Spacious, bright and eclectic apartment in the middle of town

Really unique apartment overlooking downtown Butler Street. Fantastic views of the winter decorations and lights from large street-side windows (which still felt private, sheltered by large apple trees). High-ceilinged, spacious and comfortable main unit (open living room/dining room with gas fireplace; bedroom, bath, well-equipped kitchen) with a full second suite -- king sized bed, bathroom, full wet bar/kitchenette -- off the common foyer. Funky decor with interesting paintings and objets d'art throughout; generous and comfortable furnishings. Probably not the best place for families with small children (too many fragile tippy things; steep stairs).

Super location and phenomenal floor plan

This rental was on the main part of dowtown close to everything, within blocks of shopping and water. We had an issue when we first arrived as the heat/furnace wasn't working, I called the emergency number and they had someone to the residence within 30 minutes. I make my living in Real Estate and I was very impressed with the service and the professionalism of the management company. Issue was solved and heat worked great. Perfect place for 2 couples to stay as this is set up like 2-suites. One side was a bedroom with a full bathroom, plenty of closet space a sitting area with a TV and a Bar (really nice). The other was in the main area which had the living room, kitchen, a bedroom and another full bath. It was like we both had our own private areas but came together to eat and hang out. Clean, nicely decorated and updated. I would definately rent this place again.

Girls trip

The apartment was in the heart of it all, fun eclectic surroundings with tons of character. Communication with renter was great, and we hope to be back with husbands next time. We came during off season and know they are working on a few upgrades which will enhance the stay. Would have liked a tv in the front bedroom but overall would highly recommend!

Treehouse stay

Love the property. Great location, clean and well decorated. The wet bar was a nice surprise. Amazing artwork; like staying in a gallery. I know it’s late season, but only complaint would be outdoor deck is worn down and messy. Weather was nice and we would have enjoyed sitting out there

Wonderful location

We loved our treehouse visit! Perfect for two couples and you can't get any closer to the shops! Communixation, check in was perfect. We wiuld stay again! Note-Lots of steep steps for anyone with bad knees or hips!

Long Weekend

The property was in the center of town and we could walk to everything. Beautifully decorated but could have used more comfortable chairs and better lighting for reading. The back deck was still messy and uninviting as other reviews stated so we never went out there. Our friends had the front bedroom and had a hard time sleeping. Very noisy. New windows there would be a great improvement. We had a great stay overall and enjoyed our weekend.

This property is in the center of downtown Saugatuck which is awesome for walking to restaurants and shops. It is furnished with everything you need and the owner provides those welcoming touches. There probably is no control over the parking but it would be helpful if an assigned parking space came with this property. I can't imagine what it is like during the busy summer time. Also, the deck really needs some improving and updating

Great weekend getaway with friend.

Wow what a great spot to stay. Well appointed space. Super clean and comfortable. It was a close walk to many places we came to see. Hosts were super helpful and responsive. If you’re coming to this area. This is a great choice of accommodations. A true great value.

Saugatuck Golf Trip

This is the 2nd time our group has stayed at this property and you can't beat the location. The communication was perfect, I didn't have any questions as to how to access the space, or what the rental rules were, or what the apartment was equipped with. The space is wonderful and kept clean, with the exception of the back patio/deck. We were a little disappointed in the condition of the deck (some rotting boards and bags of dirt with weeds or plants growing out of them, kind of hard to maneuver and sit out there). There is also a window boarded up in the back bedroom which is a little unsettling and wasn't apparent when booking the property. We wondered if that window had been missing when we stayed 2 years prior, but can't be certain. We also couldn't use the TV without logging into our own streaming accounts, which is a little frustrating. We were hoping to watch the local news, and some football at the apartment, but ended up finding a local bar to watch. Overall it was a great space to stay in, but giving 4 stars for the condition of the deck and the boarded window.

Perfect location

Our apartment was at the perfect location in the middle of everything . Place was huge had plenty of room for another couple . Only complaint would be the little outdoor patio needs some work. There were planters of weeds and trash bags. Would definitely stay there again!

