Unser Stadthaus bietet bequem Platz für 6 Personen und verfügt über zwei Schlafzimmer, ein Kingsize-, ein Queensize- und ein ausziehbares Queensize-Schlafsofa. Die Küche wurde gerade mit allen neuen Geräten ausgestattet und ist voll ausgestattet und bereit für den Gebrauch mit allen Annehmlichkeiten, die Sie für Ihren Aufenthalt benötigen, einschließlich Mikrowelle, Geschirrspüler, Eismaschine, Kaffeemaschine, Mixer, Handmixer und mehr. In der Waschküche gibt es eine Waschmaschine und einen Trockner in voller Größe. Gewölbedecken ergänzen das große Hauptschlafzimmer, das eine Terrasse mit Blick auf den Golf sowie einen begehbaren Kleiderschrank, Kabel-TV mit DVD-Player und ein eigenes Bad mit zwei Waschbecken sowie eine Dusche mit separater Gartenwanne bietet. Barrier Dunes ist eine familienfreundliche Gemeinde, die nicht nur privaten Zugang zum Strand bietet, sondern auch zwei wunderschöne Pools, gefüllte Fischteiche und beleuchtete Tennisplätze. Barrier Dunes befindet sich neben dem Eingang von St. Joseph's Bay State Park, eine Küstenhalbinsel, die zu einem der besten Strände der USA gewählt wurde. Perfect family getaway

The condo could not be more perfectly located— overlooking an adorable turtle pond, the beach just steps away, the state park just around the corner, and in between the two adorable towns of Port St. Joe and Apalachicola. Host was kind and responsive. Would love to visit again.

Great family vacation spot

Owner was very responsive, townhouse was very clean and steps from the boardwalk, location on the Cape was perfect. Less crowded/developed than other gulf coast areas but beautiful beaches and water. Sunsets were amazing from the beach. Close by trading post w/groceries, bait and tackle store, seafood market, ice cream, liquor, and a few restaurants gave us everything we needed with no extra developments that we didn’t want to be around. Very peaceful, kids could ride their bikes to the park, long bike trail, and ice cream stores, and plenty of space on the beach to find an open area to surf fish. It was exactly what we were looking for, will try to return again next year.

The condo was nice. We had perfect weather and enjoyed the condo.

I loved the kitchen- it had everything we needed and was a nice size. The dining room table was comfortable and we enjoyed sitting out on the deck. My only complaint was the couch was a bit worn and needs to be replaced.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It had all of the necessities plus a few extra things that were just nice to have. It is right across from a short path to the beach and the pool is just a little walk down the road. The beach and the water are very nice. We also enjoyed the little pond out back. The people were very friendly. We eould definitely rent this property again!

Maintenance past due

Thought we would enjoy one more night at the beach so we booked this condo last minute. My mistake. Couldn’t check in till 4 and it wasn’t ready then. Thought we would sit in balcony with our two year old grandson. He touched one of the rails and it wasn’t attached. He could have fallen off the second floor. Thankfully I always had a hand on him. Outdated and needs maintenance. Do not recommend.

Unhappy renters

This property needs extensive upgrades and repairs. The TV in the master bedroom did not work, the refrigerator leaked all over the floor every time the ice maker made ice, the furniture needs replacing and there needs to be more seating available.(one old couch and a hard back chair is all that is available in the living room), pots and pans need to be replaced, we were afraid to cook with them, the dishwasher has not been taken care of so we washed all utensils by hand, and the outside shower is just a pipe with a shower spout.

Best Condo at Barrier Dunes!

The condo was perfect! If you are traveling to the beach, and aren't interested in staying in the obnoxious "beach" themed condo, then this is the place for you! It was clearly one of the best condos at Barrier Dunes. And the owner was even nice enough to stop by and make sure we were all set and even offered up some great restaurant suggestions. It felt like home away from home. Very clean, modern and spacious layout of the condo with comfortable furniture for a small family. The living room couch was fantastically comfortable, and there was a nice assortment of seating form the bar, and hightop dining table to the comfy window seat. The condo was located right above the pond so you could see all the turtles from the back deck, and it was right across the driveway from the clubhouse/pool and beach access - very close. The only part we were a bit unsatisfied with was the outdoor patio furniture was a bit worn out - but I am sure that is a simple fix the owners would be willing to upgrade based on the other furniture throughout the condo. Overall it was a great experience and we would definitely recommend to friends or family, and will stay here again.

The location of the condo is great. Short walk to beach/pool. However, the property really needs some attention paid to it. Simple things like sweeping/blowing the parking area, washing/painting door and interior. Kitchen/bath need updating but are adequate. Just needs a bit of attention.

Great family trip!

Loved that the property was so close to the ocean! Great view of gulf from decks and nice view of the pond and fountain! We went back and forth from the beach to the pool with our kids multiple times a day- the proximity to the those two things was great- Kids wanted to go back for snacks and get a break from the sun then back to playing!!!

Great condo complex , pool and beach access nice . Our unit not so great , deck wood needs cleaning , Black mole on both decks. Master BR mini blinds over tub had black mold too . Living room furniture very uncomfortable. Bedrooms nice , good mattress , great large TV in living room . This place great needs a good cleaning and TLC.

This is a nice place but needs updating. The screen doors to the decks are about to fall off. The dishwasher was not working well. Everything else was ok but could use some up to date bedding and decor. I would stay there again.

