Sehr schönes, modern eingerichtetes Ferienhaus in ruhiger und tropischer Umgebung

Wir waren dort für 10 Tage im August 2017. Die Wohnung liegt im 1. OG und ist sehr geräumig. Alles ist in gutem Zustand, sehr schön und modern eingerichtet. Das Highlight ist der Pool hinter dem Haus. Nach einem Strandbesuch (wenige Minuten zu Fuß vom Haus) ist es eine Wohltat in dem schönen Pool umringt von tropischen Pflanzen auszuspannen. Auch das zum Haus der Eigentümer gehörende Dock ist spannend. Wir sind zwar keine Angler aber wir haben da sehr viele Tiere gesehen (Delphine, Manatees, jede Menge und unterschiedliche Vögel). Die Vermieter (Margarethe und Rene) sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Dieses Haus und Captiva selbst sind ideal für ruhesuchende Urlauber die eine sehr schöne Umgebung zu schätzen wissen.

Great home. Great owners.

The property was wonderful. Margarethe and Rene were excellent hosts. The house had everything needed for a terrific beach vacation. Fishing off the dock provided plenty of action. Access to the beach was nearby and the beach was great. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. Overall a 5 star place with 5 start hosts.

Perfect week

We have stayed in this beautiful home before, and will be back again next year. The beach is easy to get to, the pool is very nicely secluded, the home is laid out well and has everything we needed, including kitchen items. The beds are very comfortable. The boys loved fishing off the dock.

Perfect Location

This guest house was clean, comfy, and had all the equipment needed for cooking etc. The use of the dock on the water was very cool, and being across the street from the beach was great. We biked everywhere pretty much. We have always stayed on Sanibel but this was lovely.

Back Again!

We simply love the property and all it provides ! The house is awesome , indoor pool is beautiful, dock perfect for fishing relaxing and watching dolphins. Plus the beach is very close as well. Lastly the owners are fantastic! Highly recommend this property !

Favorite Captiva location

I hesitate to write how fabulous this property and the owners are to work with, because I don’t want it to be too hard to reserve! LOL. The interior is very charming, comfy and there is amazing artwork. Kitchen is very well stocked (I would suggest bring your own fry pan). Otherwise it has all you need. The beds are deliciously comfortable, Love the proximity to the secluded beach, and the option to fish from the dock. Best of both sides of the water. The pool is heavenly. Even in the 60s, with sun out I could float for hours, it is that well sheltered and heated. We already have two more trips set to return

Amazing location for beach and bay

We enjoyed a wonderful Christmas week at Captiva Vacation Home! Its easy access to both the bay and the beach makes this location ideal. The fisherman in our group spent hours at the dock, catching so many fish. And our beach lovers couldn’t get enough of the prettiest and most private beach I have ever seen. The pool was great too - perfect for the chillier days. The owners live on site and were attentive and helpful.Everything we needed for the week was provided - beach and fishing supplies, an extremely well-stocked kitchen, laundry needs, etc. We appreciated having three bedrooms and bathrooms so that all of us (6 adults in total) could have their own space. It was also easy to gather together at the large kitchen table and sectional sofa in the living area. We cooked and ate every meal there but one - we didn’t want to leave!The grounds are beautifully landscaped and the interior is immaculately clean. The cottage is starting to show some signs of wear and tear, and there’s a bit of a musty odor inside that attached to our belongings. That said, we would definitely come back because of all the positives mentioned above!Our thanks to Margarethe and René for a fabulous week!

Wonderful house - dock was amazing!! Great location and beautiful trees surrounding the entire property. Quiet, tranquil and the stars at night are mesmerizing!! ++ Easy access to the beach, which was very private; Pool; Dock to fish...perfect for our family! (-) Read the booklet regarding the A/C, but it was very warm in the bedrooms at nights even with the ceiling fans on full spin. If the setting could be lowered without ice forming on the coils, then that would be great. You have a beautiful home, Margarethe & Rene!

Amazing home!

We are a family if 6, with 3 older kids and an 8 year old. We truly appreciated the size of the home. It was well stocked with everything you could think of to need at a beach home! The pool was lovely! The walk to the beach itself took about 5min. And once you got to the beach it was beautiful and there were maybe 4 other families nearby. Not at all crowded! And the dock Bach behind the house was amazing for fishing! My husband and boys caught so many fish! This was by far their favorite part! They even booked a fishing trip and the captain picked them right up on the dock….it was so convenient!! We very much enjoyed our stay there for the week! We will be back I’m sure! Thank you to our wonderful hosts!!

Captiva Vacation Home

We had a lovely week at the vacation home. The fishing from the dock was amazing. We saw sharks, manatees and dolphins as well. We were the only people on the beach the entire week and access is easy on the lovely path. The house was clean and well equipped with everything we needed. Our host was very kind when we encountered her. This is a gem of a spot on Captiva.

Captiva is so beautiful and we have been staying in the Vacation Home for years now. Fantastic Captiva Rental

My family has been coming to the Sanibel/Captiva since the 50's and my grandparents used to live on Sanibel. We have been renting for the past 10 years on Sanibel. This year we chose this Captiva gem. It was perfect for our mixed group of my mom in her 70's, a group of friends in their 40's and a number of kids all over two as well as two dogs who loved the fenced in area around the pool. Margarethe and her husband live in the house in between the rental and the bay. They are very friendly, accommodating and we were able to use the dock comfortably. We enjoyed the beach and found some shells here but went to the Sanibel beaches public parking when we were looking for anther experience. I highly recommend this vacation rental. Except when I want to rent it!

Spacious, Well-appointed with Excellent Location

Very clean, comfortable, pleasant beach house with plenty of room for eating, socializing and just hanging out. Steps to a dock on Blind Pass for bird watching and sunning during the day or to watch hungry fish snap up prey under the lights at night. Directly across the street from the beach with a beach cart, cooler, sun shade and all the chairs, boogie boards and shell scoopers you need. Screened in front porch was very pleasant for mornings.
