Eingebettet in das Herz der Northwoods von Wisconsin befindet sich dieses Vier-Jahreszeiten-Chalet am Ostufer des wunderschönen Lake Metonga. Nur zwei Meilen von der Stadt Crandon und über die Straße von der neuen Wolf River Multi-Trail (Wandern, Radfahren, ATVing und Schneemobil).

Crandon ist eine charmante Stadt bietet Restaurants, Antiquitätenläden, Geschenk-und Bekleidungsgeschäfte und Historisches Museum. Sommer in Crandon bietet viele Veranstaltungen, einschließlich Kentucky Days, Kunst auf dem Platz und der weltberühmten Pinsel Run Off Road Racing. Wir sind 15 Meilen entfernt von dem 18-Loch Nicolet Country Club Golfplatz und sechs und zwanzig Meilen von Mole Lake Casino und Potawatomi Casino in Carter entfernt.

Es gibt auch eine Anlegestelle am Pier, wenn Sie Ihr eigenes Boot mitbringen. Die Tierbeobachtung ist reichlich von unserem Hängematten Deck am Wasser. Sie können den Eagles zusehen, wenn Sie nach oben fliegen, während Sie nach Fischen suchen.

Unsere Familie von Loons wird Sie bis spät in die Nacht serenaden, und wenn Sie Glück haben, können Sie einen Otter oder einen Bisamratten ausspionieren, die am Pier vorbeischwimmen. Ein Lagerfeuer, eine Partie Hufeisen und S'mores ist eine gute Möglichkeit, den Tag zu beenden.

Outstanding stay

We absolutely loved our stay at Peterson Bay Chalet. The property was beautiful and the apartment was clean and cozy. Gary the host was incredibly nice and helpful. We enjoyed using the water toys and exploring the bay and the lake. We had everything we needed and enjoyed a long relaxing weekend.

My two day vacay

I greatly enjoyed my two day vacay at this lakehouse home! The family was extremely kind and helpful! The silence away from the city was amazing. It’s a different peace of life with nature rather than loud people and loud lights. I’m thankful for the stay and the access to the fire pit and the boats and the amazing space that was offered. Great chalet , beautiful lake.

We really enjoyed our time on the lake and at the chalet. The place itself has everything you could need. The lake has kayaks , paddle boats and is good to swim in. It is a peaceful place to be!

Relaxing Getaway

Great weekend with my college buddies

Me and 4 of my friends stayed a weekend in late July. We loved the building and the architecture. The property was very nice and well kept. We swam by the dock, grilled out, played yard games, adventured around town, and had a camp fire both nights. I didn’t expect the owners to be in the property with us in a separate building, but it was never a problem. They were nice enough to set up games, kayaks, fire wood and other lake amenities for us. Super nice and seemed like fun people. Overall a spectacular weekend.

Can't wait to go back!!

The stay at the Chalet on Lake Metonga was perfect!! I couldn't have asked for a better weekend getaway spot. The accommodations were clean, spacious and provided a great outdoor eating area for my meals. The views were beautiful whether sitting at the dock or swinging in the hammock. The hosts were gracious and provided me with privacy during my stay but were available to answer any questions or offer suggestions for places to eat and things to do. I will definitely be back!

A beautiful lakeside getaway

We loved the Mueller's stone cottage on Lake Metonga. The architecture was unique and it was set back from the their home so we really felt like it' was our own home away from home. Chris and Gary are gracious hosts who encouraged our use of their dock and all their water toys including their kayaks and canoe. We definitely plan to return.

Amazing Cabin!

From the second we drove up we knew this place was going to be amazing! The owner's we're so welcoming and every detail about this property was meticulously taken care of from the yard to the interior on the Chalet. We loved every detail they put into this place. Can not wait to come back again. If you guys decide to rent out in late January or early February we'd love to bring to boys up for a weekend of snowmobiling :) Thank you for sharing your place wit us!

