Dieses offene und luftige Strandhaus liegt auf einer Halbinsel in Westhampton Beach, genannt Pond Point, an der Dune Road. Die ungewöhnliche Umgebung bietet einen wunderschönen Blick auf die Bucht von fast jedem Raum im Haus, einschließlich der Essecke neben der Küche / dem Wohnzimmer und der Dachterrasse. Lebendige Farbtupfer im ganzen Haus wirken als sofortige Stimmungsfilter. Wenn Sie durch die Haustür gehen, werden Sie sofort spüren, dass dies ein Ort ist, an dem es sich gut mit der Familie leben lässt. Alle Zimmer sind geräumig und gut ausgestattet. Das Hauptschlafzimmer hat ein Queen-Size-Bett und ein Twin-Size-Daybed. Das zweite Schlafzimmer hat ein Queen-Size-Bett und das dritte Schlafzimmer verfügt über zwei Einzelbetten.

Ein kurzer Spaziergang führt Sie über die Dune Road und durch die Dünen zum Ocean Beach, der nur zu Fuß und nur in den umliegenden Häusern zu erreichen ist. Der Zugang zu diesem Privatstrand ist ein riesiges Merkmal des Hauses und des Stadtteils Pond Point. Surfer können zu Fuß nach links zur gleichmäßigen Pause von Jetty 4 gehen.

Es gibt zwei Zugangspunkte in der Nachbarschaft zur Bucht, einen direkt gegenüber vom Haus, der sich hervorragend zum Starten eines Kajaks (ein Kajak mit zwei Sitzen und zwei Kajaks mit einem Sitz sind mit Hausmiete erhältlich) oder eines Paddle-Boards eignet. Der andere ist nur einen kurzen Spaziergang entfernt um die Ecke ist ein voller Bootsstart.

Nach einem Tag voller Surfen und Sonnen am Strand kehren Sie in dieses charmante Strandhaus zurück und genießen atemberaubende Sonnenuntergänge über der Bucht auf der Dachterrasse.

Eine fünfminütige Autofahrt oder eine 1 1/2 Meilen lange malerische Radtour bringt Sie in die Stadt (Main Street), wo Sie einen reichhaltigen Bauernmarkt, wundervolle Cafés, Restaurants, Boutiquen und einen Surfshop finden.

Pond Point ist eine äußerst beliebte Wohngegend für Familien, da Kinder in der gesamten Umgebung spielen und Fahrrad fahren können, während sie vor der Dune Rd geschützt sind. Autoverkehr.

With the beach just a short walk away, this cozy beach house is just perfect for active families who want close proximity to a wide variety of water sports. The perfect beach destination

This is a great rental for a beach vacation getaway. The location is perfect, across the street from the bay and a few minutes walk from the ocean. The sandy ocean beach is non-public (so not crowded) and picture perfect. The house itself is also amazing, with unique decor (a pink bedroom, openable skylight windows) and thoughtful touches (lots of spices and cooking essentials in the kitchen, toiletries in the bathroom, a stocked bookshelf for the perfect beach read), plus our absolute favorite spot: a rooftop deck with panoramic views of the surrounding water (and sounds of the ocean waves). The host was friendly and helpful, and I highly recommend this location! We didn't want to leave!

Great week in WestHampton

My family had a great week! The house was just as described and so comfortable. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need, beds are comfortable, beach/water equipment is terrific, and the roof deck is so nice. The neighborhood is fun and the kids had a great time walking and skateboarding down to the bay to see the swans and watch the sunset. They also used the kayaks and SUP in the bay. Super easy to go back and forth to the beach - its a short walk and kids can do it by themselves. Very easy trip and easy place to stay with kids. Makes for a very relaxing vacation for parents because the kids can be so independent. Highly recommend.

Magical time at the beach!

Our hosts were very responsive and have thought of everything, and the charming community of Pond Point was delightful. This cool house with beautiful, funky decor was magical, and we loved the outdoor spaces ...our expectations were high, and met and indeed surpassed. A taste of the Tropics

It’s all in the details...from the delightful decor to the strategically placed wall hooks, I couldn’t have hoped for a more perfect spot for my “girls getaway.” This Caribbean-bohemian cottage has an artist’s touch and a laid-back vibe. Sunning on the rooftop deck and playing cards in the spacious great room were just two of our favorite moments from our weekend. Heather is beyond gracious. Truly, a perfect host. I will most definitely be a repeat customer.

Third stay: Always great!

