SPASS, KREATIV, UMWELTFREUNDLICHES Zuhause auf der ursprünglichen "Whitney´s Slope" des Black Mountain Ski-Gebiets im charmanten Jackson. Südlage (und 42 Fenster) bieten jede Menge Sonnenschein, atemberaubende Ausblicke auf mehrere Gebirgszüge, Felder, Pferdewiesen und endlosen Charakter. Drei Etagen mit Wohn liefern eine Fülle von Freizeitmöglichkeiten für verschiedene Familieninteressen und eine gemütliche und doch offen, Grundriss, perfekt für Unterhaltung. Der Außenbereich umfasst eine überdachte Bauernveranda, einen Balkon, 3 Ziegelsteinterrassen, eine Feuerstelle, einen privaten Garten und üppige Gärten und Sitzbereiche.
Das Haus verfügt über 2 Einfahrten und separate Einträge, so dass die erste Ebene des Hauses bietet einen eigenen Privatleben, die sich perfekt für Familien teilen das Haus ist. Der erste Stock verfügt über ein ausziehbares Bett in voller Größe mit einem 3-Zoll-Memory-Foam-Topper und eine vollständige Liege, die ein erwachsenes Paar oder eine junge Familie bequem unterbringen kann. In diesem Bereich befinden sich auch ein 60-Zoll-TV sowie ein angrenzendes WC und ein Frontloader-Wasch- / Färber. Im ersten Stock befindet sich in einem separaten Bereich ein speziell angefertigtes Etagenhaus und ein 6-Zoll-Billardtisch.

Genießen Pferde grasen auf der Weide direkt vor der Tür, ebenso wie Schwimmen, Angeln, National Forest Wander- und Radwege. Kurzer Spaziergang zum Shovel Handle Pub und Restaurant, Forellenteich und Eislaufplatz im Winter. Jackson Falls, Jackson Village, zwei Golfplätze, Geschäfte und Galerien im Umkreis von 1 km und Story Land 3 km. Einfach Schritt vor die Tür, um Ski (alpin und nordisch) Schneeschuhwandern, Rodeln, Eislaufen zu genießen. Das Jackson Country Ski Touring Center liegt 3 km von zu Hause entfernt und bietet Hunderte von Kilometern Wanderwegen, die auf der gegenüberliegenden Straßenseite von zu Hause aus erreichbar sind. Great Ski House

We had a great time at Lori's house. It was a quick ride over to Black Mountain. The house was as described. Clean, cozy and well stocked. We would defiantly stay here again!

Truly excellent experience

My family and I had an amazing stay here. First and foremost, this is a place whose owners really care about it. The unique detail and decor throughout the house and the organization and care taken to equip and prepare it for guests are reflected in what a cool, one-of-kind place this is. My kids already miss the bunk beds and we hung out in a different spot every night. The owners are awesome; I got all kinds of great insight to help us make the most of our trip and they went above and beyond to make our stay even better than we could have expected. This is a great location if you want to ski Black Mountain, which has an amazing vibe and is really coming back. It’s basically right next door and when they run the awesome Shovel Handle lift it is literally right there. Also a good spot to ski Wildcat and Attitash out if, about 20 minutes to each.Theres a reason all the reviews of this house are extremely positive - theyre clearly doing something right and we couldn’t recommend it enough. Thanks for a great stay!

Perfect retreat

Lori’s house sat up on a hill overlooking Black Mountain across from Whitney’s inn. Everything was perfect with plenty of space and everything you could possibly need for your stay. She was very creative and detailed in her decorating ideas and decor. You could walk to Black mountain / Whitney’s inn and shovel hand pub for food and drinks. A quick ride down the road and you have other great dining options as well as the Jackson Falls. Definitely one of the best if not the best houses we have stayed in. We will only try and book her place from now on!

A fun unique retreat!

Our family of seven (mostly adults and one teenager) totally enjoyed our time at this fun home near Black Mountain! From the moment we arrived, we could see how much thought was put into the decor and functionality of this house. I think the entry was probably my favorite functional space because when you are traveling - especially during ski season - there is a lot of winter gear, so being able to have that space to put things as soon as you walk in is a huge bonus. An extra long bench that spans the entire large entryway was so helpful, with space under the bench, above the bench, coat hooks on the walls, a closet, mats, rugs, and a bathroom! With the two main bedrooms also on that entry level it was so much easier to Pack things up as well. The kitchen and living room on the top floor has a large open space that we enjoyed gathering in, cooking, sitting in front of the fireplace. As big as it is it was also very cozy and fun to look up at all of the great antiques. The homeowners definitely have a knack for displaying their collection. The basement was beautifully furnished as well, again a comfortable sectional, games, Laundry, etc. with the fun decor carried throughout. We utilized all of the sleeping areas and found the beds to be so comfortable! To top it all off, this house was one of the cleanest properties we have ever rented. My daughter lost one of her AirPods in the middle of the week and we literally searched high and low, under couches under mattresses couch cushions etc. Not one crumb or dust bunny was found! (The AirPod was found in the back corner under the couch, so you can imagine we had to dig deep!) Lori was great to communicate with, and check in/out was super easy. Jackson is our favorite area to stay in, so location for us was perfect. We have rented many properties over the years and we would absolutely choose to stay here again!

Warm and Inviting

My family had a wonderful time during our annual December trip to NH. We have stayed at many different places in the area but none as warm and inviting as this lovely home. The house was clean, modern and the decor was amazing. It was so inviting that we immediately felt relaxed as soon as we walked through the door. Unique and special mountain getaway!

Rain or shine this place makes great memories! Just returned from our week and start to finish it was terrific. Our family of 5 plus two more family members enjoyed every aspect of the home, inside and out. We definitely took advantage of bocce playing, Black Mtn horseback riding, and all the nearby swimming holes. Bunk beds were such a hit! Lori was so quick and helpful in her replies and in her travel planning tips. Thanks once again for our summer highlight and we would love to come back!

I wish I could call this my second home... Our experience has no words. From beautiful mountains surrounding us, the unique treehouse effect of this three-story house, and places for everyone to go for peace and quiet. We loved it. You can spend a few hours just looking at the details and perfectly place decor in this unique house. The pictures do it no justice. This is the first experience taking our dog away with us. He was greeted by some treats and made himself quite comfy in front of the fire.. we highly recommend this place and would love to see what it looks like in the fall.

We purchased the property of our dreams in 2006. We spent the next 2 years building our house and moved into it in 2008. We have been working on it ever since and it is most definitely a labor of love.

We pride ourselves in offering a unique and unforgettable experience to our guests. Most of our guests have returned many times over the past 10 years and consider it their second home, which is exactly how we want them to feel!

Our home is quite unique and one of the things our guests love about it. We designed and built the home with the effort and intent to minimize the impact on our beautiful natural environment as much as possible, both during the construction process and once living in it. The house was built with ICF (Insulated Concrete Form) construction. Basically, this means that the walls are one foot in mass, from the foundation to the roofline, consisting of recycled Styrofoam blocks filled with 6” of poured concrete. This construction not only makes the home virtually indestructible and allergen free (bacteria and mold cannot grow in this type of environment); it makes it extremely energy efficient, as the concrete mass keeps out the cold in the winter and the warmth in the summer. In addition, this type of construction greatly minimizes waste and the use of natural materials used in a conventional stick frame build.

We have never stopped working on improving our home over the years (and probably never will because we love working on it) and it is another thing our returning guests love because they always have a new surprise to enjoy when they arrive.
