Wonderful house and location

We have stayed here for four years in a row. The house is great, as well as the huge fenced in yard, pool, hot tub, and tiki bar. Everything you could need is right there. The beach access is just a short walk. Highly recommend this house when vacationing in Nags Head.

Highly Recommend Sea-esta!

Refrigerators on each floor. Pool & hot tub were clean and nice. Plenty of kitchen ware: plates, utensils, kid friendly dishes. Undersold what was available: for example, two Pack and Plays in the closets. Lots of steps since main living is on the third floor. Great access to the beach; short walk. Close to many OBX attractions- Wright Brothers, Jockey's Ridge, shopping centers, and restaurants.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We found things we liked and did not like during our week. Overall it was fine and we had a good week.The Good:- Location is a plus for sure. A very short walk across the street and up to the Small St. beach access.- The yard is large. A lot of bare spots, and we were nervous there'd be sand spurs, but we were happy to not encounter any. Fence has some age on it, so we never left our dog out in the yard unwatched.- The shed had some good beach chairs, beach toys, and pool toys, once you sort through the items in rougher shape. The beach cart is on its last legs, but it worked fine for us.- The house was quite clean upon arrival.- Beds were comfortable.- Extra fridges on each level is a plus.The Not so Good:- The pool furniture is not as pictured. There was a single lounge chair, and it was cracked.- The toaster is really bad.- The 2nd floor bunk bed railing is not very secure. We did not use it and would not feel safe using it.- A tropical storm/depression came through, and that happens, so no problem. We were kind of weirded out that someone came to the house while we were out the day before the storm, and moved lots of outdoor furniture around, presumably so it would not blow around. We were planning to do that after getting an email from the rental company requesting renters prepare.- The camera thing is not a plus, but the owners can do that if they feel it is necessary. We were aware of the cameras when we booked and it did not deter us because the house location is good, but it is unnerving to know you're being "watched" while coming and going in the driveway or walking in the backyard.- The kitchen fridge is not great.We noted that the owners are going to manage renting the property moving forward, so we doubt Beach Realty will gain much from this review, but hope the owners do. After staying here, we think the house is fine but there are better options in this price ran

Perfect Vacation!

There was so much to do at Sea-esta and room enough that we weren't on top of each other. if you wanted to take a lap in the pool, drink pina colada's at the Tiki Bar, play yard games in the spacious back yard, or relax on the many deck chairs, this is the place to stay. and our dogs just loved the back yard to run and play. i would definitely recommend Sea-esta. I would like to give a shout out to the Property Management people at Beach Realty..they were always a phone call away and very friendly and helpful

Well appointed home

The kitchen had the normal pots etc but also had a crock pot, foil etc, and containers for left-overs. The furniture is in great shape and the place is pet friendly. It is also less than a block from the beach! We will definitely try to here again.

Great place for a family

We really enjoyed this big house! It has the perfect pool for the little ones & a nice hot tub. The location was great. Beach chairs, beach wagon & toys all available for us to use. Loved it!!

The house is advertised as dog friendly with a fenced in yard. It was nice but the fence has holes and is broken in multiple places. It needs to be redone. Several chairs in the pool area were also broken. The house was clean and everything worked nicely. We will be back next year!

Need new property management

After being incredibly excited for a week with family, we were incredibly disappointed with the service we received. We had been watching the weather in preparation for our week and when we suspected cooler temps, we provided about 3 weeks notice for pool heat and paid the additional fee. When we arrived, sure enough the weather was cloudy and cool for most of our stay, however we discovered on our first day that the pool heat wasn’t working. I contacted the property managers DAILY regarding an update and a resolution. We have since checked out and I still have not had this resolved despite a refund request since I paid an extra $400 for something that never worked. We’ve rented a number of properties for vacation over the years and I have never had a property management company who is so non-responsive and so unhelpful. As a result, the pool was essentially unusable given the temps and our small children (6 kids in total) were extremely disappointed that we couldn’t use one of the main features of the house. In addition, the tiki bar lights did not work, making that another disappointment for what was an exciting feature. The maintenance person that stopped by a couple times was rude and dismissive. Between that and the horrendous customer service, I will absolutely not rent a property by Beach Realty ever again. We have large annual family reunions (16-30 people) and will make sure to avoid this property management company in the future. If we do not receive a refund, I will be lodging further complaints with other agencies.

