Perched on 2 acres of riverfront property with over 200 feet of private shoreline on river rapids, Peaceful River has 2 comfortable king, and 2 twin beds and furnishings, a large and well-appointed and updated kitchen, a large screened-in porch, 2 gorgeous baths, and a separate riverside hot tub area are yours to enjoy. Wildlife is abundant, with many migrating birds and an occasional eagle over flight.

"The only regret we had when leaving, was not booking to stay for longer" - a recent PRR guest. We take great pride in making sure that our guests feel comfortable, relaxed, and have everything they need during their stay at the river retreat.

This beautiful cabin is situated right on the beautiful Shenandoah River - private river access right in the backyard! Whether you are looking to just relax by the river by the fire, listening to the river in the hot tub, or looking to be active and use the provided kayaks or canoes to float the river, or enjoy the many nearby hikes - the Peaceful River Retreat has something for everyone! Featuring 3 bedrooms (2 king beds, 2 double beds, and couch - all very comfortable!), 2 luxury bathrooms, updated gourmet kitchen, and a lovely screened porch with bench swing (perfect for enjoying river views/sounds on those beautiful mornings and evenings) - this retreat has it all! The hot tub is located steps away from the main house in the spa, situated right by the river. It is perfect for relaxing after a long day enjoying the mountains and trails, or warming up as you listen to the river stream and nature. Imagine being able to see endless amount of stars in the sky with no distractions. The river retreat allows you to be very distant from others, unplug, and stretch out. Dogs are welcome! They will surely enjoy running around in the open green space and splashing around in the river. Relax by the fire pit and make some s'mores (chairs provided). Looking for some friendly competition? Enjoy countless board games and corn hole! The inside fireplace will warm up those chilly nights. Large dining table for family meals, and grill is available for use. Relax and enjoy your morning coffee, evening beverage, or meals on the spacious screened porch overlooking the river. Also, check out the many local hiking trails, biking trails, caverns, wineries, dining options, and downtown Luray is just 15 minutes away! *We are dog friendly - $30 per dog, per day. Plenty of room for them to run around and hang with you!
*This is not a flat fee booking. $25 / guest per day after 4 guests.
*the internet is the best connection we can currently get although it is slower, we also have dish TV so at times if a storm comes there is potential for it to shortly go out. Just want to be transparent and set expectations. It is a getaway so a lot of people enjoy disconnecting at the river house!
