Bland, Low Service "Hotel" (basically a timeshare community masquerading as a hotel)
The room was dark and depressing and the second bedroom looked like a low rent apartment in Los Angeles. There was one, unremarkable restaurant at the hotel and no room service. Breakfast entailed walking across the property to a deli/mini mart that was akin to airport food (mostly grab and go). Tons of staff driving empty shuttles around, but no room service and minimal housekeeping? Housekeeping only comes every other day and, so, technically, only came once during our 5 day stay and didn't even refill the body wash in the shower when they did. They were prompt when we checked out, of course, actually knocking on our door 15 minutes early. The service people there seem to prioritize serving themselves over the guests, it seems. Luggage transfer after checkout to the ferry to St. Thomas was totally anonymous - you just leave your bags outside your door and hope someone picks them up and gets them on the ferry within an hour or so. No luggage tags provided or confirmation, whatsoever (you have to go looking for your bags on the boat last minute and hope they got there). The pool was ok but crowded and a bit rowdy (kids throwing balls across the pool) and the beach was tiny and unremarkable. The gym was pretty nice by hotel standards and the grounds were nicely manicured but this place is basically not a real hotel. Almost everyone there is booking through VRBO so it seems like a timeshare community and the experience plays out as such. I would not go back.
