Everything we could ask for and more
We had an overdue extended family gathering, nine adults and four kids ranging from 2 to 14. We could not have found a more perfect place. The setting and the set-up were ideal and even the 14-year-old said he enjoyed it. There’s very little that wasn’t thought of or provided and there’s even an EV charger. Because we rented the entire compound, everyone had access to all the amenities. The landscaping and the layout are gorgeous. There was plenty of room for the kids to run and play, plenty of spaces in the three houses to hide and decompress, plenty of room in the pool and hot tub. We had meals together in the main house and on the deck by the pool, as well as having our own spaces for light breakfasts and lunches. We were also close enough to shopping and activities in and around Gilford (if you have little ones, you have to go to Beans and Greens Farm), as well as a short trip to Weirs Beach and Meredith for fireworks, a ropes course, go-carts, bumper boats, mini golf and arcades and we rented the caboose on the Winnipesaukee Scenic Rail for our entire party and back to the base for a Fourth of July cookout. We had a couple minor issues but things happen that are out of everyone’s control. The owner was very responsive and those issues were quickly and completely resolved, which is all you can ask for. Everyone agreed it was one of the best vacations and we plan to do it again next year, hopefully same time, absolutely same place.
