Rentals start and end right at the dock—how convenient is that? Let us know in advance if you’d like to rent, and we’ll make sure everything is ready for you. Boat renters must have prior boating experience and a valid Boater’s License (or be born on/before 1988).

Quiet & Peaceful Neighborhood! Merrymount is a charming neighborhood located in Boydton, Virginia, known for its serene and picturesque setting. Nestled along the shores of Lake Gaston, Merrymount offers residents a tranquil lakeside lifestyle. The community is characterized by a mix of well-maintained single-family homes, many of which boast stunning water views and private docks. Residents of Merrymount enjoy access to various recreational activities, including boating, fishing, and water sports, making it an ideal destination for outdoor enthusiasts. With its friendly atmosphere and natural beauty, Merrymount is a sought-after neighborhood for those seeking a peaceful, lakeside living experience in Boydton.

Use of the kayaks, paddleboards, and other water toys are at guests' own risk and liability.

We have a Pontoon boat available for rent. Make sure to let us know at time of booking if this is something you're interested in!

Quiet time is between 10pm and 8 am. Please do not play outside music and keep noise to a minimum in order to respect our neighbors.

Are there smoking restrictions? No Smoking / No Fireworks- Evidence of smoking or fireworks will result immediate eviction.

Are parties allowed? Exceeding maximum capacity or large parties will result in immediate eviction.

Are linens provided? The Linen Fee is mandatory and will be included in the reservation total.

Are early check-ins or late check-outs available? Yes if available for $100.

What is the cancellation policy? Reservations cancelled up to 30 days before arrival will receive 100% refund. Reservations cancelled between 14-29 days before arrival will receive a 50% refund. Reservations cancelled within 14 days of arrival are non-refundable.

✔ Goat Island is located in the northeast quadrant of Lake Gaston in Peahill Creek. It has long been a favorite hangout for boating families looking for a place to dock and swim.
✔ Rent a boat or jet ski. There are tons of places to rent on Lake Gaston. Book early as they fill up.
✔ Take a Wake Board Lesson. World Champion Adam Fields owns AFWake and teaches. You can rent or buy equipment.
✔ Sylvan Heights Bird Park has over 2,000 birds from around the world.
✔ Play Golf
Although some of these courses are private, call and they will most likely let you play.

If you break or damage anything in or on the property, please let us know so we can arrange for its repair before the next guest’s arrival.
No smoking
Pets are allowed with $150 per pet fee, however, please keep them off the couches and bed. All pets have to be on a leash when outside. If comforter has to be deep cleaned due to animals there will be a fee.
Any missing items from the home that are not returned will result in fees for each item.
