Gypsy Sea Cottage - A Seaside Retreat

Our place is located in prestigious Palmetto Dunes in a stand alone unit inside the Queens Grant Villas with easy access to beautiful beaches, world class golf, and great food.

Newly remodeled The Gypsy Sea Cottage boasts high end furnishings, quality linens, high tech amenities, a fully stocked kitchen, and the attention to detail that makes for an unforgettable vacation.

This gorgeously designed home is a one level cottage. The designer touches throughout the property are endless from the custom window treatments and granite countertops to the luxurious spa like linens.

As you walk into the entry foyer you will immediately notice the open concept, high ceilings and gorgeous furnishings! The living room offers a 49’ flat screen TV, Bluetooth enabled sound bar audio system, cable tv, DVD player, and Apple TV for you to use with your own Netflix account.

The master suite is bright and airy and features a luxurious king bed with high end mattress. The bedroom includes a large closet, dresser, and wifi-enabled flat screen TV.

The second bedroom is spacious and a great bedroom for another couple or kids, teens, and grandparents. It features a full size bed, dresser, armoire and flat screen TV. It also has two custom built bunk beds perfect for kids 2-12. Kids love these beds built into a nook that was once a closet space. Each bed has its own dimmable reading light, outlet for electronics, and built in book shelf stocked with some children’s books. Each bed measures 22 inches wide by 6 feet long and is only suitable for kids 12 and under.

The bathroom was recently completely renovated with granite counter tops, custom tile floor, and a subway tile shower / tub combo.

The renovated kitchen features brand new stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the cooking utensils you need for the week. There is a brand new front loading he washer and dryer in this space as well.

The living room and dining room are an open floor plan. The dining table seats 6. The living area has a sliding glass door that extends the living space outside. The private backyard back is furnished with sun loungers, a gas grill, high end turf grass, and beautiful white lights.

There are two community pools a short walk away. It is about a 15 minute walk to the beach with kids and beach necessities in tow, or quicker with just adults. We are located near the 2nd hole fairway so the Clubhouse is a short walk away. Also close by are Whole Foods, Kroger, Shelter Cove Marina (many restaurants and shops), and Shelter Cove Park (playground and lots of community activities). During the months from April 1st to September 1st Palmetto Dunes offers a free on call door to door shuttle service known as The Dunes Buggy that will take you and all your things between the cottage, the beach and all the locations listed above. They typically arrive within 10 minutes of being called and the drivers are great!

The cottage comes stocked with a starter set of paper towels, toilet paper, dish detergent, laundry detergent, garbage bags, and amenities including shampoo, conditioner, body wash and hand soaps, beach towels, bath towels, sheets, and a standard coffee maker with filters. In addition to these household necessities, the home is furnished with beach chairs and beach toys.

Guests have access to the entire property.

Hilton Head Outfitters is located near the cottage and they offer bike rentals. We enjoy biking the island, especially during the cooler months.

Upon booking your reservation, we will send you a digital guest book with details about checking in, additional information about the cottage and neighborhood, and recommendations for your Hilton Head Island stay.
Upon arrival in Palmetto Dunes resort the guest must pay $25 for a parking pass per vehicle (limit 2) that lasts the duration of the stay.

The bunk beds in the second bedroom are only for use by children 12 and under. The width of the beds is 22 inches and they are built into what was a closet space. Due to size and weight limitations on the beds, the maximum number of adult guests for the cottage is 4.
