Das schwer bewaldete Grundstück bietet die Privatsphäre einer abgelegenen Hütte, aber Sie sind nur 5 Minuten zu Fuß oder Ski vom Sessellift.

Egal, ob Sie sich nach einem langen Skitag oder einem kühlen Sommerabend erhitzen, das Holzfußboden und der Holzkamin machen dieses Chalet zu einem gemütlichen Rückzugsort.
Diese Hütte ist nicht nur gemütlich, sondern bietet genug Platz für zwei Familien.

Es gibt ein geräumiges Deck, um große Versammlungen unterzubringen, oder es ist ein großartiger Ort, um zu sitzen, zu entspannen und den Geruch von Pinien und die natürliche Schönheit der Berge zu genießen.

Dies ist ein perfekter Ort zum Skifahren, Schneemobilfahren, Radfahren, Wandern und Reiten ATVs.

Die Pinecone-Hütte verfügt über einen Holzkamin und eine voll ausgestattete Küche mit einer Mikrowelle und einer Kaffeekanne. Es gibt zwei Badezimmer, eines mit Dusche und das andere mit Dusche / Badewanne. Es gibt drei Schlafzimmer, ein Queensize-Bett im Erdgeschoss, ein Kingsize-Bett mit einem Rollbett im Obergeschoss und eine Königin und ein Doppelbett im Obergeschoss. Sat-TV mit einem DVD-Player ist vorhanden. Es gibt kein Telefon in der Kabine, aber es gibt einen ausgezeichneten Handyempfang. Sie werden auf 6500 Fuß Höhe sein! Abends wird es kühl, so dass keine Klimaanlage am Berg benötigt wird.
Die Pinecone Cabin liegt 4 Meilen vom Mickelson Bike Trail entfernt. Die Kabine ist auch eine kurze 9 Meilen zu historischen Deadwood und Deadwood Gambling Casinos und 10 Meilen zum schönen Spearfish Canyon Scenic Byway (Cheyenne Crossing). Auch in der Nähe des Mount Rushmore National Memorial, des Crazy Horse Memorial, des Custer State Parks, des Presidents Park und des Jewel Cave National Monument.

Great House, Horrible Yard

When we arrived we thought we were at the wrong address. The yard had grass and weeds knee high all around the property. Called the owner and she immediately told us we were welcome to find another place to stay. She was rude and acted like we were acting completely unacceptable for asking as to the condition of the yard. Long story short she kept telling us we could get our money back but we would be out the VRBO fees and we could go somewhere else. We decided to stay, just asked if she could get someone to come mow the lawn. She did but only the front was mowed. She offered to buy us dinner but that didn't work out for the time she suggested so, no dinner. The house was comfortable and had what we needed, except there were some broken windows we couldn't open. Maybe the yard thing wasn't a big deal but if we had had little ones with us there was no way they could have played outside. Overall it was an ok stay but we will not be booking with this homeowner again. The rudeness was more than enough for me.

Ideal for bike rally!

The best vacation is one where you don’t have to contact the host because you have everything you need. This was that vacation. Cindy’s house was perfect for us and our friends for Sturgis motorcycle rally week. It was a convenient location to all that we wanted to see and do. The house had everything we needed and more. We spent some evenings on the deck with the nice cool evenings. Would definitely stay there again!

We stayed at the pinecone cabin while on our first visit to SD. The house was clean and had all the amenities we needed/wanted. Would definitely book again if we traveled back to the area.

Perfect little cabin

We stayed here for 3 nights while attending an archery event at the ski hill. The place was very clean, and had plenty of room for the 5 of us. It was easy to get back and forth to the ski area with just a short walk. Would stay here again!

Great Cabin in the woods!

We had 6 Adults and 1 Teenager and stayed here two nights. We had plenty of room and truly enjoyed the mountain ski hill vibe this cabin gives! The pantry was fully stocked and made cooking so easy! We had plenty of space to not be on top of each other also! Very close to Deadwood and all that it has to offer and only a hour or so drive to Mount Rushmore! Thank you again for allowing us to stay!

Cabin in the woods

My family enjoyed our stay at the Pine Cone Cabin. The cabin was very welcoming and immaculately clean! The location was beautiful and a short drive into town to the local grocery store. It was a perfect location to visit all the surrounding areas such as Devils Tower, Mount Rushmore, Spearfish, and Deadwood. Cindy was a great host and was on point with communication!

Nice cabin

The cabin is clean and plenty of space for our group of four adult women. It was fairly easy to find, although not much parking. I was glad we only had one vehicle. We enjoyed our stay.

Convenient, comfortable, cozy

We loved the location of this property. It is an established home in the Terry Peak community that has many new homes going in. Great for ski or ATV or just other tourism between Sturgis and SW South Dakota. We loved the Lead/Deadwood area. My only hope would be that the homeowner would refurbish the deck as it was well worn with no outside seating, and a back patio or firepit area would be lovely in the future. Also - since both bathrooms are downstairs, you must go down from upstairs in the middle of the night and the stairs are very dark. Some sort of nightlight system would be a great idea. We ended up leaving a small living room lamp on in the night to be able to see. Bedrooms were large and comfortable, the kitchen well stocked, and the living room comfy after a long day touring the area.

This cabin was perfect for our family get away! It was clean, cozy and in perfect location to hit the slopes. The beds were comfy, all the supplies we would need during our stay was there. Cindy responded to questions right away and was very accommodating. We will definitely stay at this property again!!

We were a busy family of five who love the mountains. When the kids were young, we spent most of our free time during the winter months at the cabin! We enjoy the winter sports. All of the kids started skiing at Terry Peak! Now as adults we would love their future kids to learn to ski at the same place!

We have started fly fishing and plan to start spending time riding bicycles throughout the Black Hills to really take in the natural beauty of the area.

We decided to purchase a cabin in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota which allows us to use the cabin, when we have time, and share it with friends and family. We loved the chalet look and coziness of this cabin! We started working on the interior in 2009 when we bought the cabin. Life was busy with three active kids and the cabin functionality worked well.

The spring of 2022 we started redoing more of the interior and the biggest change was fall of 2024 with changing the siding, replacing the deck and adding a porch! Our cabin has a new look with increased privacy while maintaining the cozy chalet feeling.

We enjoy renting our cabin and hearing how it was 'perfect' for someone else's vacation! It was perfect stay for the 13th birthday! A perfect place for family to stay while traveling the Black Hills!

We have a 'cabin book' with before and after pictures as well as information about the area.

Our book also allows visitors to see where other people have traveled in the Black Hills to give you more ideas! We have had people from all over the United States as well as some International travelers!

We love our cabin and hope you love it as much as us!

We love the quiet mountain atmosphere. We enjoy cool mornings sitting in front of the fireplace with a cup of coffee, being on the deck or hanging out on the porch. Going for a walk, catching a glimpse of deer passing through the development, and listening to the wind go through the pine trees is heavenly. Being at the cabin is truly a vacation! Home away from home ❤️
