This is a ground floor unit of a duplex property. Upstairs noise may be heard from time to time.
San Diego Airport flight path runs over South Mission Bay. Airplane noise may be heard; however, departing flights are not permitted between 11:30pm-6:30am.
This home is monitored by exterior surveillance cameras and interior noise monitoring devices.
We supply a starter pack of paper goods and cleaning products. This includes paper towels, toilet paper, laundry detergent, multi-purpose spray, hand & dish soap, and shower sets.
Beach chairs, and a beach umbrella are also provided for your use.
You must be at least 30 years old to rent this home. If all guests are adults, all guests must be over the age of 30, excluding families.

Neighborhood Notes:
Mission Beach is San Diego's lively take on the classic boardwalk beach town with over five miles of waterfront boardwalk, trendy shops, restaurants, and Belmont Park, a beachfront amusement park featuring the historic Giant Dipper Roller Coaster, originally built in 1925 but since restored, miniature golf, bumper cars, rock climbing, and an arcade. Mission Beach is just a few minutes to Sea World, 15-20 minutes to The San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park, San Diego International Airport (SAN), and downtown San Diego.

This rental is located in a high-density neighborhood with strict house rules and is only suitable for quieter groups. No tolerance policy exists for excessive noise, occupancy, parties, or smoking. Failure to abide by these policies may lead to immediate eviction without refund. Please make sure you are comfortable with these policies before renting.

Bayside gem!

This was a beautiful little place for our family’s weeklong stay. Clean and comfortable and in a perfect location. Property management company was great - very easy to reach and communicate with. Would definitely go back!

Great location!

Great location, especially with dogs except that there is a period of time during the day were you are not allowed to walk your dogs on the boardwalk or the grass which was a little disappointing. The park ranger stopped us and told us we couldn’t walk our dogs and it was only 10 AM. Unfortunately, the bed was very squeaky and not very comfortable and definitely needs new pillows/bedding. We also would’ve been very happy to see some coffee pods and creamer or seasonings in the kitchen. However, the fireplace and fire pit were very nice to have and the location is lovely. Beautiful sun rises!

A perfect week on the bay

This is our second stay at this house. Everything is perfect!! We love the patio with a view of the bay, close proximity to the park and only a few minutes to walk to the beach. Beds and furniture are very comfortable. A fun thing in the kitchen is the coffee pot that does both K-cup and regular drip coffee. Can't wait to come back next summer!

Great location

We loved our time here. Being right on the beach was amazing and we were centrally located to everything we needed. The view from the living room and the outdoor patio were our favorite spots to spend time. Everything was clean and as listed. Would definitely recommend!

Awesome place

This was our second stay at this property, but it had been four years since our first stay. The property does not disappoint! They've added blackout curtains to the master bedroom which was the only negative comment I had previously. We love the location and its proximity to the park, bay, and easy access to the beach side as well. We barely heard our upstairs neighbors but if you had a rowdy people upstairs your experience may vary.

A perfect piece of paradise

This was a very much needed vacation for myself, husband and mom in law, and we could not have asked for a better accommodation! Clean and comfortable, nicely furnished with everything we needed. The view was spectacular and the nearby home owners and renters were all very friendly. I absolutely recommend this VRBO to any family (with or without pets)!

Beauty and the Beach

We loved this place! It had everything we needed. On a few of the days we were there, having AC was wonderful. The beds were comfortable, and the kitchen well stocked. Lots of channels available on the tv. They accept dogs, and there was grass close by. We spent a lot of time on the comfortable patio which was just steps to the beach. The rental company was wonderful to work with, they answered any texts promptly. We will most definitely be back!

Exceeded Expectations

This place is heavenly, immaculately presented and elegantly designed. Such a gem. The only glitch is the spectrum didnt work most of the time for cable but that forced us to connect and not be glued to TV during the weeklong storms.

Graduation

We took our daughter and a couple friends to San Diego to relax and celebrate her graduation. Perfect place for a weekend getaway- you can park the car and walk to most everywhere. One bonus not listed was the patio has an unobstructed view of the nightly fireworks at Sea World. Definitely plan to go again.

Nice place

Nice unit in a nice location. Very comfortable. We love Mission Bay and how we can walk or bike so many places. The rental company (Swell Vacation Rentals) was very responsive to a couple of minor issues we had with a coffee maker and WiFi, and addressed them right away. Sometimes we could hear the upstairs neighbors walking around (just footsteps, not voices)

Awesome location

The location couldn’t have been better — right on the beach with a park nearby. Great network of hiking/biking paths throughout the area. The hosts were very helpful and responsive and the unit was very comfortable.

Great location makes up for short falls

The location was great - walkable to the Boardwalk and very quiet. The facility was clean. The home is sparsely stocked including limited place settings, lack of tissues, items that don't work including a broken washer, coffee pot, and bathroom faucet - we were disappointed in these and it didn't feel like home unlike many other rentals we have had under VRBO. The home also lacked referrals for great places to eat, see, and adventure - also not something we have previously experienced. Overall it rated a 4 but we won't return.

Would stay again! But few things….

Very beautiful home. The pictures were pretty dead on as far as the decor, view, etc. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The bathroom was nice. The kitchen was fully stocked. They could definitely invest in some new pans, as some of them were going pretty downhill, but they worked fine. They had some sports equipment like a volleyball for the open court in the sand very nearby. Some toys for kids if we had brought our kids. Adirondack chairs. A nice table outside with beautiful lights for fun at night. It was absolutely great. In fact, if you are there on a night where sea world has fireworks, you can watch them from the deck!! That was a nice surprise. Also, the grill was just fine. Cooked up some prime filets that we’re perfectly yummy….there is extra propane available if you need it too. A couple of things that need improvement for sure. Wifi is very slow and the range is poor. The router is upstairs and doesn’t extend downstairs very well. Additionally, the people upstairs unplugged it by accident, so we were without wifi for a day, and even the second day, the TV’s were not connected properly, so we couldn’t stream. The response time was decent to fix these things, but could have been better. Additionally, the fridge wasn’t cooling well, and someone had to some out and fill the Freon, which they did and it worked fine after. A few additional things that needed improvement. The master bedroom mattress was very uncomfortable. It’s old and needs to be replaced. It had a concave feel, and we had to turn it around just to feel like we weren’t going to slide off the side. Not awesome sleep, but wasn’t the worst either. The “recliner” deck chair outside didn’t recline….it appeared to be broken, or maybe it just wasn’t meant to recline, but it appeared it should have. The thermostat wasn’t allowed to be turned below 72°. It got a little warm during the day and we wanted to turn it down but there was a sign that said we couldn’t according to the agreement. The screen door fell off a couple times and is bent up, but it wasn’t a big deal. It needs a new screen door though. I feel like this is a problem everyone has at home though, so this is really not a big complaint here. Lastly….10am checkout. This is pretty early. Seems they could extend to 11am, but if you have someone coming in after you….it’s not going to happen. Overall, like I said, it was a pretty awesome place and we had a ton of fun. These were all small gripes as we would definitely stay here again. But just have reasonable expectations that things may not be perfect.

Great spot!

Enjoyed our stay at this unit. Had plenty of room for our family. Felt bigger than the pictures seemed. The location was great having a kids park right outside the patio and just down the street from Belmont park which was tons of fun! Also 10 mins from seaworld so this was a relaxing homebase for a san Diego family trip.

Wonderful home for a perfect holiday

The house is very beautiful, new, very clean and with all the comfort that you need. The beach in front of the house is quiet and perfect for kids. One of the best houses we’ve ever rent around the world. We’ll sure consider to rent this house on our next trip to San Diego.
