Welcome to The Friday Escape!
Enjoy open acres including ponds and a nature path through the woods, sprawling with wildlife and some of the elk herds’ favorite grazing fields. A perfect retreat in the heart of Benezette.
You will find local attractions within a few miles. Spend the day exploring or relaxing by the fire pit. The house comes with all of the amenities for cooking, but if a sunset glass of wine or a heated game of shuffleboard sounds good, this is the place for you!
Addition of a spacious patio added in January 2024 with access from sliding doors in the living room. Recent addition of 6 person hot tub. Summer additions to patio will include a 20 x 25 ft area under roof, grilling and dining area, cornhole and lounging furniture.

Perfect winter getaway

Cabin was absolutely perfect for 6 of us. The outdoor area was amazing even in the winter. Definitely enjoyed the hot tub and even got to see some elk. The cabin was spotless and had all the amenities. The host was very attentive and answered all our questions. Would definitely book again.

Friends enjoying a winter break in Benezette

We are 3 couples who are lifelong friends enjoying a a short winter vacation in beautiful Elk Country. The house was comfortable and met all our needs. The slow 6" snowfall added to the beauty of the area, and seeing 2 bulls in our front yard was the icing on the cake. Wouldn't change a thing, highly recommend this property.

Amazing stay in a serene location

My family of 5 stayed for a weekend at the cabin. We appreciated the complementary wine. Each bedroom had a place to store clothes and had very comfortable beds. The kitchen had all of the tools we needed to cook several of our meals (we can't eat out much due to a food allergy). The living room was welcoming and we enjoyed the Christmas' decorations. The back patio is amazing! If it wasn't for the sleet and freezing conditions, we would have spent a lot of time in the outside sitting area. One night, our host came over to make sure the walkway had salt down for the ice. We were able to enjoy the hot tub and gaze at the stars. A huge bonus was the hiking trail across the woods. It was a great way for us to safely burn off some energy. When we come back to view the Elk, this will be the first place we look to rent.

Felt like home

The house was as described, clean and in a fantastic location. Communication was great with owners and attention to detail in home was spot on. Can’t say enough about the outdoor space, it was beautiful and peaceful. But by far the best part of our stay was the Tempur pedic mattress in the master suite. Bought one as soon as we came home. No back and shoulder pain for 3 days! Loved our stay only complaint was it was too short, will be back again.

Amazingly perfect!!

Everything was perfect. The location, the house, the outside patio and hot tub… the stars! The wine! Owners were exceptional and attended to every detail. It was the best VRBO I have ever visited. I can’t say enough positive things about our stay. The location is central to everything. We saw elk on the property and in locations nearby. The 60 acre property has amazing hiking. Great weekend getaway with the family!

Excellent location, great hosts and an exceptionally clean property. We've stayed here before and feel so at home. It's so relaxing. The back patio is the perfect place to hang out and we had elk right in the yard & across the road in the large field. We already planned additional stays!

Absolutely Spectacular. The home is as nice as it gets. Sitting on up on the hill overlooking 62 beautiful acres of open meadows and lush forest where wild turkeys deer and elk visit regularly.

The property was a perfect setting, but the host got everything right to the smallest detail. AMAZING stay with elk in the backyard.

We had an AMAZING stay, and wished we could have stayed longer! The house was very clean, the back patio and hot tub were awesome and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook. Stars, Elk, Bluebirds & Great Owners!

This house was perfect for us! The house was in impeccable condition. The property is lovely. We had elk and Eastern Bluebirds visit us almost every day! In fact, I woke up one morning and there were 3 elk just a couple yards away from the bedroom window! We truly appreciated there were only 3 steps to get in the house. Unfortunately for us, the weather wasn't great for most of the week and we didn't take advantage of the hot tub and fire pit.... Jeffrey and Brooke were perfect hosts and extremely helpful and responsive. I would most certainly be happy to visit again!
