Es ist innen und außen mit fröhlichen Farben bemalt und trägt zum Inselgeschmack bei. Der umlaufende Balkon zusammen mit den Lebkuchen-Zutaten schreien. 'Willkommen in der Karibik! '

Was für ein Ort! Etwa 200 Meter vom Eingang zum St. Lawrence Gap .... Party Central Area in Barbados, wo sich auch eine Vielzahl von Restaurants und kleinen Läden befinden. Fünf Minuten zu Fuß zum Sandstrand (einer der besten Strände im Süden).

'Booby Duck * Cottage' ist eine Wohnung im Obergeschoss, und als solche würden wir nicht empfehlen, dass Leute mit Knie- oder Hüftproblemen hier bleiben.

In the heart of the island!

My husband and I chose Booby Duck for our second trip to the island and it was absolutely perfect. The pictures are accurate - a quaint and well maintained cottage. The roosters gave us grief the first night but once the air conditioning was on we slept like babies :) Make sure to stock up on Maria's rum punch -it's worth it!! This was a wonderful getaway for us and we would highly recommend it! The cell phone was a great perk and we always felt safe in the cottage.

A perfect little cottage in the heart of the action!

Thanks so much to Trevor and Maria who maintain this impeccable vacation rental! Our stay in Barbados was lovely, filled with fun and relaxation. As an ideal ambassador to Barbados, Trevor consistently went above and beyond simply being a gracious host. We truly felt as though we were his personal guests and it certainly made our stay that much more enjoyable. The island is a spectacular place to visit and St. Lawrence Gap is a great place to enjoy a wide variety of cuisine and non-stop nightlife. The Booby Duck is right on a bus route, so getting around town is easy and convenient. Overall, we were thrilled with our Barbados experience and are truly grateful to Trevor and Maria for their hospitality and kindness!

A slice of heaven on earth

My husband and I just returned from our 2 week stay at Booby Duck. We enjoyed our very cozy "home away from home" immensely. Trevor epitomizes the Bajan hospitality the island exudes. We loved sitting on the deck having breakfast with a breadfruit tree and monkeys as a backdrop. We were able to walk to the beaches, grocery store, rum shops, and restaurants easily. We took public transport to neighboring towns when walking was too far. We always felt safe. Trevor greeted us at the airport, gave us a tour, provided a cell phone, sent tips via email of island happenings, and checked in with us to be sure we were enjoying life. Trevor thank you for a most relaxing and fun vacation. We hated to leave and hope to return.

Quaint place, perfect location, best host!

This was the perfect little spot, just removed enough to remain quiet, but close enough that you can walk to the excitement. Our host Trevor was very helpful, checking in on us and available to answer questions at any time! He provided a local cell phone in case we got lost or needed to call him for anything. He even ended up mailing a postcard for me and dropping us to the airport! He even answered my international texts prior to our arrival! Such a good soul. The suite upstairs had all the amenities for us as a couple who wished to explore and take in the tastes and sights around us - able to bring groceries home to cook or take-out food to warm up! The wrap around deck was perfect for the day it rained as we were able to sit outside playing cards and drinking local beer to stay cool. If we ever come back to The Gap in Barbados, we will be sure to stay here again.

Great Apartment!

We stayed in this beautiful apartment for 8 days during a trip to Barbados. The owners were incredibly helpful, picked us up from the airport and were always available for any questions on a cell phone that they provided for the apartment. The apartment has wireless internet, beach towels, a fully equipped kitchen, great views, and is a quick walk from numerous great beaches. It's also a stone's throw from St. Lawrence Gap, which has tons of bars and restaurants. The apartment was spotless when we got there and the owners have a cleaning service that will come if you need it during the stay. The apartment has tons of windows that allow a nice breeze but there is also AC if need be. Be sure to eat from the street vendors on St. Lawrence Gap and see the Oistins fish fry on Friday night. We strongly recommend this apartment, it was very reasonably priced compared to hotels in the area (which were upwards of $200 to $300 US). Ideal for a longer stay if you want to do some cooking and not break the bank on restaurants. Great for 2 people, would be harder to do much more than that. Parking available if you have a car. Would highly recommend!!

Trevor and the location are awesome!

My wife and I were visiting for her birthday/our anniversary. We truly enjoyed our stay here. Trevor is a great host and person. He knew we were traveling for a special occasion and set up a nice selection of drinks for us in the fridge! He was very friendly during check-in and more than willing to recommend things to do around the island. As for the property, it is in a great location. It is extremely close to the GAP where there are good restaurants and taxis if you want to head somewhere else. There are also a few beaches within walking distance as well. The place is small and cozy with an awesome balcony that we would sit on when it rained for a nice relaxing experience. Great place with an even greater host! Thanks for everything Trevor

A cute little place.