Great stay despite not so great weather

We had a great stay despite the weather being rainy and cold all week. The only small critique is that even though it technically sleeps16, the beds wouldn’t be too comfortable for 16 adults. We only had 12 so it didn’t really matter, but the bunks are a bit low so anyone over 5’4” would hit their head if they were on the bottom bunk. But again that’s the only small issue. Other than that everything was great.

Horrible experience

When you say vacation you think about not having to worry about stress. This house was nothing but stressful the entire time. Saturday morning we took the dogs out to check out the large dog yard and thank goodness we were with them because the fence was broken and you couldn’t tell without pushing on the wooden fence itself. Our dogs escaped and my heart was in my throat cause the Main Street is a couple steps away. Throughout the week, everyday there was just something. The patio chairs broke, not just 1 but 3 as soon as you sat on them. One night in the bedroom the smoke alarm starts to beep cause the battery was dieing. Because of the timing I went out and grabbed and battery and replaced it myself. The microwave stopped working one day which I was nice enough to fix cause it just tripped. We went to use the grill and the tank ran out and when we went to hook up the other tank it was bad and couldn’t use the grill the rest of the week. The door on the third floor screen porch was broke and had to remain locked so it wouldn’t swing open. The cover lift for the hot tub was broke making it harder to use. Plus we paid extra for the pool heater to find out they never turned it on and when the finally came out it stopped working. So many different things just would stop working making this the worse experience for our first trip to Outerbanks. I will never rent this house in the future because I just feel like the owner and realty company just don’t give a crap and just take your money. We basically wasted a lot of money on a trip that we couldn’t even enjoy. I will end with saying good luck to the next group of people to rent and hopefully they get the note I left on the refrigerator about not leaving their dog or dogs in the yard.

A Thankful Thanksgiving

Have much for which to be thankful including good health and a super family. The rental wasn’t the newest and a little right around the edges but a good location. We enjoyed all the sights and ample choices for take-out food. We love the outer banks even though we live near Wrightsville Beach in NC. We will be back.

However, the mattresses were in poor shape with deep body impressions and creaky box springs. Not good for sleeping. A first floor toilet was very loose at the base so toilet rocks side to side in use. Pool, hot tub and fenced yard were great for us and dogs. The check in process was disappointing. We waited to be told when our house was ready and never got confirmation that it was. Had to go to house after 1.5 hours waiting for a text response.

My wife and I made plans to come early to give all the high touch surfaces a quick wipe down but to our surprise, the home was very clean. The large backyard was a big treat for my dog that we brought along. Large enough to throw tennis balls to her heart's desire. Home was clean, bedding/bathrooms/kitchen were great. The beach was a short walk from the home. Pool and hot tub were well used by us as well.

Wonderful Getaway

Have the kitchen on the upper level took some getting used to BUT having mini fridges on each level was a really nice feature. SO THANKFUL we opted for the pool to be heated because we spent 80% of our time there! I have never stayed at a house with SO MANY bathrooms! Again, awesome privacy feature. :) We were very happy with the house and would recommend to anyone!

Tiki hut poolside

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our first time renting Sea-esta and it was a good experience. The house is in good shape and it was clean. The only things that needed some attention were the box springs under the mattresses need to be replaced. The make so much noise when you just roll over. There are some decking that needs replacing and the furniture in the main living area is uncomfortable and not conducive for everyone to see the tv. The pool area was great. The tiki hut is just an added bonus. We had many meals by the pool. The location is an easy access to the beach. Very short walk. Sometimes it felt like we were in a fish bowl with the other houses looking in the back yard but it was ok. It was a house that worked for our family. The huge yard was great for our fur babies.

SEA-esta was a dream come true for our family. We fell in love with the OBX in 2015. In 2017, we were blessed to called SEA-esta our vacation home. We love bringing our family and friends to the Outer Banks.
SEA-esta is close to: the beach, the outlets, restaurants, the east's coast tallest natural sand dunes, Jennette's Pier, and more.

We (the owners) pick a project every year to make SEA-esta your favorite vacation home. SEA-esta has the biggest fenced in backyard in Nags Head and we are excited to continue to renovate it little by little.
