Our lake cottage is easily adaptable to fit your needs! Whether you are a couple seeking a quiet, romantic retreat or a larger group coming to the area to enjoy the lakes and parks, this home is for you! Both bedrooms have beautiful Stone Lake sunset views, with the upper featuring an ensuite bathroom and shower. The lower level includes a full bathroom with steam shower, gathering area and lakefront views with access to the patio with table/chairs and wood burning stove. This is also where the full-service laundry room and Ping Pong table are. The fully-equipped kitchen is open to the family room and screened porch with a gas-burning kettle stove and eating area. We take great pride in tending to and cleaning the property ourselves after each guest stay. We are a "no shoes in the house" kind of family and we hope that the level of comfort and cleanliness shows! There is also plenty of outdoor space - a tiered patio walking down to and overlooking the lake, fenced courtyard, and access to the beach and public dock steps away. Stone Lake is approximately 3 miles around and navigable by foot or bicycle for exercise enthusiasts. We provide shampoo/conditioner, all linens including beach towels, coffee and fixings and paper goods.

Our lake home is your lake home! Guests can use all space including one car garage for storage, fenced-in courtyard, bikes, paddleboard, floating tubes, kayak and gas grill. We are also members of 24-hour Urban Fitness and can assist you in getting passes for your stay, just ask! If you have questions or need advice about bringing a boat let us know that too, we have options to help you! The public dock is only a short walk. Summer 2021 inquire about renting our new 2021 Party Barge Sun Tracker 60 hP engine pontoon. We also have exterior security cameras at the front door and lower access door for your security and ours. We live in LaPorte less than 30 minutes away and can be on hand for any questions or concerns you may have during your visit. We take great pride in making your stay as enjoyable and comfortable as possible! Let us know what we can do to help!

The house is in a quiet residential area on Stone Lake, close to all the amenities of LaPorte County. It's a no-wake lake, ideal for fishing and non-motorized water play. The lower Lakeshore Drive is now a one way heading southwest. One side is for driving and the other for pedestrian traffic.

The 2 rollaway twin beds are outfitted with comfortable mattresses and thick mattress pads. This completes sleeping arrangements for the 5th and 6th guest. Although adults can definitely use them, they are most comfortable for the littles. They are located on the lower level. Also as mentioned above we have 2 exterior security cameras at the front door and lower level access door for your safety and ours.
⭕Refund Policy Peak Season:
While we accommodate a generous cancellation policy in the "off-season," we consider our peak season to be the time inclusive of Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. During this time, we follow a strict policy and offer a 50% refund up to 30 days before arrival.

Guest Count:
Applies toward all ages staying at the house - no additional guests allowed in the home without prior notice or extra guest fee will apply.

NOISE:
Please be respectful of our neighbors and limit outside noise to a minimum after dusk. PARKING:
1 spot available on gravel in front of house and additional parking on street. Please no parking directly in front of garage which blocks neighbors access to their garage and is technically part of the street.

SHOES:
We take pride in a clean environment, as such we'd love for you to remove your shoes as you enter.

KIDDOS:
We do allow children to stay, but please understand that the house is not safety-equipped and is geared more toward adult escapes.

CHECKOUT:
Our cleaning fee covers routine cleaning like bathrooms, bedding, towels, floors and windows. We ask that you please clean up your own kitchen messes, garbage, etc. Please do not wash any linens and feel free to leave the beds unmade.

THE LAKES:
Stone Lake is a no-wake lake. Pine Lake, which is accessible through the channel, is where sport activities take place. You are free to use our paddle board and any kayaks at the house at YOUR OWN RISK. Life jackets are in the garage. Boats can be anchored during daytime hours in front of the house but not overnight . The public boat dock is within walking distance.
