Eingebettet am unteren Rand der schönen Bischofs Peak, Die Villa befindet sich nur 4 Minuten von der malerischen Innenstadt von San Luis Obispo. Es ist eines der acht eigene Häuser auf einem privaten gated Ranch. Die Liebe zum Detail auf dem Grundstück machen Ihren Besuch zu einem einzigartigen Erlebnis. Verbringen Sie Zeit "Camping" im Baumhaus mit Kojen um Ästen versteckt, während ein Kamin in der Nacht leuchtet. Gehen Sie in den Felsen Raum, der seinen eigenen Kamin hat, eine Sitzecke und ein Bad mit einem Felsen Wasserfall-Dusche. Truly special experience for all the family!

The grandeur and beauty of Spanish Colonial Villa is truly exceptional! We have family reunions each year and I was not prepared for the beauty of this home and property! Several gardens and patios are exquisitely designed and manicured. Flowering vines cover the walls. The gentle sounds of the fountains place you in Old Seville! The large, heated pool (well equipped with comfortable lounges) is set against the vista of Bishop's Peak. The stunning interior also captures in architecture and decor the elegance of California's Spanish heritage. Yet, it's still a fun place for kids! Our young grandchildren loved the casual media room with a GIANT beanbag cushion and video screen, the ping-pong room and the side courtyard for basketball and skate-boarding. And, or course, the pool! My husband, on the other hand, enjoyed the fireplace by the pool and the cozy reading chair in the grand living room. Really, this house has something for everyone! The owners were most accommodating. There are also hiking trails, wineries, and San Luis Obispo's eateries nearby if you feel like parting from paradise for a few hours!

Stunningly grand

This home is stunningly grand, unique, and ultra-custom, yet casual and comfortable. It is spectacularly sited at the base of Bishop's Peak with views of the gorgeous San Luis Obispo hills in every direction. Wonderfully private - no need for any window treatments in this home. Alluring and lush landscaping lends the house to indoor-outdoor living. Access to Bishop's Peak hiking trails is "out the back door". We all enjoyed the pool, as our stay was in July. This lovely home was a perfect central gathering spot for our family (all adults, although kids of all ages would love it here) who converged from San Diego, San Francisco, and British Columbia. It is California at its most beautiful.

Felt like home the moment I walked in the door. Each room was better than the next from the wonderful kitchen to the sitting room. The outdoor areas were wonderful for reading, relaxing, and talking with friends. Loved each of the bathrooms - from the copper slipper tub to the rock waterfall shower. Really enjoyed the evenings in the Rock room with a fire in the fireplace. This is just a fantastic place to stay!

No need to leave the home!

We stayed here with a group of friends for a Cal Poly alumni reunion of our group of friends and it was absolutely amazing. From the minute we walked into the home, we felt like there was no need for us to leave the premises all weekend. You have everything you need here and the place is simply beautiful, relaxing and fun. I'd definitely recommend it!

Wonderful

You can see from the pictures how beautiful the house is. What you can't quite tell from pictures is how comfortable it is, how designed it is with tactile pleasure in mind. This is not a stage house, where everyone huddles in one corner while the rest of the space remains cold and distant. Every part of it is lived in; every surface feels solid and permanent and warm. It's a family house, "villa" or no. It accommodates you whether you spend your day away from it or within it, whether you like to run or sit still. And it could not exist without the owners and property manager, who were kind and helpful to an extreme. We made lifelong memories at this house.

Absolutely Incredible!!!

