Relax with the whole family at this peaceful lake home on Sacheen Lake. A short 40 min drive from Spokane and hour from Coeur D Alene, ID. “Margie” lake home is right on the water with 125+ ft of lake frontage and beautiful 40ft dock all to yourself. Enjoy the sandy beach and waterside firepit. A great place for all seasons.
The space
The Margie” is a lakefront, rancher style home with a daylight basement. Upon entry to the home, you will be immediately greeted by an open concept kitchen, dining and living room trimmed with expansive windows overlooking the lake.
The living room includes plenty of seating with two large couches and 50” flat screen including Apple TV streaming services. This area includes a pellet stove and AC unit to ensure the temperature is just right, no matter the season.
Adjacent to the kitchen and living room is the main floor’s bath with dual sinks and standing shower, along with the primary bedroom including a king size bed and plenty of storage.
From the living room, access one of Margie’s best features - the expansive, lakeside deck with a large cozy sectional, dining set, and propane fire table and bbq. The perfect spot to start or end your day on the lake! The sunsets are breathtaking.
Just down the stairs in the daylight basement, you will find 3 bedrooms, a bathroom with a large walk in shower, laundry room and family room.
The front bedroom is small with a full bed and side table. The closet has extra pillows and blankets.
The larger bedroom has a king bed, nightstands, rocking chair, and closet with extra pillows and blankets.
The back bedroom has a full bed with nightstand and dresser. This room includes the pressure tank and water heater behind a privacy screen.
The laundry is fully stocked with a brand new LG washer and dryer and extra refrigerator.
The family room has a large couch, futon that can be used for a bed, 2 leather recliners and flat screen including Apple TV streaming services. The large family room is perfect for family game night and you can choose from a variety of family friendly games available onsite.
From the family room, a sliding glass door provides direct access to the lake! When stepping outside you will have immediate access to Margie's private beach, firepit and boat dock.
Recreation Equipment
Please enjoy the paddle board. The cornhole and washer games are super fun and stored on the lower back patio, and are perfect when set up in the sand where it’s flat.
The beach has a large umbrella for shade and 2 lounge chairs.
The dock has a swim ladder and lounge chairs, as well.
Beach towels can be found in a basket near the sliding door in the basement, and towel hooks to dry towels are available just outside the basement sliding door.
Please keep in mind that there is NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY. Use of recreation equipment, dock, and beach, is done so at your own risk.
Parking
We have a private roadside parking area that will accommodate up to 4 small to mid-sized vehicles. Please, do not drive or park on the steep driveway leading to the front entry. For easy access and safety, please use the covered, lighted staircase adjacent to the roadside parking area. The stairs lead directly into a covered area, next to Margie’s front door that’s perfect for storing trip essentials. You will find a small blue cart in the covered area that you are welcome to use to bring your belongings to and from the roadside parking area for your stay. We suggest 2 people to maneuver the cart down the steep path.
Special accommodations may be made for travelers requiring assistance that can not navigate stairs. Please message me ahead of time for additional support and guidance. Most of the home is on a slope but could be negotiated with a wheelchair, etc if needed.
Boat Launch
The boat launch is just a few short blocks away from the property on Terrace Drive. You will pass it on your left, on your way to the Margie. The launch requires a discovery pass to access.
Convenient Store
There is a small convenient store just a mile north on Highway 211 called Store N’ More. They stock some essential food items, soda, beer, gas, ice, propane and newspapers. If you’re in need of a treat, swing by in the morning for wonderful fresh pastries and donuts!
Other Things to Know
Margie runs on a well which provides safe drinking water, but please bring filtered water if you prefer it. The refrigerator offers filtered water, as well.
This is a rancher style home with a daylight basement. You will enter from the road side into the Kitchen with an open view to the lake.
Guest access
The entire home is yours! Please park in the designated parking area just off the road. The driveway can be used for walking down but please do not drive on it as it is a little steep. Covered stairs from the parking area will lead you down into the carport and a flat walk to the home. There is plenty of room for 4 vehicles.
Other things to note
Our home runs on a well safe to drink but please bring filtered water if you prefer, although the refrigerator water is filtered.
The Sacheen sewer system is a complex pump system. Please be mindful not to flush anything that will harm it.
Power outages are not frequent but can happen in inclement weather or unforeseen accidents. Without power means no water. Please notify me if the power is out for longer than just a couple of hours. And we will make special accommodations for water.
There is a rock wall with no fence close to the house separating the slope from the house to the beach. Please watch little ones and use the steps to access the beach and dock.
There are 2 operational security cameras located in the driveway on the small shed and carport.The cameras are monitoring 24/7 for your safety. It records visually and audibly. The cameras face the driveway down to the entrance door. The cameras are not monitored. There are no cameras inside the home or in any outside areas where guests would hang out around the house, decks, or patio. We take your privacy seriously.
Please remember all house rules. We ask kindly no pets, no smoking inside the house, and remove shoes upon entering the home to ensure cleanliness and comfort for all guests. No parties. No exception. We strictly enforce the registered guest rule. Please ensure you have registered all of your guests before check in. And inform us of any changes to guests from original booking. Please be respectful to our friendly neighbors by keeping noise outside to a very minimum between 10pm and 7am. Our neighbors are our family!
