Hidden Hollow- Ein entzückendes Häuschen in Gehweite zur Stadt zum Einkaufen, Essen, Galerien, Kirchen, Tennis, öffentlichem Schwimmbad, Naturlehrpfaden und vielem mehr. Hier haben Sie Privatsphäre am Ende der Straße, sind aber nicht abgeschieden - sehr praktisch.

Es gibt ein Minimum von einer Woche für Urlaubswochen, ansonsten ein Minimum von 3 Nächten.

Dieses Haus könnte leicht als ein Haus mit drei Schlafzimmern passieren - der offene Dachboden dient als 3. Schlafzimmer und teilt sich das Badezimmer im Obergeschoss. Der große Raum bietet einen beeindruckenden raumhohen Gaskamin, schöne Holzböden, Kabel-TV mit DVD, eine offene Küche und einen Essbereich. Die überdachte Veranda ist ein schöner Zufluchtsort mit Blick auf den schönen üppigen Wald und den Bach. Man würde nie glauben, dass man nur einen Häuserblock von der Stadt entfernt ist. Gasgrill befindet sich direkt neben der Veranda. Das Mst BR verfügt über ein Kingsize-Bett und ein eigenes Bad mit Whirlpool, der Loft-Bereich über ein Ausziehbett, das Guest BR über ein Queensize-Bett und ein eigenes Bad. Es gibt eine halbe Badewanne vor dem großen Raum und der Wäschebereich ist direkt neben der Küche. Dieses Haus verfügt über Zentralheizung und Klimaanlage und obwohl es klein ist, "lebt es groß" mit allen verfügbaren separaten Wohnräumen.
Rauchen verboten. Es werden nur kleine Hunde berücksichtigt. Dieses Haus verfügt über WiFi.

Great stay for Highlands downtown

We come to Highlands every yer Ar this time to reconnect with friends after Thanksgiving. Enjoying the Highlands and the tree lighting tradition. This location was great for us. The listing was exactly as discribed. Only hiccup was the fireplace wouldnt light.

Simple house and good location

Good location in town / near town. Walking to many things. TV is old (no smart apps), but that was fine, forced us to do fun things like play chess and do puzzles!

Wanted to love it but no.

Unfortunately, due to the mold and mildew issues with this house we will not be returning. The location is spot on and the house was once truly beautiful, but with the lack of maintenance there is a major mold and mildew issue. As soon as you step in the house you are aware of it. If the owners invested in good dehumidifier that drains outside along with a quality air purifier this may be manageable. We are very familiar with this area being a rain forest, but no one should feel like they are breathing in mold while they stay here, much less smell it. I hope this review helps anyone that is sensitive to these issues. Half our family left early with upper respiratory symptoms. I hope the owner thinks enough of their guests to fix these things.

In need of some TLC!

The property is in an excellent, walkable location near the main strip, which we thoroughly enjoyed. However, the home itself is in significant need of both interior and exterior repairs. Upon entering, we were immediately overwhelmed by a strong musty smell, likely due to the wooded surroundings and persistent moisture issues. To make matters worse, we found a dead mouse in the main living upon arrival, which was extremely off-putting.The mustiness triggered a severe allergic reaction for me, making it difficult to enjoy our stay while we needed to be there, it was so bad our friends who joined left a day early. While there is a dehumidifier available, it required constant monitoring and emptying to manage the damp conditions. Despite the lease paperwork indicating a pre-arrival inspection, we later learned the property had last been cleaned/ inspected since six days prior to our check-in. Communication with the property manager came after one phone call and a second email. They did refund the cleaning fee, which I appreciated.The exterior of the home is visibly affected by wood rot, and while the large windows provide great views, the lack of window coverings presents a privacy issue that some may not enjoy. We had to hang towels in the upstairs bedroom window and noticed passersby on the path beside the house could see into the downstairs restroom and anyone can see through the front of the home. This property fell short of expectations.

Disappointing

Poor condition of dishes & kitchen equipment.7. Tiny TV, inadequate service.There is a heavy musty/moldy odor when you enter the house. It is very damp inside, and the dehumidifier never stops running. Within a few hours we had runny noses,coughs,and itching, burning eyes. Good location, and it could be very nice, but not well-maintained or appointed. The dishes had chips and chunks out of them, and the coffee cups got dangerously hot in the microwave. This was our second year in this property, and not one thing was improved, added or changed. For example, the kitchen sink sprayer was broken and wouldn't sit in its hole. The pots and pans were very old and in poor condition. When it rained, we had to wade through water up to our ankles to get in the door. There was contractor debris outside. The management company was great; we wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

The accommodations were great, the vicinity was the best, and the decorations were awesome! The place did smell as though it had been empty for quite some time. There were cobwebs in several places, dust bunnies in the corners, and it just felt as though it had not been cleaned in a while.

home much less than pristine

Very heavy, bad mold smell, had to run a manual dehumidifier 24/7 in attempt to dry out home. Very, very dark without all lights on in daytime, open hole in wall of master closet to wet crawl space (3X2 feet) in master bedroom, fire hazzard light fixture in master closet (burned fixture and ancient cloth wiring.. unable to be repaired by rental company). When it rained heavily, the street which drains toward house, flooded up to steps about 6 plus inches deep and you had to wait for it to recede before leaving or returning. I cleaned the place for 2 of the three weeks. The good news is I left the home much better than I found it.

Very small TV in the family room. Hard to see.s

2021 Hidden Hollow Property Review

Reviewer Comments: Hidden Hollow is nestled in a great location just a few blocks from downtown Highlands. The location is outstanding. The interior design was well planned. All that said, the property needs better housekeeping and maintenance. The BBQ unit is filthy. Several areas of interior need better cleaning. Initially, the washer and dryer were not suitably maintained. To be fair, Chambers Realty somewhat improved the performance, The BBQ and washer and dryer need to be replaced. We could recommend property only if the specific above comments were fixed.

We had a little issue with flys, however, the rental agency was very quick to respond once notified. There were a few other minor repairs needed of which I'm sure will be done in a timely manner. All in all it was a nice home convenient to all amenities.
