Escape to the mountains at Lovefield Farm! Enjoy a secluded stay in a spacious single story home, nestled in the woods with a view and 35 private acres. Enjoy local hikes, breweries & wineries, relax on the deck with a glass of wine, or take in breakfast in bed with an unbeatable view. The farmhouse is less than 15 minutes from downtown historic Lexington, the Virginia Horse Center, VMI & W&L. Soak in a mountain getaway without sacrificing nearby modern amenities and experiences.
The Highland Farmhouse sits at the end of an extensive & private gravel drive. It boasts a cozy and comfortable single floor living space with incredible countryside views. The home is part of Lovefield Farms, a local working farm. It provides guests access to trails along the expansive pasture.
The property is located a short 15 minute drive from Lexington's two universities: Washington & Lee and Virginia Military Institute, as well as the Virginia Horse Center.
Three beds and two baths are separated from the primary bedroom (and its floor to ceiling mountain view) by the living and kitchen spaces. The back entrance allows for a two-step entry to aid in accessibility. The kitchen is stocked with all the basic necessities, and the home is appointed with all the linens you'll need for your stay.
You'll have access to the entirety of the home! Our team is always nearby in the event we can help with your stay, but you'll be guaranteed all the privacy you could need.
Highland Cottage sits at the end of Lovefield Lane, a private gravel drive shared by three additional homes. The long private driveway from Lovefield Lane up to the home provides abundant privacy.
We recommend bringing your own vehicle for getting around the larger area, as Lexington does not currently have an active taxi or cab service.
We are a 15 minute drive to downtown Lexington, a 10 minute drive to the VA Horse Center, and a 25 minute drive to Natural Bridge.
For our summertime guests, the home is equipped with several overhead fans and a window cooling unit in the primary living space at the center of the home. We've found that opening sliding doors and windows allows for a comfortable cross-breeze!
For our wintertime guests, we recommend traveling to the home with a 4-wheel drive vehicle in the event that we experience snow or ice during your stay. The gravel drive up to the home will make you grateful you came prepared!
Additional note: As a pet-friendly property, we warmly welcome your pets. Please note that a pet fee of $150 will be added to your reservation to ensure thorough cleaning for our next guests, especially those with allergies. This fee will be applied once we update your reservation details to reflect the correct number of guests and pets. If you have any questions or need assistance with your reservation, please feel free to reach out.
