The most relaxing place I’ve been. And the owners are the best.

We had a late start to our weekend getaway and instead of leaving on Friday afternoon we headed out on Saturday morning. Once we arrived, Wes asked us if we’d like to stay Sunday night since we didn’t use our Friday night booking. We gladly took him up on that. Then he invited Michelle and I to Easter dinner with his family. Such an awesome thing to suggest. Rose had quite the dinner prepared, Wes had dessert handled, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The treehouse has become a twice a year getaway spot. Thanks Wes and Rose for your hospitality. We’ll be back soon.

Such a Cool Place!

This treehouse was a perfect little getaway for us! It was very serene and peaceful, yet exciting and fun for the kids! The house had everything we needed and the owners were easily accessible should the need occur. We loved the fishing and the boat was complimentary. It was obvious that a lot of time and attention went into ensuring that guests enjoy their stay. We will definitely be back!

My favorite fishing spot.

Brought my 12 yr old grandson to the treehouse. He loved the loft bedroom. We fished non stop and caught fish both days. Great time and great memories made.

Most relaxing place I’ve ever stayed.

We had an amazing time. Weather was perfect and we thoroughly enjoyed our time at the treehouse cabin. Caught fish the whole time. Such an amazing place to relax. Wes and Rose are fantastic hosts and so friendly. We even met Jasper the lap cat this time.

Secret Paradise

We stayed here with our family during Hurricane Helene. It rained but didn't stop us enjoying all the amenities, and boy are there alot of them. Fishing ( we fished all day in the rain and caught a ton of fish), beautiful covered bridge, docks, John boats, canoes, and a zipline that takes you over the lake, and the cutest treehouse! The hosts were so friendly and helpful, they even showed our son how to catch his first Crappie. I would recommend this secret getaway to anyone! Our daughter was not as excited when we were heading this way, but once she got here she didn't want to leave, andis already planning another trip back!!!

Love this place!!

The location and treehouse couldn’t be more perfect. We spent our day fishing in the boat and along the dock. In the evenings, the sunset over the water were nothing short of magical. It was the perfect place to unwind and reconnect with nature.

Great Getaway

I loved the quiet peaceful setting on the lake. My wife and I enjoyed the cute tree house. The ladder to the loft could be moved to give more living room below. Great place to stay and would highly recommend it.

Outdoors picturesque, but indoors highly overrated

Property was much as represented on website, however, cleanliness left much to be desired. Dust was excessive, toilet required us to do additional cleaning ourselves prior to use, and dead bugs were present in both bathroom and kitchen sinks. The excessive presence of fruit flies in the cabin, however, was the factor that made the surroundings unlivable (they flew in our mouths even at one point).!We were forced to leave after only 3 hours and seek alternative lodging. Afterwards we reached out to the owner with our concerns in an effort to allow him the opportunity to make the situation right through either a full or partial refund, but he never responded to our email (his phone number was not provided) with the owner was restricted to email so without a phone number we could not contact him to address our concerns in a timely manner to avoid leaving and making other arrangements.

Our treehouse experience

We booked the treehouse for our 40th anniversary to just lay back and relax. From drinking coffee on the deck in the morning to exploring the surrounding area. Watching the turtles, fish jumping and the birds was entertaining and relaxing. We are both in our 80's and had no trouble with access to the house. We loved the experience.

This was the perfect place to stay and enjoy the countryside in Kentucky. We were visiting for a family members 90th birthday and it was great to have a peaceful retreat to go back to. The lake was beautiful and the frogs and fireflies made it magical! We loved our little stay.

Another great stay at this interesting little private getaway

This treehouse is a very cozy little full-service rental. It is great for couples looking for a quiet getaway and would be a great back-to-nature glamping site for a family with small kids. It sleeps 4, but honestly 2 couples would possibly be a little too cozy for our tastes. Lots of DVDs favoring kids movies like The Incredibles, and since wi-fi is nonexistent, we brought our own DVDs for this trip. Keurig coffee with a wide selection of coffees and even hot chocolate. the guest register is filled with glowing records of their stay and interactions with wildlife. We heard frogs, cicada, foxes, owls, distant farm dogs, and FROGs. Did I mention the frogs? The highlight of the experience is the variety and scope of the frogs...I kid you not, I played Blueskys by the Allman Brothers on a portable bluetooth speaker, and the Frogs played rhythm! Iwe are definitely coming back, and are now actively looking for music fests and regional events to serve as our excuse. But the reality of this place is that it is it's own destination. ..No excuse needed. we brought off but didnt need it.

A little slice of heaven…even with 2 tornados passing thru!

We visited the area for a music concert at the Beaver Dam Amphitheater and found this location to be an ideal place to settle back after the concert. The owner of this 30 acre farm lives nearby but not too near by. We texted at times ( like when the TV weathermen were explaining maybe to seek shelter, which the owner graciously offered. The treehouse is well constructed and besides a little creaking and a gentle bump, even when the power went out we were happy as clams. This property is RIGHT on the shore of a large pond and so yes, there are bugs ( Cicadas too!) and plenty of frogs to serenade you to sleep. Parking is 5 feet from the steps to the front door. We already reserved it again for another concert in Henderson KY so I guess that says it all.