We had a great stay at Booby Duck Cottage, & it's ideally placed in terms of location for getting out & about. The Gap is very close by, so walking out is easy, & buses & the number 11 & 3D vans are frequently passing. It's an easy walk to the beaches, bars etc including Worthing beach which is our favourite, & Massey & Trimart for shopping. The cottage is located on the main road, so traffic noise was a little loud at times from early morning and a couple of local bars could be heard very late into the night and early morning. Earplugs are needed if you're a light sleeper, but rum also helps! We saw monkeys in the breadfruit tree at the back of the property, & humming birds too. The cottage is well equipped with everything you need & Trevor is a lovely man & a great host. He is very helpful, accessible & good fun. There's a landline phone and a mobile to use for local calls such as making restaurant reservations, & Trevor is always available to assist with any queries. Thanks Trevor for recommending Lisa's Rotis & doubles (outside of the King's Tavern, Worthing), which were the best we'd ever had, & for a great stay, & our lifts. Really appreciated it. Hopefully see you next time we're back!

Excellent owner/manager.

Trevor was a pleasure to deal with right from the initial contact and throughout our stay. His response to our inquiries and the fact that he took the time to send us a list of things going on in Barbados while we were there was greatly appreciated. Description of the apartment was accurate and it is very well equipped. Even a local cell phone was provided for local calls if we needed it. Three sided deck on this top floor unit was a great place to enjoy our morning coffee or an evening cocktail. One of the good things about the apartment could also be one of the few drawbacks. It is central to so many thing that we could walk to including Dover Beach, Carib or Sandy Beach and the many restaurants and shops in the St. Lawrence Gap that a car is not needed. However it is located on the main road, so traffic noise was a little loud at times and a couple of nightclubs in the "Gap" could be heard very late into the night and early morning. Earplugs came in very handy a couple of nights but if you are interested in some late night dancing and partying, then the location is great! Simply. Amazing.

We can't say enough great things about the Booby Duck Cottage and Trevor (owner)! The clean-picture-perfect cottage is located in a superb location - right in the middle of The Gap. You'll find shops, restaurants, bars, and beaches right outside the front door. Feel more adventurous? For 2 Barbados dollars hop on the cheapest public transportation in the world - the bus stop is also located right outside the front door. You simply can't make it any easier. On top of all that, Trevor is so welcoming! He picked us up from the airport (drop-off too) and gave us a drive around The Gap which helped us find our bearings after arrival. He also shared a local cellphone which we could use to contact him at anytime - although we primarily used it to make reservations to the great restaurants around us. If you have a chance to visit Barbados, you can not go wrong with the adorable Booby Duck Cottage. Thanks for everything Trevor - we hope to see you again soon! Alex & Zoë

Best Vacation Ever

This was my second time visiting the island, and I traveled with my boyfriend (his first time to Barbados). The Booby Duck was absolutely stunning and fit our vacation needs perfectly! The pictures simply don't do it justice. It is so cozy, and has so many fantastic features. The wrap around balcony is to die for, especially with the bar setup from the kitchen window (our favourite spot), the kitchen is well equipped, we did a lot of cooking! Trevor was more than accommodating while we were there, and made us feel right at home; he is a fantastic host and kept in touch during our week long stay. If you have young legs, everything you need is in walking distance (groceries, bars, restaurants, beaches) and if you want to venture a little further or get places quicker, the bus stop is just outside! I cannot say enough good things about Booby Duck, it is truly a gem of the island. The location is perfect, close to everything but still private and quiet when you'd want it to be, super safe, with friendly neighbours all around - we will most certainly be back next chance we get, only this time we will stay longer! Perfect location

This was my second time in Barbados. Traveled with my 9 year old son. We stayed in Booby Duck for 10 nights. Trevor was very responsive every time I had an inquiry prior to arrival and on a couple occasions when I called him during our stay. The location was perfect as we planned to travel the island via bus. As you step to the end of the driveway there was always a bus passing by or just a few steps to the bus stops on either side of the road. We felt safe day and night. The apartment had everything we needed. The rental phone came in very handy and so did the landline. Airport pickup and drop off was such a great help. I will definitely be back to the island of Barbados. It’s just an absolutely magical island with very helpful residents. Trevor thanks again for making my 2nd time in Barbados worry free.

