Our fully remodeled Kangaroo Lakefront vacation home is located on a private road, just adjacent to the historic Kangaroo Lake causeway. Nestled among the reeds and mature trees on Kangaroo Lake's shoreline, and surrounded by calming waters and gorgeous lake views, Chicory Lake House is the perfect Door County retreat. Wake up to direct views of the lake and spend evenings cozying up to a roaring lakeside bonfire. Watch the Mergansers swim directly off the lakeside deck and patio, fish from the pier, or explore the lake on the provided kayaks and paddle boards. Walk across the road to enjoy a local favorite - Coyote Roadhouse, or take the short drive to all the towns that make Door County a world-class vacation destination. With all three bedrooms on one level, a gas fireplace, a large yard for outdoor games, and a game room complete with bumper pool and shuffleboard, Chicory Lake House is the perfect place to make memories for all ages and seasons.

Our family stays in multiple vacation rentals a year, and we know firsthand how the cleanliness of a rental can make or break your vacation. Unlike most vacation rentals, at Chicory Lake House, we wash/change out all duvet covers, living room throw blankets, and living room throw pillow covers between every guest, in addition to all the typical bed sheets and pillowcases. We take cleaning very seriously and we don't cut corners. Our whole-home process is extremely extensive because we know that your relaxation and enjoyment depend on it. Our home is family-managed and cared for because we believe you deserve the highest level of guest experience, cleanliness, and peace of mind during your vacation.
OUR HOME:
•Located directly on Kangaroo Lake – one of the most highly sought-after locations in Door County.
•Six guests maximum (including children).
•Three bedrooms (Queen, Queen, Two Twins)
•Large dining table with seating for six guests with additional breakfast bar seating.
•Two full baths (Our primary ensuite bath has a luxury shower and double vanity. The full bath in the hallway has a shower over tub combination.)
•Lakeside game room with glass overhead door for easy indoor/outdoor recreation.
•Indoor gas fireplace
•Central heating and air conditioning (electric baseboard heat only in game room)
•Washer and dryer (free)
•Five Roku smart TVs (One in each bedroom, one in the living room, and one in the game room) Complimentary DirectTV streaming app for live, local television "cable channels," and sports
•Wi-Fi, Strong enough to support Zoom meetings (due to the rural nature of Door County, Wi-Fi and cell phone coverage and service can vary)

•Electric Vehicle Charging: NEMA 14-50 240V outlet - capable of Level 2 charging with the appropriate adapter- adapter NOT provided.

SLEEPING ACCOMMODATIONS:
•Primary Lakeside Bedroom: You'll love the lakeside primary bedroom with a queen-sized bed, Roku TV, and an ensuite bathroom. This bedroom has a patio slider allowing you to access the lakeside deck to drink your morning coffee or have an evening glass of wine. Our fully remodeled ensuite bath has dual vanities and a luxurious walk-in shower with a rain head, classic, and handheld shower heads.
•Second Lakeside Bedroom: Enjoy the second lakeside bedroom with a queen bed, room-darkening shades, a closet, and a Roku TV.
•Twin Bedroom: The small, but adorable, "twin room" has two twin beds, room-darkening shades, a closet, and a Roku TV.
BATHROOMS:
•Our primary ensuite full bathroom has a dual vanity and luxurious, tiled walk-in shower with a classic, handheld and rain showerheads. Bath towels and a hair dryer are provided.
•The newly remodeled hall bathroom has a modern tub/shower combination and a single vanity. Full-sized laundry machines are also found in the hall bathroom.
KITCHEN AMENITIES:
Our modern kitchen is fully equipped and open to the main living space. Provided amenities include:
•Refrigerator/Freezer with ice maker.
•Microwave, flat-top electric stove, dishwasher, oven, toaster, crock pot, and blender.
•Traditional coffee maker/Keurig combination, coffee bean grinder, and tea kettle.
•Cookware, dishes, utensils, glassware, wine glasses, and additional barware.
•Kitchen towels, hot pads, baking sheets, and BBQ utensils.

THE GREAT OUTDOORS:
•Chicory Lake House is a waterfront property on Kangaroo Lake located directly adjacent to the Kangaroo Lake causeway.
•Private (non-shared) lake access
•Pier (4-5 feet deep at the end of the dock. Ladder and bench on the pier), typically installed from late May through mid-October (weather dependent.)
•Large bonfire pit with six Adirondack chairs and complimentary firewood (two bundles).
•Lakeside Trex deck and flagstone patio
•Patio table with six chairs (extras available onsite)
•Gas grill with extra propane provided
•Two lounge chairs & pads
•Kayaks provided (9): six adult-sized and three youth-sized
•Paddle boards provided (3): Two adult-sized and one youth-sized.
•Access to outdoor shed, which contains: Life jackets, outdoor games & activities - Corn hole, Ladder golf, Football, Frisbee, 2 fishing poles with a small tackle box, and marshmallow forks.

Please read our entire listing, including our house rules. Our standard check-in time is 4 pm, and standard check-out is 10 am. We require a signed rental agreement and a $300 credit card security deposit hold, which is processed by the host for all bookings. The rental agreement and security deposit hold must be completed within 48 hours of booking (within 24 hours for last-minute bookings) to finalize reservations and prevent cancellation. The name used to book the reservation must match that on the credit card and the signed rental agreement. Our home is in a quiet community with neighbors and is geared towards quiet family vacations. We cannot accommodate bachelor or bachelorette parties, reunions, or other large gatherings. Our home is located directly adjacent to the historic Kangaroo Lake Causeway and across from a local favorite restaurant, Coyote Roadhouse. Like many locations on our narrow peninsula, guests should expect some road noise. The sounds of outdoor dining may also be heard when staying at our home. Many of our guests enjoy our proximity to both the causeway and this local restaurant for dining and recreating on the lake. Guests planning to bring a boat must obtain permission before booking. No jet skis allowed. Furniture may change when compared to the photos, as we consistently attempt to maintain the comfort, quality, and cleanliness of our home's furnishings.
