Lovely Accommodation

Five night stay for local graduation and family gathering which was made all the more special by this great studio. The hosts were very helpful with local suggestions and the pastries were fabulous!

Warm cozy stay

Great quiet and clean stay. We could not get the TV to work and no WiFi but cell service was fine. Be warned the sulfur water permeates a terrible smell if you are sensitive, but bottled water was supplied so we used to brush our teeth. Host was wonderful.

Great stay

Carrie’s place was exactly as advertised. It was a nice place for us to stay with a warm bed and plenty of space. The freshly baked cookies were amazing! Will definitely stay here again when we are back in town.

Beautiful country stay

Welcomed to a beautiful comfortable and clean property and studio with my mom and son, perfect for our weekend at Alfred State. Thoughtful hosts had all the basics covered that we could possibly need, or may have forgotten. And greeted with delicious homemade cookies and pastries. Located close enough to town, but in the country away from the noise and distractions. would definitely recommend and stay again.

Beautiful surroundings

This place suited our needs just fine. We were visiting Alfred for family weekend and needed a place we could stay with our dog. The host preferred we keep our dog with us or crated if we left him, which worked for us. The place was clean, communication with host was very easy. The place is a studio with a loft (which we didn’t use) on the second floor of the garage, with the stairs inside the garage. The countryside surrounding it are very beautiful- especially now when the leaves are changing.

Gorgeous spacious studio/loft

What a lovely new spacious suite this is! All the amenities: bottled water, keurig/coffee, towels and toiletries if you’ve forgotten, and a wonderful fresh baked treat! The space is airy and invites just hanging out. The satellite tv encourages this too. I wish there were wifi, but nice to make yourself disconnect. Gorgeous green hills everywhere and a river to ramble beside if you need a walk. Would highly recommend.

My husband grew up in the area and this was a good central location so it was only a short drive to see everyone. The apartment was clean and provided everything we needed. Thank you!

Wonderful property!

We stayed at this property for a long weekend, as we were attending a family reunion in Woodhull. The studio was extremely clean and comfortable. Cozy beds and furniture, and my kids LOVED the loft. There were so many thoughtful personal touches- a basket of toiletries, waters in the fridge, soft blankets, coffee pods, etc. The area felt so safe, and my husband enjoyed walking our dog up and down the road. Carrie was very helpful and quick to respond to any questions. Excellent choice for anyone needing to stay in the Canisteo area!

I Grew Up On This Hill! Perfect Location!

Loved it! I was so happy to find it in Canisteo & at a rate that is so affordable. The location is so quiet & peaceful. When I took the dog out at night the bullfrogs were singing out back & the stars in the Canisteo Country are like none other! You have to experience looking up at the sky chocked right full, it’s nothing like what I see in my Columbus OH suburb, there are so many here! I have alot of family in the area but most have dogs which makes staying with them difficult. This was the perfect alternative. I had Aunts, Uncles, Cousins & my Dad literally within walking distance❤️ I’m going to miss my little cabin in the woods, I will have to visit again soon! Oohhh & did I mention that I woke up one morning to the smell of cookies baking downstairs??! Yum😁 Pete & Carrie were great hosts & they made sure that I had everything I needed even with the busy holiday weekend. There were many things available in the room that I did not expect & had packed myself, tbh. That was a pleasant surprise to see such a great variety of dishes & utensils, a Keurig coffeemaker with pods, garbage bags, towels & washcloths, shampoo & soap options, dish soap, salt, pepper & napkins even a Roomba to keep me and the dog entertained! The heating/ac unit was easy to operate & kept the room cool during the hot hours of the day & toasty at night. The bed was super comfy, & the plush bedcovers were like a warm hug! I had no tv time but great selection! Oh, & I was really happy with the fridge!

Great Getaway

This property is so scenic. It's quiet and beautiful and perfect. Communication with the host was amazing and she answered questions and made accommodations with no issues.
