**NOTE: Due to Hurricane Helene, Asheville and greater Western North Carolina have experienced historic damage. We are so lucky to say that the cottage was not damaged in the storm, and roads to and from are now cleared and open. Power is back (hooray- heated floors!) and cell signal/internet are restored, however, Asheville's reservoir was severely damaged. Asheville city water is undergoing lengthy repairs, for which there is no timeline. The cottage has running water, but it is not safe to drink, nor is it safe to boil and drink. That being said, we filled the hot tub using an IBC tote of potable water, and we are supplying drinking water in the kitchen and the bathroom. For all reasons above, we have dropped our nightly rates. (Updated 10/27/24)**
Whether you want to sample the 30+ local breweries, explore the Blue Ridge Parkway, or enjoy amazing restaurants and shopping in downtown Asheville, this studio cottage will be a quiet retreat for when you return.
We designed and built this cottage as a passion project. Quiet, simplistic, and elegant, we hope you will enjoy the special touches we built into the property: wall-to-wall radiant flooring, skylights, various lighting options, and a private hot tub with a mountain view.
The sleeping area is set up with a new Nectar Sleep queen bed. Spacious closet with built-in shelving is waiting when you are ready to get settled. Attached to the sleeping area is a sun-filled, full bath with a step-in shower, featuring both rainfall and standard shower heads.
There is a full laundry room with a stacked washer and dryer, laundry detergent is provided. Also available is an iron and ironing board.
Because the cottage is a studio, the living area and kitchen area lead into one another making the floor plan open and intimate. There is cable and high speed wi-fi internet.
The kitchen is spacious and contains an electric stove/oven, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, and fridge. There are an assortment of utensils and cooking equipment at your disposal. Plates, bowls, and utensils are also supplied, along with a coffee maker.
There is a small outdoor sitting area overlooking the property, accessible by the front door. A privacy fence provides some added space and seclusion, but won't keep you from seeing the wild turkeys, hawks, and deer. There is also a Solo Stove Bonfire for your use upon request. Walking around the side of the house, you will find the hot tub, which is thoroughly cleaned after every guest.
Please note:
The cottage property is semi-private, you will pass another home when you head up the private drive.
