Nicely appointed with three bedrooms and two bathrooms, this vacation home has a serene backyard with a private pool, hot tub, and plenty of entertainment space.

The open living area has beautiful views of the tropically landscaped backyard, a large sectional, and TV. In the fully equipped kitchen, you will find quartz counters, an island with comfortable seating, and a chic dining table.

Down the hall, you will find three serene bedrooms, all designed with king beds, luxury linens, TVs, and stunning ensuite bathrooms with plenty of space for necessities and gorgeous walk-in showers.

The private backyard has a stunning pool, lounge seating, a BBQ grill, and a deck with an outdoor dining table.

With a wide range of activities like biking, golf cart rides, and the complimentary AMI Trolley, you are sure to find the perfect way to explore the 7-mile island. What's more, this home offers ample parking space for a boat trailer (with approval prior to guest check in), so you can bring your own boat, kayaks or paddleboards and enjoy fishing and exploring the bay with ease.

A small slice of paradise

Was looking for a nicely located and appointed home on AMI with a pool and boy did “Hunky Dory” deliver. Stayed 4 nights with my family (4 adults), we loved the three separate rooms with very comfortable beds, the master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, the other two rooms share a bathroom. The kitchen, dining area and family room are very open feeling, nicely decorated with comfortable furniture for 5ish people to rest after a hard day of beaching and swimming. Speaking of the pool - wow - what a nice place to spend the day, and then in the evening, switch over to the giant spa. Both the pool and spa are large enough to host a large number of guests, have a cool lighting setup. Around the pool and spa are two lounge chairs on one side and 4 Adirondack style chairs on the other. Great place to spend time. Hunky Dory is located on the North side of AMI, about .5 miles (10 minute walk) from the Gulf side beach entrance off of Pine Ave; just about .7 miles to Bean Pointe access off of North Shore Dr (10-15 mins) and a very short .2 mile walk to Anna Maria Pier and Bayside park. We spent most of our time on Anna Maria Beach off of Pine Ave, but would head to Bean Pointe for Sunsets. Hunky Dory includes 4 beach chairs, an umbrella and a beach cart to use to get your gear to and from the beach. We are an active family and didn’t mind the walking, though for some renting a golf cart or bikes might be a good idea. All told - we really loved our stay!

Pros: Very large, nice, clean pool. A/C kept the inside nice and cool. WiFi and TV/satellite worked well. Place was clean and beds were comfortable. Cons: Only one entrance to the house, which was up a long flight of somewhat rickety stairs to a deck that could also use some repair. No elevator, which is something to keep in mind if you have guests in your party who have difficulty navigating stairs. The area surrounding the pool was neither grass or turf, but a mixture of gravel and bits of broken seashells. While this is very good for maintenance/cost purposes, it isn’t pleasant to walk on with bare feet. There are a few pavers that act as stepping stones to get to and from the pool, so stick to those and/or wear flip flops. Kitchen wasn’t equipped with much for cooking/food storage. Seating in the living area wasn’t the most comfortable. There is plenty of room to add a larger, softer couch and some comfy recliners or the like. Overall I would not stay here again unless we were in a pinch.

Perfect getaway

We loved our time at this super clean home in a great location. We rented bikes for the week and were able to walk and bike everywhere we wanted to go. Beaches, restaurants and shops only a short distance away. The house was stocked with all the basics, even though we ended up eating out the whole time. The beds were super comfy and the modern showers were great. Lots of room to relax and play card games at night. We also enjoyed the hot tub almost every night. When we contacted our host with questions, we had immediate responses.We would highly recommend this house and location!

Great home!

We had a great week here and it was very smooth to book, check in and check out. Nice house, great pool and on the perfect part of the island. We rented bikes and didn’t drive the car once!

Would Definitely Stay Again!

We had a fantastic time. House is just as described. Newly remodeled. Plenty of room. Beds were very comfortable. We really enjoyed the pool and hot tub. We rented bikes for the 4 kids and they enjoyed being able to get all over the island. Would for sure stay here again!

We were the first to stay after the remodel

The pool and hot are beautiful. It provided the perfect place to just hang out and relax. Hunky Dory is the perfect house for couples or a small family. The property is well located with the town just a couple of blocks away, which makes it easliy walkable. The beach and the Rod & Reel Pier are all within walkable distance too. We did rent bikes to explore the island and make a quick trip to pick up fresh baked goods and Ginnny & Jane E's Cafe. We only needed to use our car to pick up groceries or to dine out.

great place to stay

We have taken a trip to Anna Maria every year for the past 5 and this was by far our favorite play to stay. Check in was easy and the home was very clean when we arrived, a must for me. The decor was fresh and bright, the furniture comfortable, and our bed was heavenly I slept so well. We spent hours in the property's outdoor pool area, very tropical and private which was so nice to have that relaxing space to unwind. The location was great, on the quieter north part of the island so we could walk in the mornings for coffee and to wander the Pine Avenue shops for local art, which is one of our stops every year. We stayed with our best friends and they enjoyed as well. We chose this home mainly because the photos looked so nice and we saw that the home was recently updated. It exceeded out expectations by leaps and bounds. We hope to return next year.
