Located in the heart of the Hiawatha National Forest, our cozy, yet spacious retreat comfortably sleeps 18 guests and is the perfect base for your outdoor adventures. Whether you're ATVing, snowmobiling, mountain biking, hiking, or snowshoeing, the Haywire Trail is right outside your door! For those who prefer to relax, unwind in front of a crackling fire, either inside by the fireplace or outside at the year-round fire pit and patio.
Inside, enjoy a massive industrial kitchen designed for group meals, a cozy great room, and three roomy bedrooms to accommodate your whole crew. There are also ample bathrooms to ensure everyone's comfort. The entire building is yours, so you can enjoy complete privacy and relaxation during your stay.

Our retreat is 5 miles south of Shingleton and centrally located between Munising, Newbury, and Manistique—only 15 minutes from the stunning Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. It’s nestled in a quiet lake community, providing a peaceful escape with easy access to all the outdoor fun the Hiawatha National Forest offers.
Outdoor and Parking Amenities
The large parking lot can easily accommodate all your trucks, trailers, and equipment, with a convenient drive-through driveway that makes turnarounds a thing of the past. Our 3-acre property is surrounded by trails for hiking, biking, and snowmobiling, giving you immediate access to the best outdoor experiences right from your doorstep.

Want to hit the water? We have a 24-foot pontoon boat available for rent, which we’ll deliver to your desired location on the lake. Your adventure awaits
House Rules
• DO NOT drive or park cars, trucks, or ATVs on the grass. Vehicles need to remain on the gravel parking lot and driveway.
• No smoking of any kind inside the cabin. Please dispose of cigarette butts in the bucket provided.
• No parties allowed without permission from hosts.
• Only registered guests allowed to be on property unless previous arrangements have been made with your hosts.
• No loud music after 10pm.
• No open flames inside the lodge. Bonfires must be contained within the designated firepit. Please use extreme caution and keep the fire size reasonable.
*Absolutely no fireworks. Our surrounding pine trees are extremely flammable.
• Clean up personal debris inside and outside of the lodge such as litter, bottlecaps, cigarette butts, bottles, cans, wrappers, etc. Removal of debris is not included in our cleaning fee and may incur up to $200 in additional charges.
• Towels are provided for use in the lodge only. Please do not use bath towels outside, at beaches, or for cleaning. Dishtowels and paper towels have been provided for any spills and clean up.
• This property must not exceed 18 people without prior approval. Campers and tents may be allowed with prior approval. If this rule is violated a charge of $200 per additional guest will be charged and camping equipment will be immediately removed.
• Fires inside and outside MUST be attended at all times and completely extinguished prior to retiring for the night or leaving the property.