This is the third time that we've enjoyed this terrific beach house. Now updated with wonderful new windows and air-conditioning, this house is a joy to stay in. The new windows afford water views both in front and in back of the house. It is literally a 6 minute walk from the house to the surf at the ocean. The house was spotless when we arrived and in perfect "move-in" condition. The homeowner has a welcoming sense of style...everything is aesthetically done with plenty of space for the renters' belongings. The kitchen is well-equipped with the essentials for one who likes to cook, including basic condiments and freshly purchased herbs and spices.. The outdoor shower even has solar globes that provide enough light to bathe at night. Everything is there to start enjoying your vacation right away: ice cubes in the freezer, soap at the sinks, dishwasher liquid and detergent, top-end toiletries in every bathroom. A special treat: enjoy the roof-top deck with gentle breezes and fabulous views.

Immaculate/great energy/creative space/inspiring

Heather's home was out of this world awesome. I love colors, and her use of curated colors and antique piecees in her interior decor is so inspiring! I never wanted to leave, in fact wanted to make this home my own. It has such great energy, a lovely breeze that dances through the home, great skylights, super comfy furniture and linens. And BONUS! A great roof deck with views from the bay to the ocean! Incredible! She has created a beautiful, welcoming, and inviting space, and I just want to plan another trip so we can stay there again! I stayed at this house with my then fiancee now husband, using it as our marriage retreat during our wedding weekend, and it was such a nice peaceful oasis during the busy wedding activities! Heather was very communicative and friendly as well as understanding and easy to work with. I recommend staying at her home to any and all considering, you won't want to miss out on this experience! And her neighbor Steve and his wife across the street were quite friendly as well. Thank you to the moon and back, Heather!

The short walk to both the bay and the ocean makes this property our ideal vacation spot.

We were so happy to spend our third summer vacation in this house. The proximity to NYC, the beach, the bay and great restaurants, makes this a true jem. Sunset views are just a short walk to the end of Harbor Road. The house is clean, nicely decorated and fully equipped for cooking. We enjoyed entertaining and taking in the beautiful scenery on the rooftop. Given that the house is surrounded by the bay, there is typically a nice cross breeze if the windows are open. For nights that are particularly warm, there are window air conditioners in the bedrooms that take out the heat and humidity. The house is fully stocked for the beach with chairs, towels and kyacks. The beach wagon made it easy to bring all our beach gear to the ocean. My husband and I are hoping to return for a week in 2019.

Wonderful!

My family and I had an incredible two weeks in Heather's home. She had all of the supplies for the house and beach that we could need! The home was clean, comfortable, and perfect for a family with tons of games, toys and books for the kids. We can't wait to return!!

Wonderful beach cottage for our annual beach trip!

My wife and our 3 boys and I had a great beach week in mid-June at Heather's cute beach house. We live in Colorado so we look forward to our beach week each year and this was our first time vacationing on Long Island. We had so much fun and this house was absolutely perfect for our family. The house is clean, cozy and had everything we needed for a memorable beach vacation. Location is perfect - just a short walk to the ocean and literally steps to the bay. The stretch of ocean beach across from the house is very clean and private and we enjoyed surf-casting there and even caught 20 inch striped bass right from the shore. Water was a bit cold in June (58 degrees) but that didn't stop us from going in the water. We loved using the kayaks and the stand-up paddle board available at the house on the bay. We loved the outdoor shower with hot water! So nice to come back from the beach and have all the kids showered and clean before even entering the home. The candelabra over the dining room table with real candles was a nice touch for evening meals. We used the super-nice outdoor grill a few times and there was an extra propane tank just in case. We had a lobster feast one night and there was even a giant pot in the kitchen perfect for boiling lobsters. Our boys loved the on-site plentiful legos to entertain themselves. Beds were comfortable and the cottage is quite large and very open/ airy. The neighbors are friendly as well! Heather was extremely helpful and called me the week before to give us tips on where to launch kayaks, etc. Can't say enough great things about this place and how attentive the owner is. Thanks again for the great beach vacation!

40th Birthday celebration

We celebrated our daughters 40th birthday over the 4th of July and it was a perfect house for the 6 of us! My brother and sister in law live directly across the street and it was an all family reunion! 6 kids and 10 adults! Perfect for getting to the beach and the bay. The top deck made for perfect viewing of the july 4th fireworks. Hope to revisit in 2 years for the next members 40th! All and all it couldn't have been better!

Charming cottage with a terrific location that has easy and close access to the ocean and the bay.

This was the second year that we rented. The cottage was spotless, nicely decorated and had all the amenities required to cook and make a beach vacation comfortable. Proximity to the beach, bay, town of Westhampton and dining was key. Watching the sunset nightly was a treat. We plan to come back next year!