Simply amazing

Booby Duck cottage was our first rental vacation we have ever made, and Trevor could not have made it any easier and more enjoyable for us. Very useful information provided with local contacts for taxis etc, and also a phone to use. Beautifully furnished and so close to the st Lawrence gap, it was simply the best holiday we could have asked for. Our host was amazingly helpful especially when we needed to find medicine for a bad cold one of us had got. It's an ideal location to see Barbados without feeling too much like a tourist. Everyone, literally everyone, is friendly and polite, you feel safe and welcome everywhere. The transport links from Booby Duck are great, as long as you're not shy getting onboard on the ZR buses! We miss Barbados a lot already and would happily recommend this to friends and family. In fact I insist you come and come to Booby Duck. We are looking forward to renting again when we next come. Our First international Vacation!!!

This was my boyfriend & I first vacation together and we couldn't have chosen a better place or a better owner to rent from. Trevor was very patient with me throughout the whole process from the first time I booked the rental to end very end. Trevor met us at the airport, gave us a quick tour through the St. Lawrence Gap area along with a few recommendations, and provided us with a cellphone to make local calls. Unfortunately, were not able to meet his wife as they were on vacation themselves on another part of the island but we were greeted with Maria's Rum Punch....AWESOME!!!! The Booby Duck looks exactly like the pictures posted....cute & quaint. There is a public bus stop a few steps away. The unit was equipped with everything to meet your needs: pots/pans, utensils, tabletop gas grill, clean towels/washcloths, beach towels & beach bag in the wardrobe, basic seasonings, mop/broom/buck, stove, microwave, refrigerator, etc. The wrap around balcony is awesome. Stayed in March 2014

Best rental stay we have made. Trevor was gracious enough to pick us up on Saturday night and give us a quick tour so we could get our bearings. Maria`s rum punch was poured as soon as our bags were dropped and then we went straight to the gap , a short 2-3 minute walk. Excellent location close to the bars and restaurants of the Gap with easy Bus route access for getting around the island. The use of a local cell phone and landline while on the island was an excellent bonus.Wireless also good for internet to check out and make reservations for excursions restaurants etc etc. Trevor was there on Sunday to see us off. Although on the main road and close to the Gap we slept with no problems.Probably the rum punch along with the hum of the AC and fans kept us in dream land. Would reccommend this apartment to anyone for location and Trevor and Maria`s great hospitality. I hope the Brazil airline keeps the service running so we can return again soon.

Perfect Holiday, Perfect Accomodation!

We had a wonderful holiday with wonderful accommodation! The Booby Duck has everything you need for a great vacation. It is located in a great area, whether you are walking or want to take a bus. (There is even parking if you rent a car.) The choice of cooking in the apartment or having so many great places to eat within a very short walking distance was fantastic. The comfort of opening up the windows and doors and feeling the Caribbean breezes meant so much. Sitting out on the nice balcony, watching sunrises and sunsets was beautiful. It was fun seeing the odd blue heron and other birds fly by. The roosters were entertaining, making us laugh at their chatter. Making us look forward to our dream of having our own roosters and chickens one day. Thank you Maria and Trevor, your hospitality was very much appreciated. Thank you for the yummy rum punch! A Great Month In Barbados

Wow, can't describe it any other way than a spectacular month on the Island. The Booby Duck was just as advertised and lived up to every excellent review preceding this one. A touch of class was finding a bottle of Maria’s wonderful rum punch in the fridge at time of arrival and after a long flight, it turned out to be just what the doctor ordered. After that, the Rum Punch Fairy showed up numerous times to replenish our ever depleting stock and there is no question, it’s the best on the Island. The location of the Booby Duck is great, a short stroll to the Gap, and a nice morning walk to Accra and the Boardwalk (we like long walks). The Island just continually serves up one great day after another. Believe me, you will never rent a vacation property belonging to nicer and more helpful people than Trevor and Maria… Thanks a bunch T/M, hope to see you again!

Caribbean perfection

We had such a lovely stay and Trevor, our host, could not have been more helpful. He was responsive to all out thousand questions and provided a cell phone for our use on the island. He cheerfully offerred to drive us around the island, but we were so relaxed and content just to lie on the beach, that we declined. Another reason to come back in the future! His wife provided us with the most delicious Rum punch, and although we do not usually drink, we ordered another bottle before we left. Booby Duck cottage was absolutely perfect. Our home away from home. It was clean and stocked with everything we could need, including beach towels and a clothes line for drying wet swim wear! It was right on the bus route and we were able to travel all over the island for $1 per person. We loved the porch where we enjoyed lovely sunlit breakfasts, and listened to the neighborhood cocks crowing (not audible inside the cottage). The Booby Duck is the best place to stay at St. Lawrence Gap!

