quiet Spot

This cottage was a perfect spot for our family of 5 to enjoy several days on the coast. The "village" of Pigeon Hill is very quiet and peaceful--there is not much further down the peninsula, so the road is quiet. The cottage itself was spotless and in excellent condition all around. Everything we needed was there, including kitchen supplies and a clothes washer and dryer. It is 1:15 to Bar Harbor, 40 minutes to Schoodic Point, and 45 minutes to Jonesport/Beals. Closer still are a number of less known (but still beautiful) areas. We biked to the end of Petit Manan point and hiked there in the Wildlife Refuge. Very nice! We highly recommend this cottage.

Perfect Relaxing Experience

Our experience could not have been better, from the moment we booked the property until we had to say goodbye. The house is well stocked lacking nothing, is at an incredible location, immaculately clean and extremely comfortable. The location was perfect to utilize adjacent hiking trails, a quick drive to Millbridge for some of the best Mexican food ever at Vasquez Mexican Takeout and any shopping needed. At night we enjoyed the wonderful waterside firepit where we heard the lapping waves and watched the stars appear one by one. It doesn’t get much better than that! Thank you Wanda you were a dream to communicate with, although nothing was needed, we knew you were there should be have. It was hard to leave for both adults and children. We will return!

Blessed to be on the bay

Wow! Have you ever shown up to a home and felt your sense of awe just overwhelm you? This is the place! The evening we arrived my entire family (including 2 teens) bolted out of the car and ran to the bay and permagrins on every one of our faces! Simple, quaint, picturesque, off the grid....... exactly what you appreciate our of a peaceful vacation! We loved it! Loved it ALL! We feel so incredibly blessed to have had this opportunity to stay on the bay in this adorable cottage! It was super clean, cute and had everything we needed! From the initial questions in the booking process through check in and check out we had the greatest VRBO hosts you could imagine! Wanda.....how do you describe her other than the "Siri of Steuben"! She was a wealth of knowledge....like having your own personal travel consultant! We loved our time here, thank you so much for the opportunity to see Maine for the first time in an authentic experience! We are so grateful! The Guernsey Family (Michigan)

I went to school here in Steuben Me. I Joined the Marines after High School and retired in 2002. I currently live in Connecticut with my family.

This property has been in my family for 3 generations. I lobster fished right out front when I was going through school. I know all the locals in the area. These people work hard on the water and you should come watch. It is so relaxing to see the boats out hauling traps.

What really makes me love this home is having the windows cracked at night. Listen to the waves hitting the shore with the peepers in the back ground. Oh, yea. then there is good ol' Petit Manan light house fog horn off in the distance. Man, that is it, you're out for a great night sleep.
