Das wunderschön restaurierte und professionell eingerichtete Residenz ist innerhalb der Stadtmauer, dem historischen Zentrum von Montepulciano, einer wichtigen Hügel der Stadt in der südlichen Toskana.

Das Hotel liegt auf einer kleinen Gasse direkt an der Haupteinkaufsstraße der Stadt, "Corso", es bietet leichten Zugang zum kulturellen Leben der Stadt (siehe unsere Website für Details http:.. // Www3 sympatico ca / amcquillan / index . htm), ist Restaurants, Cafés, Geschäfte und die Weinstuben, Weinprobe und Weinkeller, wo Sie die berühmten Weine von Montepulciano probieren, aber die Wohnung so sehr, dass ein Wecker benötigt werden, wenn Sie nicht schlafen wollen, weg am Morgen.

Am Fuße der Fahrspur ist ein kleiner Platz mit Blick auf die mittelalterliche Mauer der Stadt mit einem atemberaubenden Panoramablick auf weinbewachsene Hänge, Gruppen von Bauernhäusern und dem See von Chiusi in naher Entfernung, See Trasimino und der Stadt Cortona in der Mittelstrecken und die spektakulären Apennin-Gebirge.

Das genaue Alter des ursprünglichen Hauses ist nicht bekannt, aber der Keller enthält nur verbleibenden Keramikofen der Stadt und sicherlich älter als die zusätzlich aus dem 17. Jahrhundert, das heute ein separater Aufenthalts für die Eigentümer.

Obwohl komplett renoviert, die Residenz behält seinen ursprünglichen Charakter - Hand behauenen Balken aus Kastanienholz, handgemachte Terrakottaböden, Travertin-Marmor Türrahmen in dicken Steinmauern mit getäfelten Holz Türen und handgeschmiedeten Eisen Hardware. Auch das Kupfer und Schmiedeeisen Leuchten wurden von einem einheimischen Handwerker gefertigt. Die Badezimmer und die Küche sind durch und durch moderne und ausgestattet, um die Erwartungen der Unterscheidungs Besucher gerecht zu werden. Es gibt auch eine Zentralheizung und einen Kamin für den Komfort und das Vergnügen des Wintergäste.

Excellent location!

Perfect location to explore the surrounding area and the town—close to shopping and restaurants. Royce was a very helpful and gracious host. One alert: the apt rooms are on separate levels so be prepared for a few to several stairs between levels.

Idyllic town with terrific location, space and owner

Montepulciano is a welcoming and classic town in the heart of Tuscany and this location and it’s owner Royce are just as friendly as the town. A walled city on a hill, be prepared to do some steps and the incredible panoramas will not disappoint. Lots of space, two bathrooms make group touring very comfortable.

In the heart of the historic area

The historic home has been appropriately restored with modern conveniences but maintains loads of character. Its location is excellent, splitting the upper and lower parts of the historic center, and just down the walkway are some of the most breathtaking views of Tuscany. A wonderful spot from which to explore Tuscany

Royce’s apartment is in a fantastic location and was a great home base for our stay. We could easily explore Montepulciano on foot and keep our car close by for exploring the countryside and beyond. Royce was responsive and provided a great guide to the town.

This was lovely apartment in an excellent location. It was truly charming. There is a wonderful small market right outside the apartment on the corner where you can get amazing cheeses, pasta, cured meats, etc. We loved it and would absolutely stay there again. Note though that from the parking lot to to apartment is a long staircase up (consider that when packing) but that is pretty true anywhere you stay in Montepulciano. Even though it was very hot during our stay, the apartment stayed pretty cool. If we ever get back there, we will definitely look to stay there again.

Although a treck up the stairs from the parking area with luggage, this apartment is in a perfect location with a stunning view just steps away from the entrance. It is furnished with beautiful marble and tasteful antiques.

Fantastic accommodation

If you are lucky enough to book this attractive multi-level apartment in the unforgettable town of Montepulciano, you will have an experience to remember. There were 3 of us -- myself and husband and our adult daughter. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was charming, and we could completely relax there after our daily travels in the countryside or walks around the town. The owner was completely responsive and helpful when we were booking and made sure we had everything we needed when we arrived. We found ourselves almost every evening sitting on a bench on the outside terrace with a glass of wine to watch the sunsets. The location of the accommodation couldn't have been more convenient, with everything we needed within a few steps. Although there are many very nice accommodations in the surrounding countryside, we felt we wouldn't have enjoyed our 8 days in Tuscany as much if we hadn't been able to stay here.