So comfortable

This property is awesome! The location is great and the condo was very comfy. Balconies have great views and kitchen was adequate. Could have used a few mixing bowls and a nice skillet pan but otherwise absolutely perfect! Master bedroom suite was super comfy and bed was great. Second bed mattress could use an upgrade but overall definitely looking forward to staying here again. Plenty of towels and linens ! Great condo for a family!

Awesome location to beach and pool

We wanted to stay longer even after being there 12 nights. Very close to beach pool and beach. We had a few things that we did not like. I let the property owner know after first night. Main issues were couch and other furniture extremely uncomfortable and barely room for 4 to sit and watch tv comfortably. Both beds were uncomfortable. We like to cook. The kitchen was missing items. I actually bought some stuff and brought it home. Owner did not think any of this was an issue and he told me his unit was better than most at barrier dunes. It was not horrible, but the other 3 townhouses we have stayed there were more comfortable but not as close to beach. The other thing was the master shower was unusable due to a leak. He had someone lined up to go through ceiling in kitchen to repair. We really did not want to deal the mess or hassle & tentative covid 19 exposure. so we declined the repair. It was a pain in the butt to only have 1 shower though. We would stay there again due to location. I am not sure my husband would agree though. He was pretty unhappy about the beds.

We had the best week at this property with our little family of 4. Great location. Less than one minute walk to the beach and the pool. The property was comfortable and well stocked. The kids loved watching the turtles in the pond off the deck! We will definitely recommend this property to friends traveling to the area.

Great stay at a comfortable condo!

We are a family of four with two kids (3 and 8 who can still sleep in the same bed), this condo worked perfectly for us. It is such a short walk to the beach, I counted 130 adult steps to the sand. The kitchen was adequately equipped, although there is inevitably something that is needed which is not available (this trip it was a vegetable peeler), we were able to prepare and consume all of our meals. (We brought dish soap, and dishwasher pods and extra TP with us since while reading many reviews for Barrier Dunes we noted that those items were often in short supply. What we liked about this particular unit was that it overlooks the center pond, and the kids enjoyed watching the turtles swim about, and it is close to the fountain, which provides for a nice bit of background noise while sitting on the deck for dinner. There is a tiny peek-a-boo view of the water from the decks (as seen in the pictures) but if you really want to view the ocean, walk those 130 steps. For those unfamiliar with Cape San Blas, or Barrier Dunes in particular this is a great location and community. There are 2 pools, one of them is beachside, albethey somewhat small, they do provide an alternative to the ocean. This is very important, since there were “double red flags” for three days of this visit, which meant that, although it was a perfect beach day in that it was sunny and 90 degrees out, the water had currents which were too strong from the storms off shore, and the undercurrents and rip tides could sweep away an adult man quickly and ferociously. Upon our arrival to the beach there were volunteer firemen patrolling the beach with blow horns engaging with people and warning them that “knee deeps is too deep”, and that someone had died from drowning the week prior to our stay, and someone in Mexico Beach not far up the coast had died that week as well. With the warnings ringing in our ears, the pool was a great “Plan B”. Of course with dogs and campfires being permissible on the beach an amazing vibe is created!

almost perfect

The condo was great. The view was amazing. The layout was perfect. The furniture was in good condition. The patio furniture seemed new. Overall it was clean and a good experience. Only a couple of things that were not. There was no door on the master suite so there was no privacy really for me & my husband. There was only a partial roll of toilet paper (which is random). We had to go buy garbage bags and dish soap as well. They wanted dishes to be started in the dishwasher when we left but there was no soap so I had to handwash them. The door on the master suite is really my biggest complaint, everything else was minor irritants since it was vacation. I would still go back but would just be better prepared next time.

With minor improvements, the rating will improve.

We had to find dog friendly lodging for 2 1/2 months on 2 weeks notice. Our usual rental in TX still had Hurricane Harvy damage. On arrival we found a non working grill, non working TVs & a very loose upper floor balcony railing among other repairable issues. Unit should have had a more thorough cleaning. Contacted the owner. He was personable & with a handyman made repairs. Before renting again, the carpet should be cleaned, sliding glass doors should have working screens, and a new couch purchased, which the owner plans on doing. The complex has a neighborhood feel & adjoins a paved path for biking or walking. The easily walked to beach is dog friendly, clean, BEAUTIFUL & good for walking. Tradin' Post 4 mi away is well stocked. Pt St Joe 1/2 hr away. Panama City over an hr away is closest movie/mall. Apalachicola 30 mi away is a cool town. Overall, many things that required immediate attention inconvenienced us. For the rent charged we feel these problems should have been taken care of before occupancy. After the remaining issues are resolved we would have no reservations in recommending this property.

Guest bedroom balcony was dangerous (loose railing). No plastic cups in kitchen. Only half a roll of toilet paper in each bathroom. Lacking supplies in kitchen also. Wasn't very impressed.

Our family of 5 lives to travel and we all love the beach. We really enjoy all of the amenities that Barrier Dunes has to offer.

Cape San Blas is a wonderful vacation destination that is not touristy. There are miles of beautiful white beaches and none of the crowds and highrises that you find in Destin, Panama City Beach or Gulf Shores. It is a great place to get away and truly relax.

Our townhouse is one of the newest in Barrier Dunes and is just steps away from the gulf front pool and beach. It is newly remodeled and has all new appliances and furnishings. We have a 40 inch plasma TV as well as TV's and DVD players in both bedrooms.
