If Only we had Read the Reviews-Never Again
We would not have booked this property. Most of what we experienced were mentioned in the reviews:Carpets were very stained in every room. When we spoke with the host, he said, “Those carpets are professionally cleaned every week.” There is no way that is true.Electrical Problems. First night the outlets in the upstairs bedrooms would not work and the light in the master would not work. Host claimed that was the first time he had heard of that problem. It was mentioned in one of the reviews. I had to go to Walmart at 10:30 pm to get an extension cord for my CPAP. A faulty GFI outlet was mentioned in the reviews. When the electrician arrived the next morning, he walked right into the garage and reset the GFI. He said he had been there multiple times for the same issue. It went out later again in the week but I could not get the GFI to reset.Garbage was overflowing and garage had old furniture and project garbage and supplies lining the walls. I realize the host has no control over the amount of garbage guests generate so no problem there but the garbage and old furniture in the garage was consistent with the deferred maintenance in the rest of the house.Remotes missing and difficulty getting the upstairs TV on. There were no remotes for the upstairs TV. Host claimed he had not had a problem with that. He did order a new remote for the upstairs TV and we were able to get it working. Again the reviews did mention the difficulty with the TV
