COMMUNITY / AMENITIES / ATTRACTIONS
The Blue Cabin is located in the desirable, picturesque, Locust Lake Village community. Located only two hours away from NYC and close to all major Poconos attractions! The community features many amenities including 3 lakes, beaches & swimming, fishing, boating, tennis/basketball/volleyball courts and much more! In the winter, there is a ski hill with a rope lift, sledding, and ice skating.
Locust Lake is the busiest lake - the one to go to if you like a party or BBQ. It also has a place to purchase foods such as chicken fingers or funnel fries. Pines lake is the biggest lake and is great for kayaking and fishing. You can rent kayaks, paddle boards, and canoes on weekends. It also has an island in the middle of the lake that you can visit - there’s said to be a deer that lives on the island. East lake is the smallest and quietest and great for little kids. Each lake has a wonderful sandy beach, playground, and volleyball net.
The community regularly hosts fun events for its residents and guests such as arts & crafts, the water slide, corn hole tournaments, BBQs, bonfires, movie nights, sand castle competitions, camp outs, ice cream socials and more! Guests are welcome to join the fun - just make sure you’re wearing your wristband!
Kalahari, Camelback and Great Wolf resorts are nearby within a short drive. Big Boulder and Jack Frost ski resorts are only 15 minutes away. But with so many amenities in the community, you won't even have to leave!
Enjoy some time at the casino if that is more up your alley. Mount Airy is a short 20 minute drive and Mohegan Sun is 30 minutes.

Pocono raceway is another awesome attraction to see. Parents, they also have an incredible playground in the middle of the track that is absolutely free.
Some other nearby attractions you can consider during your stay - golfing/mini golf, white water rafting, nightlife, fine dining, antique/candle stores, hiking, paintball, hunting, horseback riding, mountain biking, or ATVs. The options are endless! Feel free to reach out for any recommendations.

Please be advised that we are located in a private community and there are set quiet time hours between 10 PM and 8 AM. Please be respectful of our neighbors.
As you explore the community, it's not uncommon to spot graceful deer prancing around or perhaps catch a glimpse of a black bear ambling down the road. While these encounters can be thrilling, it's important to remember not to feed the animals to maintain their natural environment.
Whether you're seeking outdoor adventures, access to lakes or hiking trails, or simply a peaceful environment to enjoy nature, this community offers something for everyone. Explore the beauty of the Poconos during the day, and return to the comfort of your cozy cabin in the evenings.
GOLF CART / PETS
For an additional daily fee, you have the option to rent the “Red Rocket”, a sleek red 4-person electric golf cart to enhance your experience during your stay. The golf cart provides a convenient and fun way to explore the community and its amenities.
Please reach out if you are interested in renting the golf cart. Prior to use, you will be required to submit the additional fees and sign a rental contract agreeing to the terms & conditions and rules of operation. (Golf cart rental only available May - October)
We also love our furry friends and they are welcomed at the Blue cabin with open arms however, there is a $100 additional pet fee. So if you are bringing a furry friend please add when making your booking so we are aware they too are joining in on the fun.
GETTING AROUND
We suggest that you arrive by car as it will allow you to explore the area better. The home has a private driveway on the property that can accommodate up to six vehicles.
The 3 lakes in the community are very close to the cabin, but we recommend driving vs walking. The golf cart is definitely the most fun option to get around!
