Great cottage, great location.

The cottage is in excellent shape and well-equipped. Two nice bedrooms on second floor and a very nice, wide open, light and bright living room on the main floor. Kitchen is well equipped and tidy, nice big yard and a beautiful sun-deck on second floor off of master bedroom with glimpses of the ocean. Fabulous ocean view from the end of the driveway as well. Well-equipped and secure shed with all kinds of beach toys, chairs etc. There is only one bathroom, which is downstairs so you have to come down the stairs if you need to use it in the night but that was not a problem. Lovely outdoor shower also makes single bathroom less of an issue. There is NO WIFI, which is worth knowing if that is an issue for you, but cell service in that location was fine. Overall location is terrific. We've been visiting OGT for many years and have stayed in different areas and found this location to be great. About a 15 minute walk to the beach entrance and town centre, and only a 10 minute walk to Perkins Cove. The Marginal Way and some of those small beaches off of it are almost at your doorstep -- less than 5 minutes away. Vicky and Bruce were excellent hosts and very accessible when needed. We really enjoyed our stay and we hope to return.

Smartly designed beach house in great location

Steps from small beach, 15 minute walk to main beaches. Fantastic second floor roof patio with partial view of water. House immaculate and smartly designed with small bedrooms upstairs and one giant central room on ground floor with 270 degree windows for great ocean breezes. Perfect place to crash with a family - one minor note for small children is that the staircase leading upstairs doesn't really have bars under the railing (e.g. the treads are open on the side) so little ones need to be supervised going up/down. Some family-friendly books, toys, DVDs and DVD player were left that our kids enjoyed. No WiFi.

Quaint and cozy in a perfect location

This was the perfect place for an amazing week in Ogunquit!! The cabin was comfortable and cozy, very clean, and had everything we needed. Beds are comfy, kitchen is well stocked, and the new AC unit in the master bedroom was a welcome treat on our hottest day. It’s in walking distance to everything, at the top of a beautiful neighborhood, with ocean views in the distance. Our 16, 13, and 9 year olds loved the place so much they never even complained about sharing a room. Vicky was very kind, communicative, and accommodating and even helped prepare a birthday surprise for my husband. We would absolutely stay here again!!

Lovely Cottage!

My family stayed for a week in July and loved it! The cottage was immaculate and very comfortable. The owner was very helpful. The house had everything we needed and the outdoor shower was a big bonus. The best part was the location. It was a two minute walk to the "little beach" off Marginal way, which was so delightful. Also walkable to town, the "big beach", and Perkins cove. I highly recommend!!

Immaculate, charming cottage!

This was our second stay at this charming, classic New England beach cottage. Ogunquit as a whole is a gorgeous little village and this cottage is nothing short of perfect. The listing description is wholly accurate in total scope. The place is spotless and bright and clean. Pine window casings, countless windows to open and let the ocean air breeze through the living quarters and bedrooms. My wife and I stayed here with our little boy, but the cottage easily sleeps much more. It is private yet close to the quaint downtown village where there are a number of great eateries and bars. It is an even closer walk to the Marginal Way and the beach. Vicky is a great resource in terms of fun family activities to do in the area, as well as responsive to any renter's needs. She was gracious and very helpful to us. I would recommend this property to anyone in my own family or friends looking for a relaxing, beach vacation. Reading on the balcony with a cup of coffee is the ultimate way to start a morning. We enjoyed the Candy Shoppe in Perkins Cove and the Finest Kind boat cruises as well as the wonderful, rocky beaches. Our little family cannot wait to return next summer!

Great location, easy access to downtown

Really nice place, had all amenities you would need. Only issue was very humid week with no air conditioning and no cable tv or WiFi. We actually enjoyed the no tv as we played some games as well as got a lot of reading done. Outside shower is fantastic!

A wonderful place to enjoy Ogunquit

This cottage is a wonderful vacation spot, in a quiet neighborhood, and is a 2-3 minute walk to the Marginal Way and to the neighborhood beach (which appears at low tide) and at low tide this local beach connects to the larger town beach. From the house it's an easy 10-15 minute walk along the Marginal Way north to the center of Ogunquit and the main town beach, or the same distance south to Perkins Cove, for lunch and sailing or a ride on a lobster boat. The house is very clean and tidy, well built, and has a large living room and dining area downstairs along with a kitchen and bathroom. Plus, there is an outdoor shower on the side of the house, for rinsing off after the beach. The kitchen has everything you would need in terms of supplies and equipment. Upstairs are two bedrooms with sloped ceilings and dormer windows, and a wonderful room-sized deck, from which you can see the ocean through the trees. All the windows in the house are well screened and there are fans in every room. Recommendation: If you happen to get up at 5am one day, you can walk right down the street to the ocean and see the sun rise right up out of the water - a wonderful opportunity for photographers!

Bright & Beautiful cottage in a fantastic location

The cottage is bright, airy and very clean!! The property is well manicured and landscaped and it was a very comfortable fit for my husband and I since we love to sit outside. There is sun and shade so you can hang out wherever you are most comfortable. The closest beach is literally 2 minutes away and during low tide it is just so enjoyable to sit near the water and take in the views. Being able to access Marginal Way was a bonus and we walked to Perkins Cove as well as to the main beach - it is a breathtaking walk whichever way you choose. We were lucky enough to be ther on July 4th and were able to view the fireworks from the upstairs deck enjoying them with a bottle of wine and not having to head into the crowds. Roberto's Restaurant is right at the bottom of the street so on the night we didn't feel like venturing too far, we walked down - no driving needed all week. Exceptional location and extremely nice folks to rent from. I'm sure we will revisit in the future!! Kathie & Scott Clark

Perfect summer getaway for the family!