My husband and I stayed 16 days at the Booby Duck and it became our home away from home. The location is perfect for getting around southern Barbados. Walking distance to beaches, restaraunts, bars, markets, and banks. A 7 min. cab ride to Oistins for some of the best food on the island. The sunsets are beautiful, the people are wonderful, and Maria's Rum Punch is the best rum punch we had our whole stay. The booby duck is such a cute little cottage, with lots of character.

Best Vacation Yet

I can't say enough about our stay in Barbados, it was absolutely amazing. Having a couple of the top beaches in the world just a few blocks away is heaven -- white sand and turquoise water in every direction. What really made our stay beyond everything we hoped for was our experience with Trevor and staying at Booby Duck. The accommodations at this condo are top-notch, everything you could ever need plus more, not to mention how well designed and decorated it was - much nicer than ANY hotel we've been to for vacation before. Just this alone would be more than enough for us to recommend to any one of our family or friends, however it gets better, the owner Trevor took as good care of us as he would his own family. He picked us up from the airport, showed us around the area to help us acclimate with our surroundings, gave us suggestions on where/what to do, had a cell phone for us to use, free Internet at the condo, Rum Punch waiting in the fridge, on and on. You name it, he had it for us. I really can't explain in words how great this place is and dealing with Trevor was, it's so far beyond anything we expected. Needless to say, it's all we've been talking about since getting home. There is a zero percent chance that when we go back we wouldn't be staying there again. The only thing I worry about is too many people are going to find out about this amazing setup and it will be booked so far out that there won't be an opening for us! I'm also confident in saying that if someone were to be on the fence about what island to visit, knowing about this place alone would be worth booking Barbados for. It really is a no-brainer.

Two great weeks

We spent two fabulous weeks at Booby Duck in January. It is a lovely little apartment in the heart of the action at St. Lawrence Gap. This is not a quiet walled off resort, you are in the middle of everything. We loved sitting on the balcony, (with a glass of Maria’s rum punch), watching and listening to the sights and sounds of Barbados; music, traffic, the melodic horns of the taxis and the roosters! With the windows and doors closed and air conditioner on, it is very quiet. You do not need to rent a car, but we did and travelled all over this beautiful island, north to south and east to west. The spectacular vistas on the north and east coasts are not to be missed. This is a great value for the money. Thank you Trevor, Maria and Ryan (and Chance) for your hospitality.

Perfect!

We highly recommend the Booby Duck. It was perfect for two and had everything we needed for our week there. It was very close (just a short walk) to the restaurants and bars in the Gap and good beaches. Trevor and Maria were so welcoming and helpful, and even provided a cell phone in case we needed to ask them questions or call for a taxi. Fantastic location, fantastic owners! Thanks for going above and beyond, Trevor and Maria! We hope to see you again in a couple of years.

Great Place!

This place was great! Trevor was super friendly, and always just a phone call away. When we first got there he gave us a tour of the place and showed us how everything worked. It was the perfect little home away from home. We always felt comfortable there and acted as a great home base. Nice and quiet with all the soundproofing that has been done. The kitchen was great for making our own meals which we enjoyed at the bar window off the kitchen! The living room was a nice place to sit and read when it ever rained and the bed was very comfortable. Having air-conditioning was a plus as well. Trevor also provided us with a cell phone which was nice to have with us. He was always just a phone call away. Overall, great location near great bars, restaurants and beaches! I would recommend this to anyone going to Barbados!

Awesome place, perfect location!

The Booby Duck is Barbados' best kept secret!! Amazing bang for your buck! Everything about this place was wonderful! The location, atmosphere, owners, and cleanliness! Trevor (the owner) was very friendly and accommodating. He left us with a cell phone to use while we were there for taxis, food..etc. He also told us to call or text if we had any questions about the island and he was quick to respond with valuable information! He did not steer us wrong about anything! We wish we could've stayed here longer, but it was only available for 3 nights during our vacation. We later transferred to different places, but none compared to Booby Duck! We highly recommend this quaint cottage to anyone!

Well, a Bus stops almost right at your door...takes you to our capital, Bridgetown, also Oistins Fishing Town is 8 mins. bus ride in the opposite direction. Everything that is anything (Banks, Supermarkets etc.)...a walk away!!