Front door lock very finicky. Suggest a locksmith. Smelled of cigarette smoke upon arrival. Blind in front bedroom was stuck in the up position. Not fixed until second night. Suggest housekeeping check unit for smoke and functionality of mechanicals after each stay. Distracted from an otherwise nice place.

Beautiful place

We had some trouble getting in due to lack of cell service seeing the instructions but the nice man from the realty office was very helpful. Sound machines were very appreciated but we had hoped the blinds situation had been fixed in the front bedroom. Also WiFi info on refrigerator was incorrect.

Beautiful apartment in a perfect location

We loved it. The flaw was that the front bedroom has a large window that overlooks the street. The window shade for that large window needs repair or replacement. It is stuck open. Because that bedroom faces the street, the person sleeping there needs earplugs due to bar crowd noise. We would be happy to stay in this beautiful apartment again but will be prepared with earplugs.

Unbeatable location, may need some redesign

The inside space was clean and had a great location! Be mindful this is a Main Street so Saturdays can be loud outside. They provided a noise machine and we didn’t have any issues, just be mindful if you have children/need silence. My only complaints was the general user experience of the place. It seems like a flipped property, like whoever renovated never actually lived there. The sink splashes back unless it’s at a near drip, and the deck was pretty messy/dirty but usable. Also the blinds in the front room only went up because of how they’re situated against the wall, so we had to call maintenance to bring them back down since it was the main front bedroom. We ended up just propping the blinds up with a chair during the day. And we never quite figured out the AC so it was very cold during our stay, which wasn’t terrible since it was pretty hot out. We never got the TV in the living room to work, so we always just watched it in the other bedroom. Overall we felt safe, location was incredible, it was fun to have an apartment in the center of saugatuck! A few tweaks to the apartment would improve the overall experience.

Great location, clean, but window and AC issues

You can’t beat the location! The decor/home itself was clean. The issues were the following: AC would not get cold- thankfully we had cooler nights when we were there, but I can’t image being there on a day 70 degrees or more. We use the fans provided at night because it was so hot. It would have been been better if we could open the windows, but one of the windows in the “primary bedroom” is gone and wooden board is there in its place. The other window wouldn’t open. The screen door on the back patio is completely ripped open. Asthmatics should think twice before renting. Mold/mildew issues blew up everyone’s allergies (plus the AC not kicking in didn’t help). Had spiders and ants in the bed. Not an issue of cleanliness, but an issue of poor structure/lack of proper sealing in the space. We did not reach out to management during our stay as we were basically only there to sleep and didn’t want to deal with it. Linens/towels/bathroom and kitchen products provided were great- plenty and exactly what was needed. The space itself is perfect for two couples- completely separate bed and bath areas.

Tree house with best friends

Such a great apartment! Beautifully appointed and decorated! Comfort for all of us! Only downside was NO AC…. therefore windows opened…. We were ALL EXCEPTIONALLY H crazy OT! 85 degrees inside this upstairs unit!! And the bar across the street was VERY LOUD making it difficult to sleep especially with windows all …. Opened!!

Perfect for a spring getaway

My Mom and I stayed here for a weekend and it was perfect! We loved the interior design and gorgeous artwork. The place is divided into two suite-like spaces, each with a bedroom, full bathroom, and room to lounge, providing privacy if desired. There is also ample space to hang out together. This is a small detail, but the lighting is also perfect. Lots of natural light in the day and enough lamps and overhead lights to create a cozy space in the evening. The location is in the heart of everything, making it easy to walk to shopping and dining. There was some noise when sleeping. The back bedroom had an intermittent buzzing that was a bit disruptive. The front bedroom is on the main street so there is some noise, and the bar across the street had live music on Saturday. I liked being in the heart of things and found it easy to sleep with the provided white noise machine. Overall, it was wonderful and we definitely did not want to leave!!