We knew going in that this home would be a great place to stay, but it completely exceeded our expectations! We were welcomed by the owner the minute that we arrived and provided with a tour of the home and property, not to mention a beautiful spread of cheese, crackers, fruit, wine and supplies for s'mores. He took great care in explaining every amazing area of the home and really demonstrated great pride in what he had built, which he should because it's one of a kind! The detail and thought that went into designing this home was quickly evident as we spent our time there. There are so many areas to escape to and enjoy and we soon realized that we should have booked a longer stay! Everything you need is at your fingertips, you literally can arrive empty handed and don't have to worry about a thing. The heated pool is perfect for spending the morning, afternoon or evening. The rock room is awesome and provides a great place to lounge, enjoy a fire and just relax to take everything in. There are sweeping views of the valley and mountains from every window and patio throughout the home and just steps from the driveway are hiking trails up to Bishop's Peak for even better views. Each room within the home is comfortable and tastefully designed with hints of different cultures that the owners have encountered throughout their travels and provide a story for each visitor to enjoy as well. The Sonos music system provides a user friendly way to create ambiance throughout the property indoors and out and is easily adjustable by zone to provide the right level of music just where you need it. We enjoyed the outdoor projector and screen for a late night movie with the kids. If you're considering a stay at this home, don't hesitate - just book it. You won't be disappointed and after the first day of your stay will be planning your next visit. It is truly a "home" to enjoy with family and friends and the owners couldn't be more welcoming. We had an amazing time and definitely plan to visit again soon!

Family Retreat During Wedding Weekend

My family needed a place to stay during a family wedding and we selected this beautiful home to encourage the family to hang out together. The setting was unbelievable, backed up against the most beautiful mountain in the area, with a swimming pool, man-cave, pool tables, in-wall acquarium. We had lots of good quality time. The kitchen was the center piece with two large islands and professional stove. We used the Santa-Maria style grill outside and had a great barbeque. The owners were very helpful and their home reflects their fun-loving personalities. The only draw back was the master bedroom didn't have any doors.

Cal Poly Graduation

Our family stayed in this magnificent home to celebrate our son's graduation from Cal Poly. It is less than five minutes from campus (you can see the campus from the yard) and shopping yet it feels like a world away. It is at the foot of Bishop's Peak with plenty of trails to explore or you can just sit outside and enjoy the beauty of the natural surroundings. The house has every amenity you can imagine including a large heated pool (with a safety cover), game room, pool table, gourmet kitchen and a Sonas music system to enjoy throughout the house and outside. We were greeted and made to feel welcome from the moment we stepped through the door with beautiful bouquets of fresh flowers in every room, a "welcome basket" and fruit plate! The pictures do not do this spectacular property justice. If it were a hotel it would be a "5 star plus"!! We highly recommend and look forward to returning one day.

We went up here for a long weekend with another family. The place is so gorgeous. The kitchen is gourmet, the living room (with pool table) is great to hang out in, the ballroom (I dont have another name for it) was unbelievable - I was ready to Salsa just walking in, and the pool area was one of our main hang outs. There is a big fire place, deck and heated lamps outside. As the night progressed we built a fire in the ROCK room. This is a room made 99% out of big rocks, this includes a bathroom with a shower. Showering in here is like showering in a waterfall. Overall - great place and a great time. I would highly recommend!

We are a family of 4 who enjoy traveling, the outdoors and our SLO life. We have designed and built our home with love and a few quirky touches that remind us of our adventures abroad. After college at Cal Poly we wanted to stay local and raise our family. Upon building our home, we decided to share it with others allowing us to embark on more adventures.

This property is unique in its location feeling as if you are a world away from hustle and bustle in the country with cows meandering on the open space, yet only 4-5 minutes from the heart of downtown San Luis. It has been a labor of love and creativity mixing functionality with ecletic tastes of our travels. When designing the property, it was our intent to make it look as it had been here forever. As we began to build, we couldn't ignore all of the beautiful surrounding outdoor views resulting in a house full of windows providing a vignette through each frame. All sitting at the base of Bishop's Peak which provides a stunning backdrop and great hiking trails.

We are located near Cal Poly, downtown, close to freeway access. The country charm of the area boasts wonderful views and wildlife. Listen in the evening or early morning as the pair of owls call to one another or take a bath in the the fountain. Enjoy a cup of tea on the breakfast patio while the humming birds start their rounds, or relax with a glass of wine in the afternoon /evening watching the light dance on Bishop's Peak as a red tailed hawk circles in the updraft. The outdoor spaces vie for your attention. There are many areas to sit and enjoy the beauty both inside and out. From comfortable outdoor breakfast patios to the fountain courtyard with the living room feel. We have worked to create a comfortable, relaxing atmosphere where all who enter feel like family and find it hard to leave.
