Perfect position in town!
The position of the property was just great! We could walk to the grocery store (across the street) and to the pharmacy. Next to the property is an ice cream parlor which offered delicious ice cream! There was also miniature golf next to the property. Unfortunately we couldn't try it because we just stayed for 2 nights. We highly recommend "Five Corners Cafe", it was awesome and you can walk there too!
The reasons we give just 4 stars are as follows:
There is no cleaning service. First of all, we don't like to clean during our vacation. Secondly, we didn't know who rented the property before us so we didn't know how thoroughly the cleaning was done. We know the owner checks that before arrival and we didn't find any dirty places but nevertheless it "felt unclean". We would prefer paying a cleaning fee.
Also, we found it very tricky to pay as it was not possible to pay via credit card. We come from Germany and it is not that easy to pay via check.
Nevertheless, we knew these thing beforehand and yet we rented the property and here is why: It was the best we could find in Old Forge!
