You will enjoy the toot toot of the train as it passes! We are walking distance to Shadows On The Teche, Main Street and the Bayou Teche! Walk one of the oldest cemetery's in New Iberia, located directly behind us!

Beautiful home

Amazing home. Had a hard time figuring out which rooms to hang out in the most. Love the trains at night. Excellent host, very thoughtful. The accomodations were wunderbar!

One week stay

I came to town for work for a week and decided to stay here instead of a hotel. The house was well stocked, especially the kitchen. An intresting place to stay. Nice and clean and good communicating from the owners. The train line out the back is a little loud, but that would be the case staying anywhere in town. Really enjoyed the stay and would go back.

Lovely Chateau

This was my second time staying here and it is absolutely beautiful! If you love all things art, vintage, and history, you’ll love this home. The home is always spotless. The kitchen is stocked for every need and the towels are stocked for plenty of showers! Although we didn’t use it, the fire pit was ready for use as well!

Excellent Property

We reserved this property for our friends that were going through a difficult time. They informed us that they really enjoyed the solitude and the comfort of the upstairs beds. Based on their experience I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a quaint getaway.

Quirky, colorful, and cozy with luxury touches

This was my second stay here and it was even better than I remembered. Our group loved discovering all the unique decorative details. The kitchen and laundry facilities remain the best I have ever found at a vacation rental - we had everything we needed to cook homemade meals. Doug quickly responded to any questions or needs. If you're traveling to New Iberia with your family or a group of friends I highly recommended this rental.

Perfect Accommodation for our Family

This house was perfect for our family of five adults. Very unique rooms with comfy beds and soft linens. Lots of little extras that you don’t see from other owners. The back yard has a huge privacy fence, a nice fire pit, even tiki torches- all combined it made for perfect evenings sitting outside visiting. We hope this is available on our next visit to New Iberia. :)

Best VRBO I have stayed in!

This house is gorgeous, and so cozy for a trip with my spouse and parents. Everything about the house and decore was charming and inviting. New Iberia is a great central location to explore South Louisiana, and our favorite thing to do after a day of exploring was sit around the fire in the living room. The beds were plush and comfortable, and location in downtown was perfect. We will absolutely stay here again and highly recommend the property.

Wonderful house for a long weekend

This house is beautiful and very clean. The beds were super comfy and the sheets were luxurious. The kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked in anything was forgotten. It was a cross between Victorian and modern with all the modern updates to make it comfy. I would definitely stay again.

Stayed at this property for the second time this year. I’m born and raised in the area and had to come down for my parent’s 48th wedding anniversary. Experience New Iberia

Worth every penny!

This chateau is unlike anything I’ve ever stayed in. From the complimentary snacks and candy to all the brand new appliances including huge washer and dryer. The decor is cultural and abundant. My kids felt like royalty in their ‘castle’. The hosts were so kind—cannot wait to rent again!!

Amazing!!! This little house is one of New Iberia’s hidden gems. The owners definitely put their heart and soul into decorating, no corner was left undone. The kitchen was my favorite!! Enjoyed taking in all the updates plus designer/antique touches. Located close to downtown

We enjoyed our long weekend. Loved taking in all of the designer and antique touches. Great cooling system during hot weather this summer. Well stocked kitchen with basic items, snacks and specialty ice cubes. Towels and linens smelled so fresh. Very clean house. Restaurants, shopping and art gallery nearby. No issues with management.

Lovely home

We all thoroughly enjoyed staying here. There are a few “hallelujah steps” - lol - you forget they’re there & then, Hallelujah!! Hahaha! It is in a great locale to walk to the bayou & other places of interest in the downtown area of New Iberia. The furnishings were comfortable & luxurious. The kitchen amenities are fabulous! Only complaint was the TP; you should provide your own.

A gem of a place to stay in New Iberia!

If you’re thinking of staying here, please don’t hesitate! The place is gorgeous and the hosts are amazing. I’m originally from New Iberia but I’ve lived out of the state for many years. I had to come in town for an engagement so I booked this stay. It’s hands down been one of the best rentals that I’ve ever booked. The place is beautiful and cozy. And the location is perfect. The owners are easily accessible. From the time I booked my stay until I was leaving, they responded to my messages quickly and checked in on me as well. I hated leaving. I will definitely stay here again.

Amazing Step back in Time

The restored home is reminiscent of a simpler time with nothing missed in the details! From the moment you open the door you are transported to another time and everything feels thoughtful and important. The coziness of each room is highlighted by the antiques, the exquisite wallpaper and all the fine details including the linens, towels, and amenities of home. The experience is truly 6 stars! Be sure and bring your ear plugs for the toot toot train nightly but again it’s a gentile step back in time and everything moves a little more slowly. Highly recommend and would love to visit again! Close proximity to quaint Main Street, short drive to Avery Island and Rip Van Winkle Gardens. If you want 21st century chains and restaurants it’s 3 min away, but I recommend the local fare hands down!