Wonderful Stay

Chris and Gary had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The place was impeccably clean, our kiddos loved the paddle boat and the row boat. They had tons of outside toys and a swing set. The location is also just a quick bike ride from the county beach which was nice and shallow and easy to enjoy with young kids. We loved our 'vacation'. Is it ever a vacation with little kids? :)

Christine and Garry were very nice on arrival. Gerry showed us the property and let us use the whole property as if it were our own. On Saturday it did rain but Garry had hopes that we would catch some fish, he pointed us in the direction of where all the fish would be. after about 2 hours of no fish and 5 hrs of rain, we ended up catching our limit of crappies. Garry was very generous and lent us his fillet knives to clean our catch and provided his very cool frying saucer to cook our fish. over all the place was magnificent and the host was the greatest.

Wonderful Wood

Beautiful construction. the woodwork is amazing. It is a open concept lay out. there are walls but no celling on any of the rooms. Including the rest room. There is also no curtains on the windows. Lovely property but you are not right on the lake. There are also several animal mounts throughout chalet. So, it might not be for everyone. Overall, we had a wonderful time.

Beautiful & Unusual Architecture

This is a really nice lake home; very comfortable and clean. The owners are extremely accommodating, flexible, and considerate - with great senses of humor to boot! We appreciated everything there was available to try to keep two loud and lively toddlers busy (and it was Labrador friendly!). The paths on the private acreage and the public bike trail across the street were great resources; it would be wonderful in the winter for X-Country skiing or snowshoeing; the lake & dock are just steps from the front door. The living room and kitchen/dining area were much bigger than I expected. We had a very nice time at this home!

Peaceful Family Getaway

We usually do theme parks and big cities for our family vacation, so this year we decided to do something different. We chose Peterson Bay Chalet for our first "Unplugged Week," and it was perfect in every way. The kids didn't miss their devices at all, and they declared it our best vacation family vacation ever (and that includes a week at Disney World)! We had a wonderful week full of memories, all for the price of a couple of days at a noisy theme park. Our first full day was rainy, so we traveled to the Three Lakes Winery and Eagle River to do some shopping. That night, we used the cloth napkins, placemats, and candles that we found in the kitchen and cooked ourselves a "fancy" spaghetti dinner. The kids got a big kick out of it! The rest of the week was beautiful, so we fished, swam, and kayaked from morning to night. We loved having access to the kayaks, paddle boat, paddle board, and row boat. The water was fairly clear and the kids swam right off the dock. Our son loves fishing, and he spent every morning and evening fishing from the dock and would take a break for swimming and boating in the afternoons when the fish weren't biting. I'm not into camping or "roughing it", so I was relieved to find the cabin itself was beautiful, clean, and stocked with everything we needed. Gary & Chris were great hosts, offering just the right mix of hospitality and privacy. We enjoyed a peaceful pontoon ride with them on our last night, spotting eagles and hearing their Lake Metonga stories. We can't wait to come back!

Shared yard and firepit as well as Mice

When we showed up we were instantly greeted by the owner. He showed us around the property. It turns out that you share the yard and firepit with the owners. The firepit is right outside their back door and you can see into their home. They did leave for the day and evening on Saturday but it still felt uncomfortable for us. The cottage is upstairs above the garage. This is fine for most people but my mother has COPD and can't do stairs very well so that wasn't ideal. None of the rooms are really private as the ceiling is open throughout, bedrooms and bathroom included. This is fine but it would have been nice to have this item and the shared yard and firepit disclosed in the property description. There were also mice. I understand that this is the Northwoods but when you have fresh mice droppings on the kitchen table between breakfast and lunch it sure tells me there is a problem. I have stayed in many cottages throughout Wisconsin and never had this happen. There is a mouse trap under the one cupboard in the kitchen but it looks like it hasn't been maintained (rat poison/bait) in a long time. They also store garbage in the garage where the cottage is built on top of so that may also help the problem.

Wonderful property on a lake.

Great experience in the second floor of a private home. The house had a north woods, hunting lodge feel to it. Full kitchen and an open concept with inside walls in the bedrooms and bathroom unattached to the ceiling. The interior was all wood and stone and was warm, comfortable and welcoming. The 2nd floor outdoor deck was available from a door in the kitchen and we had our morning coffee there on the comfortable chairs and table. We kayaked and enjoyed the paddle boat on the beautiful lake as an eagle flew overhead. Property owner is in another house on the property and they were friendly and helpful. Extremely happy with our stay.

Very relaxing

Great experience enjoying the lake! Hosts were accessible and friendly. We made great use of kayaks and paddle boat. Crandon is cute little town close by.