We absolutely loved every moment we spent at the cottage. It is immaculate and perfectly laid out. Very enjoyable breeze; even on the hottest of days, you'd never notice it (as the house is perfectly situated on top of a hill). A real gem of a place. Vicky and Bruce could not be nicer folks. The perfect distance to the 'little beach' down the hill and the various eateries down the other direction. Love the outdoor shower!!! I want one. 5 stars all the way. We hope to be back again!

A very nice and sunny cottage by the sea

The cottage is very clean and bright with a nice yard.. The small beach is a 2 minutes walk as is the Marginal Way. The main beach is a 15 minutes walk. Beautiful cottage in ideal location

My wife and I have been staying here for a week each summer for the last 6 years. As we have added children, they have joined us for a week of unwinding and a slower pace of life. The cottage is located within a 10 minute walk to either the downtown or Perkins cove, via either the marginal way or walking the back roads and seeing some amazing houses. The cottage is at the top of a hill overlooking the ocean and there are several small beaches that are perfect for kids since they can explore without one having to worry about them getting lost in the crowds like at larger beach. The owners have all of amenities that you could need to enjoy your stay including lots of beach toys, towels, chairs, shovels and nets. My two boys, (ages 2 and 4) love playing in the sand but if you want to take a break from the sand, there is a large park a two minute walk from the house where you can play ball, tag or anything else that requires a running area. We usually enjoyed lunch and dinner down on the patio by the garden and you feel so secluded. The house is very clean and tidy and if you ever need anything the homeowners are a half hour away. As another reviewer mentioned, we try to go the whole week without driving but if you want to drive, there are plenty of things to do and see within easy driving distance.

Warm and inviting

We've been fortunate to have stayed here many times over the years. The location is quiet and tucked back from the road. It is a perfect place to relax and unwind. The home is crisp and clean. Marginal way is a must every day. Relax on the private beach just a few minutes walk. Perkins Cove is close by. Walked down the hill to Roberto's for dinner. Highly recommend.

Charming Cottage Stay

This sweet cottage was a perfect choice for our family! It has the charm and ease of beach living. Inside the owners have provided all the amenities one needs. Very clean and the natural light permeates the living space. Enjoy the second floor balcony while having a meal as you view the ocean. The property is beautifully landscaped. The patio is secluded by hedges and gardens. A short walk and you will be at Perkins Cove, shops and great restaurants. If you are fortunate to be here over the 4th of July, watch the fireworks while sitting on the rocks. They are fantastic!! Elaine N

Immaculate, charming cottage in central location

My family has been coming to this cottage for many years. We love the cottage itself—it is charming, clean, uncluttered—a perfect beach cottage with lots of light and well kept grounds. It has a balcony where my husband and I love having a glass of wine after we put our kids to bed. But we have also cherished its close proximity to so many special activities in Ogunquit. The cottage is easy walking distance to the beach for swimming, boogie boarding, skimmer boarding, playing in the sand and tide pools. But there is also a river that runs close to the beach (accessible at low tide) where you can ride the current on tubes and snorkel and look for giant crabs. At high tide, on a hot day, we like to swim in the deep water pools—the cold water is invigorating and keeps my kids tough. When you’re done at the beach, the cottage is walking distance to both downtown Ogunquit and Perkins Cove (each via Marginal Way). (When we arrive in Ogunquit, we park our car and barely use if for the rest of the trip.) There are terrific restaurants in the area, charming shops and bakeries. There is a fabulous lobster boat tour out of Perkins Cove after which, you can visit Perkins Cove candy shop—always fun for kids of all ages! For older kids, we discovered last year a local surf camp through Liquid Planet (you would need to drive there). My kids were up on their boards, surfing on their own, after one lesson. Each year, we discover new secrets to this special place. And it is just a perfect setting for a busy family to reconnect!

Perfect beach getaway

Easy walk to a wonderful protected beach ( best at low tide) and the fantastic Marginal Way walkway that takes you right down to the quaint Perkins Cove. Cottage is immaculate and the balcony on the 2nd floor is a wonderful place to enjoy your evening wine while looking out to the ocean. Park the car as you can easily walk to both shopping or dining; or walk down to the bottom of the hill and take the trolly to either downtown Ogunquit or down to the cove.

Fantastic cottage with a perfect location!

The cottage is a quiet beach retreat with easy access to all of the excitement in Ogunquit! It's less than a five-minute walk down the hill to the marginal way and two small beaches that were perfect for our toddlers. It's just a few minutes' walk down the marginal way to the big beach and all the downtown shops and restaurants, or you can walk in the other direction for Perkins Cove, with the drawbridge, shops, restaurants and lobster boat tours. The cottage itself is in a quiet area and has lots out outdoor space to play and barbecue after the beach. The inside is clean, well supplied, and has the perfect beach cottage feel. We've stayed many times over the years.

Wonderful little house

We had the best week staying in this adorable cottage. The location is perfect. Walking distance to beach, marginal way, Perkins cove, coffee shop, restaurants, ice cream. You could spend your whole week and not drive anywhere. House was just as pictured. Immaculate. Had everything we needed. Owners were very friendly and were available if needed.
