Moondance Cabin near Red River Gorge - Hot Tub

Welcome to Moondance Cabin, your new favorite cabin located just outside the Red River Gorge in Daniel Boone National Forest. This cabin was just built in 2021 and includes all the modern amenities of home, with a beautiful view included. This cabin features an open and bright kitchen and living room, with vaulted ceiling and large windows showing off the expansive valley. The living room also has a gas fireplace, cozy couch and love seat and plenty of additional seating. There are 2 bedrooms, one offers a king-size bed, and the other bedroom includes a queen-size bed, and a bunk bed with two queen sized beds.
This layout offers privacy for couples and plenty of space for families. You will never get bored when you are staying at Moondance cabin! This cabin offers cornhole, horseshoes, and a fire pit for smores. For rainy days, there are plenty of board games, puzzles, cards, and all the streaming services you can watch.
The back deck area is completely covered and has an outdoor dining area with seating for 6. The hot tub overlooks the valley and offers a wonderful view of the valley. The screened-in porch is the perfect place to relax and read or enjoy your morning coffee. Bring your favorite steak to grill on the outdoor charcoal grill and enjoy dinner al fresco on the lower deck while watching an exciting cornhole match.
Moondance cabin is located outside Frenchburg, Kentucky, in the Indian Creek resort, just a short, beautiful drive from Red River Gorge hiking trails, Natural Bridge State Park, and Cave Run Lake. Note - Ring doorbell/cam on the exterior front door.

Very relaxing

My wife and I spent our anniversary weekend here. The cabin is so nice and the covered deck was perfect. From the scenery to the peacefulness. We fully intend on returning at a later time to do some hiking and more relaxing in the hotbtub while enjoying watching the stars at night.

Cabin and hiking in DBNF

We are two couples that love to hike and enjoy cabin life which we did here for a seven night stay. The cabin is pretty new, with quality construction and furnishings. We found the cabin very clean, with everything we needed and everything works. We cooked two meals a day and ate inside or out on the porch where we could enjoy the view and listen to the birds. The hot tub was very welcome after a day of hiking. We had a great week!

Beautiful property!

The cabin was absolutely immaculate and beautiful! We loved the outside area and all the fun activities at the cabin. The view was breathtaking and a gentleman delivers firewood for a small fee. The only drawback was it was a long drive to get anywhere, however each drive was breathtaking!

Nice cabin with plenty to do

The cabin was nice and clean with plenty of amenities and things to keep you and the family entertained. Wonderful hospitality and great communication with property owners when needed. If there is one downfall, it would be the area/neighborhood to get to the cabin. The neighborhood outside Indian creek resort was pretty trashy, seemed like you were going thru a junk yard. But once you turned off to Indian creek resort it was nice.

Sister in law weekend

This cabin was perfect for our girls weekend. We hiked in the gorge, shopped, enjoyed the hot tub as well as relaxing in the screened in porch. I would absolutely stay here again ! Beautiful scenery . Very clean and super comfortable. I. Even left behind an article of clothing and the owner was nice enough to mail it to me. Thank you!

Beautiful view off the back porch

It is a perfect cabin for 2 couples. Everything we need was supplied. We enjoyed the gas fireplace. The screened in back porch was perfect. Looking out to the fall colors off the back porch was beautiful. The lower back porch was also fun. We would stay in this cabin again.

The best choice

We planned a family vacation and looked at at least 50 cabins. We decided to give Moondance a shot, it was an amazing choice! We took our 3 young children and it was perfect for all 5 of us! The view is amazing, the drive to the property is nice, it had EVERYTHING you’d need. Just bring clothes & food! A full stocked kitchen (pots, pans, plates, kids plates, spices, coffee filters, etc), many towels, outdoor activities & even soap for the dishwasher & washing machine! 2 bedrooms are perfect with a master bedroom, another room with a large bed + bunk bed! The open floor plan is perfect for everyone to spend time together but not be cramped. It extends onto the beautiful patio! We were fortunate to mostly miss big season but the screened in porch is a huge plus! The hot tub was very clean, easy to use and had amazing views all day long! Full privacy, no other visible cabins nearby and the back of the house/ porch (where we spent all our time) is out of view from the road (extremely minimal traffic, just people going to their cabins down the road). We really loved this cabin, we can’t wait to plan another trip!

Fabulous girls getaway

I stayed at Moondance with 4 of my friends. The cabin was located in a secluded setting with beautiful views. The location was a close enough drive to all of our desired hiking locations. The cabin was lovely and clean and fit all of us perfectly. The kitchen had everything we needed to make dinner and we really enjoyed eating on the back porch and getting in the hot tub. Communication with the host was clear and quick. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Amazing stay! Clean, comfortable and BEAUTIFUL!

We had an amazing stay at this cottage. It is exactly like the description. My 7 year old son said he never wanted to leave. The cabin is impeccably clean. You have everything you need to cook. We had so much fun playing the ring game down on the lower porch and counting stars from the hot tub. The view is gorgeous. Yes, it is a little bit of a drive to get to the gorge, but it’s SO worth it. The drive is stunning and kind of fun! I looked forward to it! You will go through NADA tunnel, which is pretty cool. Communication was excellent and the directions to get there were exact. We definitely plan to visit again. I give this a 10/10!

Wonderful!

We had the best weekend! The cabin was perfect for us, plenty of room, everything was so clean and decorated beautifully. Everything was just as the description depicted. I loved the screened porch and the hot tub! We sat by a fire the first night and played corn hole, enjoyed the hot tub and then watched a movie. We explored several places all the next day, came back and got in the hot tub again. There was absolutely nothing bad about anything. My only wish would be that we could have stayed a couple more nights!

Loved Moondance

We really enjoyed our stay at Moondance Cabin. It was immaculate and very comfortable. We loved the view off the back deck, the hot tub and the screened in porch. We had a nice fire, grilled out, and played games. Loved the ride to the Natural Bridge park and some of the other trails. The kitchen had everything we needed. No complaints at all!

Best screened in porch with breathtaking view

My family of 4 had a great time during our 3 night stay at Moondance. The cabin is very clean, well stocked and beautifully decorated. My favorite space was the screened in porch, my husband's was the fire pit and the kids was the hot tub. The views are breathtaking...sunrise, mid day and sunset. We loved watchng the fog roll over the peaks and valleys.Truly mesmerizing! I did not want to leave 💚 The only negative is that Moondance is 50-70 minutes away from the best hiking areas in RRG and Natural Bridge. If you don't mind the drive, I highly recommend Moondance cabin!

Relaxing and Well-Stocked

This is a great place for couples, or for a small family/group. The cabin is surrounded by woods providing privacy, and a relaxing view. There are plenty of leisure activities provided, such as games and a fire pit. The cabin was clean, and well-stocked with everyday necessities. The owner is quick to respond to any needs. We enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful clean remote

Beautiful cabin, super clean, nice for each bedroom to have their own bathroom and to have the laundry. We had everything we needed to make meals and relax. It was further from the gorge than we had realized but being far out might be good for many. Definitely felt like you were really isolated and private, although there were other properties just down the road. Could have more extra blankets as the AC worked really well. Overall excellent stay and we’d come again.
