amazing place! highly recommend

We had such a nice stay at this rental! The check in was so smooth, the communication with Jeremy was great, the neighborhood was calm and chill, and the place was just as advertised. It is such a charming rental: it's has just what you need and was the perfect size for us. It's small enough to be cozy and also big enough to have everything you need: a cooking area, a seated dining area, a bathroom, an entryway, a living room, and a bedroom. Things were clean and necessary supplies were provided. We had enough kitchen items to cook what we needed to cook, and there was even conditioner in the shower which we haven't found at many other places in Malta/Gozo. The hosts also provide a guest netflix account, so we were able to watch movies to relax after a day of exploring and sight seeing. The neighborhood was accessible and also very quiet and chill. It was a short walk to a main square with restaurants too. There are a few stores nearby to get necessary supplies including water, and the hosts provided a bottle of water for when we arrived. We felt very taken care of by the host: Jeremy messaged us a few days before arrival with information, and the check in and check out and everything was very smooth. He responded promptly when we had questions, and was overall very helpful, thoughtful, engaged, and invested in us having a pleasant stay. The indoor stone walls and arches inside were beautiful and charming to stay in too! We were also thrilled to have the the washer and dryer

On one particularly memorable holiday, Jez was faced with the age-old problem of wanting to cook for himself but not having the means to do so. Roam is based in Xewkija with a choice of two supermarkets just a few doors up and several bus stops nearby. You can park right outside for free. If you're feeling peckish, check out the pizzeria and quaint family run bakery just up the road too! Being centrally located, you can conveniently travel to any of the desirable locations on the island in just a 15 min drive. Although do not rush out of the village too soon as Xewkija has a lot to offer. The village has a population of a little over 3,000 and is the oldest on the island, remaining relatively untouched. Take a walk to admire the beautiful farmhouses, incredible architecture and charm that rings throughout the town. Roam is just a 5 min walk away is the famous Xewkija Church. Measuring at 75 meters high and 27 meters wide; it is the third-largest unsupported dome in the world, right after St Peter’s in Rome and St Paul’s Cathedral. Inside the church you can admire the beautiful artwork, vast architecture and even take a lift to the top for an incredible 360 degree view of Gozo for that perfect photo. Amazed by the picturesque view of the church? Soak it up a little longer in the beautifully converted piazza, where you can enjoy anything from coffee in the morning to fine dining restaurants in the evening. Beach lover? Then why not take a swim at Xewkija's stunning Mgarr-ix-xini which was made famous by Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's film "by the sea"