Wishing to be back in Montepulciano

The apartment was the perfect accommodations for two couples visiting the Tuscan region. We were a short walk to cafes and restaurants. We would start each morning at the coffee cafe and sit on the balcony overlooking the countryside. The town as well as the apartment were enchanting. The terrace outside the apartment was a lovely place to enjoy a bottle of wine and just relax while enjoying the views. We appreciated the kitchen when we took the time to use it, but mostly enjoyed what the town had to offer. Thanks to Royce and Aidan for renting out the apartment to us. We hope to return.

Perfect Location In a Perfect Hill Town

My husband and I, along with another couple, just returned from a wonderful week in this apartment in Montepulciano. This is the second time my husband and I have stayed in this apt, and we found it just as comfortable and well appointed as the last time. Perfect for two couples. There is quick access to a beautiful piazza that we would begin each day at with our coffee and end each day at with our wine and snacks before deciding which wonderful restaurant we'd go to in Montepulciano. The view from this terrace, piazza, is amazing!! It's like you can see forever. Beautiful! Royce was very easy to deal with and also provided a lot of helpful information. A perfect apartment in a perfect place!! Thank you again Royce.

Highlight of our three week trip!!

This place is situated in a perfect spot in Montepulciano. We enjoyed and used the viewing area quite a bit. We watched sunrise with our coffee and had relaxing evenings with our wine out there. The owners are very helpful and give plenty of information for the surrounding area to enjoy. Parking in the lot below the stairs is the easiest if you are able to do stairs, which you will need to be able to do in the unit as well. The unit has everything you would need for a nice stay in this beautiful hill top town. Loved it!!

The Perfect Spot for your Italian Adventure

This is the perfect home for 2 couples in the most perfect of all the hills towns. The house lived up to all the photos and was well located for both local activities and for driving to other Tuscan beauty spots. Loads of wonderful restaurants in town and plenty of places to sample local wine. There is no private outside space but we simply took our lunch or glass of wine down to the terrace. Owners are very helpful. Would highly recommend this home.

Lovely, quiet accommodations

4 of us stayed for a week, and enjoyed the privacy of the accommodations, which were very clean and well stocked. The lack of windows overlooking something other than walls disappointed though. We were steps away from a lovely view, but never found time to take our wine there. It is a very quiet town, things close down in the evenings. A good place to escape, not to find action! Owners are great, recommend it highly.

Perfect for 2 couples!

This apartment was everything the other reviews say as well it is as beautiful as the pictures show it to be. It is perfect for 2 couples as you each have a separate space and your own bathroom. The kitchen is perfectly equipped to have your own happy hours before dinner. The town is quite small though and at night it is very very quiet which is great if you want to relax after a long day touring around which is what we did. It is a very good location to see the other towns of tuscany, everything is about 2 hours max away from you!

A lovely taste of life in Tuscany

This was our second time to stay at this apartment, and we hope to be back again, soon. The location within the city walls allows you to explore the nooks and crannies of Montepulciano at any time of day or night - and the view from the piazza nearby is breathtaking. There is free parking just outside the city walls (less than 5 minute walk), making the apartment an excellent base to explore the cities nearby. It is beautifully finished, the bedrooms roomy and comfortable and the kitchen is perfect for cooking meals using ingredients from the shops within walking distance. Owners are knowledgeable, helpful and charming.

Montepulciano

We booked this property for 1 week in April, 2014. Mum and Dad with daughter, husband and their 6 mth old baby. Cot and bedclothes provided free of charge. All had our own space and privacy. Wonderful location in the middle of the village. Free parking at the bottom of the hill. Owners very helpful, supplied us with lots of information before we arrived. Montepulciano is a delightful village with plenty of restaurants, cafes and ready access to many other historic villages within 30 mins drive. Countryside sensational. Kitchen a plus when travelling for several weeks (from Australia) and wanting to cook at 'home' and relax. However, given the inclement weather over the few days we were there it was disappointing the fireplace was not in use (didn’t appear to have been used and no wood or utensils provided). Thermostat heating was more than adequate though. Bathrooms on seperate floors to bedrooms was a little inconvenient. Given this is a premium wine district, a decent set of wine glasses would have been appreciated. Would occasionally have liked to listen to music or watch television news in the evening however the ‘entertainment’ system was very outdated and needed replacing. Booked for 5 nights, paid for 7, stayed 4.

Fantastic

We chose this rental based on its location directly within Montepulciano where we could easily walk to any destination within the town. With many options for tasting some of the best Nobile and Brunello wines available, walking is the preferred travel method! Montepulciano was also a great location to make day trips to other interesting towns such as Siena, Montalcino, Orvieto and Rome (by train). The unit was clean and comfortable for the four of us and we could not have asked for anything more. Our hosts, Royce and Aidan, were very accomodating and helpful. They also provided a very useful list of things to do and places to eat that we referred to frequently. The rental process was also simple and efficient. Bottom line is that when we return to Montepulciano we would rent this same unit!
