Take a 30-minute drive to Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore and climb the dunes, follow the winery trails and art gallery trails, and visit small towns in Leelanau and Benzie counties. Hiking, swimming, skiing, biking, golfing, charter fishing, kayaking, and canoeing are some popular outdoor activities in the area, with its many lakes, beaches, and trails.
You can even find a secluded spot on one of many Lake Michigan beaches! Besides the great outdoors, the area is also well known for its dining, wineries, breweries, local art galleries, and numerous festivals.
