I cherish people of all races, religions (or none), sexual identities, nationalities, whatever make you unique is celebrated here! This is a remote property, across the road from Arapahoe National Forest, 5 miles to Golden Gate Canyon State Park and the historic towns of Black Hawk and Central City where you can explore and discover history or visit numerous casinos. . Plenty of interest for birders and many areas for hiking and mountain and/or road biking. You will enjoy a quiet and beautiful area surrounded by an aspen meadow, next to a small pond where you may see moose, deer, coyotes, bear and other wildlife. Enjoy the night sky and do some star gazing. The nearest ski area, Eldora, is approximately 25 minutes away. Loveland Ski Area and Winter Park are about1 hour away. This apartment is quiet, spacious and very well stocked. Environmentally conscious owner lives upstairs. All soaps are cruelty-free and in refillable containers, recycled toilet paper and paper towels, cloth napkins, LED lighting, repurposed kitchen countertops are made from the floors of train cars. Recycling container provided and recycling is encouraged. Children and dogs are always welcome and I will provide toys and books for young children. Also included are pet necessities, such as bowls and blankets. You will find organic pet treats on arrival. Pet and child care are available for additional cost if arrangements are made in advance. I will work to make sure you have a wonderful stay! Pet waste MUST be picked up. Compostable poop bags and a special trash can for such are provided. Enjoy the gas firepit with family and friends. Want an extra special dinner? I can hook you up with a private chef to assemble the meal of your dreams. Advance notice and reservations required. Please come and visit - no one has been disappointed!

A wonderful stay

Our stay at the Meandering Moose was fantastic. The place was immaculate, and the host was so helpful in providing us with information about local attractions. We were sorry to have to leave at the end of our stay.

Weekend getaway to Colorado - great spot!

Spontaneous weekend get away to do some activities in Colorado with my wife and another couple. This property was spacious, very clean, and had everything we needed. You could tell the host put in a lot of effort to make our stay a seamless experience. I would definitely come back here!!!!!

Loved It!

Meandering Moose stay was exquisite, clean & comfy. Enjoyed the daybed near a comfy couch in living area very much so that hubby n' I could both stretch out to watch TV together in evenings. Celia who lives upstairs is a fabulous host & can tell that she'd interact as much or little as you'd prefer. We found her wonderful and hung out a bit but you won't even know she's there if prefer it that way. Nearby town is charming, good food, quaint shops & many great places to gamble are not far away. I do need to say that being from Hawaii, we had problems with altitude adjustment but experiencing snow, critters & the beauty of CO made it worth seeing the beauty in this state. Highly recommend Celia's place & being hosts ourselves in Hi, this 5* review is deserved. Aloha. Jahnys n' Stan

Girls getaway!

This place is very comfortable & pretty with wonderful scenery. The host is fabulous… she really goes the extra mile to make sure the guests are comfortable and taken care of! The place is very clean. We had a great weekend!!! & it’s easy to find for something so high up in the mountains…would recommend it to anyone traveling, there’s plenty of room for 4 to 6 or even more!

Amazing! Great Host, great place, great views

My family and I had a wonderful time staying here. The home is located in a great spot with beautiful views and lots of wildlife. Celia is very accommodating and went above and beyond to make the home comfortable and clean. We had more than enough of what we needed, appreciated the organic and earth friendly products, and enjoyed every detail Celia put into her property making it an ideal spot for making family memories! Thanks again!

Spacious apartment and wonderful host

The apt is in a beautiful location and was more than enough space for four adults and a dog. Celia is an amazing host, very thoughtful and goes out of her way to make sure that we were comfortable and happy. She was very gracious when our dog kept barking and scratching when he was alone and even made sure he was okay while respecting the privacy of the apt. I highly recommend the apt and host!

Amazing place with the perfect hostess

Celia the hostess was amazing and has the place perfectly decorated and accessorized. I spent two one week stays here and would come back in a second. It's a beautiful rural place and is very comfortable. I loved the wood burning stove each night and she did a great job of keeping me supplied with wood. I was also working remotely and had great internet and cell service. (I have AT&T) as a side note, there is a pond and I did bring my skates and enjoyed some outdoor skating. Skiing was also reasonably close, I skied Eldora, a local hill-decent and it was only 30 minutes away. Arapahoe Basin-1 hour and Winter Park-1hr 15 minutes. Both great ski areas. Loved the entire experience! I would highly recommend staying here!

I am new to hosting, just started in November, 2022. It has been my dream to be able to open up a short-term rental in the mountains and I sincerely want your stay to be wonderful! I am available for any questions, concerns, problems. I'd love to get to know you - this is my favorite part of hosting! If you prefer to just keep to yourselves, that's OK, too! Whatever you prefer.

This place is special! I have tried to make Meandering Moose Apartment as comfortable as possible and stock it for everything you might need. There is plenty of room to stretch out and relax. If you are concerned about environmental impacts, I do my best to minimize the carbon footprint of my business. One focus in my life is to live more responsibly and sustainably and I carry that focus to Meandering Moose. All soaps and lotion are cruelty-free and are in refillable containers. Sheets and towels are 100% cotton or bamboo and I air-dry sheets on racks and air-dry towels on racks after a brief tumble in the dryer to soften them up. This is a bit more work, but so much less energy is consumed! Recycled TP is provided. I use laundry sheets vs pods or liquid detergent and try to keep chemicals to a minimum. The heat is kept low, you'll want to bring some warm clothes. Blankets, portable heaters, and a wood stove are available, if needed. Meander on over and check this place out!

The property sits in a meadow surrounded by aspen trees. During some times of the year, you may view wildlife often. Never guaranteed, of course! This place is quiet and welcoming. Children and pets are welcome and I will even take care of them for an hourly charge. EV charging is available for an extra fee.