Simple elegance, open air, clean and comfortable

We were lucky enough to rent this beautiful home near Dune Road for a few days in August. My husband and I, our two children along with my sister and her daughter fit nicely in this lovely house. Heather is a gracious host, was always available for any questions and even had fresh flowers and a welcoming note in the house for our arrival. The location of the house is ideal - cross over Dune Road to the beach or around the corner for kayaking on the bay. Sunsets on the roof deck are not to be missed. We rent homes from VRBO often and this one is at the top of our list! Highly recommended

A comfortable house for multiple ages in a magical setting

We rented this house again this summer and again we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. This spotless house easily accommodates 6 people of multiple ages. There are toys for kids as young as three as well as beach and water equipment for all ages. The outdoor shower and second bathroom are an added convenience and the kitchen is well-equipped. The house's proximity to the bay - two access points, one right across the street - make kayaking and paddle boarding a snap, and for those who prefer the full-on beach experience, a short walk across Dune Road is all that is needed to get to one of the east coast's most spectacular beaches. Window boxes and planters filled with beautiful flowers complement the beach house's inviting decor. The owners are welcoming and go out of their way to make the house comfortable.

Ideal location with short walk to beach and bay, plenty of shopping and great restaurants.

My family does a beach vacation every year. I must say that this was one of the best locations given the proximity to the bay and the ocean. The bay side was great for paddle boarding and viewing the sunsets. The ocean side was beautiful, clean and private. We had a delightful and relaxing vacation. The house was charming, comfortable and well equipped. The proximity to NYC was also a plus as we have adult children that needed to head back to the city for various reasons during the week and were able to re-join us without much traveling. We loved the place and would highly recommend staying here if you want a private and clean beach that you can walk to, with great shopping and restaurants a short drive away. Heather, the owner, was delightful to deal with and everything went smoothly. We hope to be able to come back next year!

Perfect family beach bungalow!

My family had the perfect vacation on Harbor Rd! Traveling with a 3 yo and an 11 mth old can be a bit tricky but this house delivered everything I needed. Walk to beach, one floor (no one falling down stairs), a deck outside to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner plus laundry and full working kitchen. I had a giant Fresh Direct order delivered the day we arrived, plus a crib rental and never had to leave. The cart for the beach made even trekking two toddlers easy. We couldn't have been more relaxed if we tried. Heather clearly had boys and my son loved discovering the books, puzzles and super hero items. I spent many summers renting in Westhampton pre-kids but this was the most special place. The neighbors couldn't have been friendlier and we quickly found babysitters. In addition, Heather was wonderful to work with and quick to respond on everything (including shipping forgotten items). Tonight we read 'Baby Turtle's Tale' that we purchased after our stay since my son had loved it, and reminisced again about that week. We hope to return many times, and know it will only get better as my kids get older.

summer vacation

we spent an unforgttable week at this lovely place. family of four. quiet and very friendly nighbourhood. cottage is spacy, very clean, nicely furnished and well equiped. we got everything we needed. boogy boards, beach towels, use of canoe - all included. ocean in walking distance. 5 min. drive to westhampton where you can get all you need and more. the kids enjoyed surf camp while we walked for hours along the beautiful and hardly populated beaches. very friendly, reliable and caring owner. we would return anytime.

Family Vacation

My family had a wonderful time at this beautiful cottage. Steps to the ocean (which you can hear in the distance) and great views from the roof deck. A great walk about neighborhood where everyone just seemed to be smiling all the time. The sunset at the end of Harbor Road was stunning. The owner obviously cares about her renters. We did take advantage of the close proximity of the town and there is lots of stores and neat type stuff to do. I got a kick out of the iconic summer sound of the slamming old type screen door (need to fix the sliding patio door though). Great, great time.

Charming beach cottage with lovely vintage decor.

Lovely, well stocked cottage with incredible amount of charm. Loved the outdoor shower, and roof deck! Owner was very attentive to make sure everything worked perfectly. Bedroom air conditioners worked well.

Another terrific Stay!

My family and I spent our second year at this little slice of heaven. The house is adorable and the owners thought of everything to ensure you have a great stay. The home is decorated beautifully, has a great bbq, lovely deck with table, sun roof and is across the street from the bay, down the block from the beach. Sunsets and sunrises are breathtaking :) The house is also pet friendly so we were able to take our dog along and enjoy the vacation with him too! I would highly recommend this comfortable, lovely, well equipped home!

We bought this summer home while living in Manhattan and needing an escape from city life. I have been summering in Westhampton since I was a child. Now my own children are loving the beach life and surfing all the Dune Rd beaches.

Salt Cedar Cottage is a an authentic 1930's beach cottage. The view of water from every room in the house, exposed beams, wide planked floors and shiplap walls make you feel like you are at the beach even when you are inside. We love to spend lots of time on the beach return home for meals then back again without ever getting into the car.
