Welcome to our tranquil lake house on the shores of Woods Creek Lake! This delightful cabin is your perfect retreat. The kitchen comes fully equipped with all the essentials to make you feel at home, including a coffee maker, toaster, mixer, air fryer, and gas grill.
The house comfortably sleeps five guests, with a king-size bed in the upstairs bedroom that includes a bathroom and workstation, and a full-size bed in the main floor bedroom with a walk-in closet and ensuite. The fully finished basement features a twin futon, an entertainment area, and a laundry room. You'll adore the screened-in porch where you can unwind, swing, and take in the views of the lake.
There's plenty of room for relaxation. Those who love the water will enjoy the private boat dock, just a short stroll away. Embrace the serene waters of the lake for kayaking whenever you wish. Book your stay today!
PLEASE NOTE: The property spans multiple levels, with stairs leading to the basement, the upper bedroom, and down to the lake and boat dock. Laurel County, Kentucky. Created by impounding Wood Creek in 1969, the lake is in the middle of Daniel Boone National Forest. Wood Creek Lake Dam is a rock-fill dam, 163 feet high and 800 feet long at its crest, with a maximum capacity of 29,101 acre-feet.

Really fun and cute but

Lots of fun things in this cabin, its cute and in a good location but the upstairs had a bit of a ladybug infestation and the tub had a giant spider fly out of one of the jets so that was a fun surprise. Other than that it was a fun stay and we enjoyed it.

Beautiful

My husband and I stayed for a romantic weekend getaway. It was very clean, has everything you need. Very comfortable, felt right at home. We loved sitting out on the deck overlooking the lake.The view was absolutely stunning. Very quiet and peaceful. Perfect for couples or a family. We did not have to leave to get anything, Doordash delivered. Highly recommend. We will stay again.

Best Little Lake House in Kentucky

This is a wonderful little corner of the world where my wife and I go to leave the world behind for the weekend. We go and hike Van Hook Falls (30 minutes away). We love it. The host was so accommodating when we had to reschedule due to a hurricane shutdown. We can’t wait to go back.

Great Cabin by the Lake

It was a wonderful get away for us. Just a short 30 minute drive gets you to the Van Hook Falls Trailhead. Make sure to use the spot at the top of the driveway if you have a car. The driveway is very steep ( best for 4 wheel drive vehicles, as noted on the listing). We look forward to going back.

Kentucky Lake House mini vacation

Just what we needed…wish we would have had time to stay an extra day. The lake house was delightful. Adorably decorated inside and out and well appointed. Just very cozy and comfortable. The lake was just beautiful. Peaceful, quiet and relaxing. While the amount of stairs you have to climb to get down to the lake and then back up to the house would not be for everyone, we our regular exercises and didn’t mind it.

Our fall get away

The house and view is amazing. Total relaxation on the deck was great. My wife spent most of a day just sitting on pier looking at views. We understand your in the mountains so phone me be in and out. The internet didn’t work well so that may of been some of difficulty in communication. The one disappointment was that there is 2 kayaks to use but only 1 adult life jacket and 1 oar. Note to self: no one sells kayak oars within 50 miles 😁😁

Beautiful property!

This house is cozy and cute! It was a perfect place to take our family for a week long getaway. We enjoyed coffee on the porch every morning with spectacular lake views. Although we had bad luck with fishing, we did see a fisherman pull a massive bass out of it, and we enjoyed swimming, kayaking, and paddle boating. There is a large town within 15 minutes for everything needed. Plenty of hiking nearby as well as a couple amazing waterfalls! We had minor issues that were addressed by the host immediately and with such care! We very much appreciate their hospitality throughout our stay. We would definitely stay again in the future! Thank you for having our family.

Perfect for us

We absolutely loved this place. Really conveniently located, clean, and provided everything we needed. My son loved the down stairs and my daughter got the room with the bathroom. The back porch was perfect for me. The boys got to fish and us girls got to sit out back by the lake and read. One of the best weekends we’ve had. It was peaceful, relaxing and entertaining all at the same time.

A wonderful spot

My sister and I met halfway between our homes for a much needed sister get away. The house seemed friendly and inviting. The view was spectacular. The furnishings were really nice too, as all the accoutrements. I've already suggested to my husband that we stay soon and also suggested to my son and wife go to go for their own getaway. I'd recommend it to everyone.

We loved this cabin!

We absolutely loved this cabin!! It's cute, quiet, and right on the lake. The drive way is steep, but it's doable. If you forgot something at home, they had spares readily available. I would change two things about this place. 1. I would move the master bedroom to the bottom floor. This would allow the room to stay cool and have your own private pourch. 2. I would put a full sized futton in place of the "twin" one down stairs. It definitely wasn't a twin size, but it fit my 10 year old perfect. We would definitely stay here again!
