Wrong and /or misleading ads and information
The unit was ok. Poorly stocked . The biggest issue was the lack of information and deliberate misinformation. I.e. the ads all said there was a pool..when we got the we were told the pool “had not been built yet”. There was a community pool that we could use, We were NOT told it was 4 miles away and there was a fee. The cell and internet service was horrendous and spotty at best. The cell tower “had not been built yet” We had an issue with one of the TVs and it took 3 days before I got it running. There were light switches that appeared to do nothing, when we were eventually told they ran some of the outlets. We asked how far it was from the unit to Fenway South..we have season tickets for the Red Sox Spring Training. We were told “20-30 minutes depending on traffic”. In reality, it was a minimum of 45 minutes over unlit back roads. The washing machine malfunctioned and dispensed bleach for 2 loads, ruining a sweatshirt and 2 shirts. Everything that came out if they needed to be gone over with a lint to remove the fuzzies. The light fixture in the master bedroom was missing the bottom piece. The light on the lanai was unusable as it was full of bugs.. The screen was covered with bird feces and dead bugs. We were asked to let the contractor in to replace the door in the master bath, from 12-2. That would kill the entire day, considering we were 45 minutes from anything. There was a cute pub that was shown in the picture was actually 2 miles away in the town center, Nowhere did we see the “Resort Style Amenities” the ads bragged about, The Town Center did have a great little pub . I have pictures, too. These are the lowlights.This was by far the worst vacation ever! One bright spot was the security at the front gate. Kevin always went out of his way to be friendly and helpful. Ferdinand was great too. I would NOT recommend this to anyone, and will be extremely hesitant to recommend or use VBRO again.
