Willow Aviator Lodge - pool table, sauna, fire pit

Relaxing, spacious, and private 3500sq ft log cabin to yourself on an airstrip in Willow. 30 min S of Talkeetna and 2.5 hrs S of Denali Nat Park. Great for families, we have all you need for children (two pack n plays and high chairs). Sit on the deck while your kids play in the large yard and watch airplanes takeoff. Go fishing in one of the nearby rivers. Unwind in the “Aviator Lounge” with a bar, pool table, and entertainment for all ages. End the evening with a fire or sauna. You’ll have plenty of space to park your ATV, boat/ snowmachine trailer, or RV in the long paved driveway. Willow has miles of trail systems and rivers. It is also close to Talkeetna for great food and the beautiful Hatchers Pass for hiking and sightseeing. Willow is home of the world famous dog mushing Iditarod race and some of the best views of Denali! Intimate weddings of 50 or less approved on a case by case basis to include use of the airplane hangar.

Enter to a spacious foyer with a library and piano sitting room. Read one of the many books. Then walk through to the open concept living, dining, and oversized kitchen. The dining table seats six and the island next to it seats five. We have two high chairs available for little ones. The kitchen has a double oven and plenty of prep space if you want to spend a holiday here. We have all the bakeware, utensils, and dishes you will need. Our host provides you with a stocked coffee/ tea bar. A hallway takes you to a guest room, guest bathroom, and master suite with sauna. All bathrooms have double sinks. We have a baby bath/ soap, toddler toilet seat and step stool. An XL dog kennel is provided in the master bedroom.

Downstairs you will find a huge recreation room complete with pool table, dance floor with strobe lights, and bar. The bar is a piece of AK history having been salvaged from downtown Anchorage! We also have a variety of toys/ games for all ages including a vintage Nintendo NES system. The rec room has a pull out couch and 2 futons. Off of the rec room is another guest room and bathroom. Two Pack N Plays are available for use.

Outside is a large yard and wrap around deck with gas fire pit, grill, and picnic table. Bring your kids bikes and enjoy the outdoor games provided! The airstrip is about a mile around and great for taking a walk or run with your dog.
