Cozy Cabin near Charlevoix - 2/4 adults or family up to 4 kids. 5 min. to beach.

Private, stand alone cabin nestled in the wood's. Perfect for a family with children or four adults. Quiet, paved country road. Five minutes to Lake Michigan, Lake Charlevoix, downtown Charlevoix and Castle Farms.
Take your family to the Mt. McSauba recreational area for a day hike through the dunes to Lake Michigan or relax on one of our beautiful beaches. Stroll through downtown Charlevoix while enjoying a local treat from an ice cream shop. There are many casual or fine dining restaurants within the downtown area. Enjoy the views of the harbor from a bench in the park.
The cabin is on a popular biking route. Bring your bikes! Hiking trails are close by as well as many nature preserves. A walk out the back door you will find a Maple Woods with an outdoor fire pit and grill. An indoor gas fireplace adds warmth to living space. Petoskey, Boyne and Harbor Springs are 30 minutes. Traverse City and Mackinaw are less than an hour away. Wildlife is abundant on the property. We do not allow pets or smoking on the property. Delightful and Relaxing

The owner was friendly, quick to respond, and very sweet to talk to. My entire family enjoyed their stay, and the kids loved the swings! My mom who is 80 , loved the peace and quiet, yet it wasn’t too far from town. It was an excellent place to stay and very clean!

Very clean and great hosts

This place is beautiful, and the listing is accurate. It was very clean. Check-in was simple and instructions for the stay were inside. Very short drive to Castle Farms. Not a long drive to get into Charlevoix.

Awesome Getaway Cabin

This property exceeds expectations in all categories. Plenty of space for activities, ample parking, and very good location. Very close to downtown Charlevoix and the public boat ramp. 10/10 host.

Charlevoix gem

Thank you for a great stay. The “Shed” is cozy. Perfect size for 4 adults. If you don’t need a lot of space this is perfect. We could have used internet, but got by on cellular data. We were so close to the two wedding venue - Charlevoix yacht club & Castle Farms. Wish we had time to enjoy a bonfire or a nice hike. The Shed was very clean and had all the supplies we needed. Would 100% recommend.

We stayed at the Shed for our daughter's wedding. It was the perfect location and perfect home. Probably the cleanest VRB0 we've ever stayed in. Lilly, our host, was wonderful.

Beautiful Home

My family's stay was amazing. We attended our nieces wedding at the Castle, and it ended up being the perfect location. It was peaceful and close to everything we needed. The home was so clean and new. It still smells like cedar as you walk through the door. I highly recommend this VRBO to everyone heading to Charlevoix. We will definitely stay here again.

Cozy home base

Conveniently located about 10 min outside of downtown Charlevoix, 15 min from an absolutely spectacular beach (Mt. Mcsauba), 10 min from Loeb Bay (and the outstanding family friendly Landing Restaurant). Property is beautiful, spacious, and just the right amount of "your own patch of paradise". Loft worked great for our "kids" (er, young adults) and beds were very comfy. Great firepit for s'more making. A day trip to Mackinaw Island (return through Tunnel of Trees and Legs Inn) is very doable and should be done...and then you will feel even better about your decision to stay here! Beautiful Property

Just as we expected the property was so pretty and incedibly convenient to our wedding at the castle. Lilly was an excellent host and with a 8 & 6 year old on site she offered her very fun swingset area for their use. House was immaculately kept. Highly recommend!

Pictures don’t do this place justice

It’s even more beautiful in person- and SO clean. We were about a ten minute drive max from everything we wanted to go to. The beds were very comfortable and the house had everything we needed and more. The hosts are as amazing as the gorgeous property. Thoroughly enjoyed staying here and would love to return someday!

Neat place

Staying here was a beautiful place to stay. The woods around made it peaceful. The only thing that would have been nice would be a screen door for the back yard to let more air through. Otherwise it was a pleasant place to stay. Plus my toddler LOVED playing with the toys left there by the owner.

Quiet and Serene

Let us say the location was absolutely beautiful. The weather was amazing and we could not have asked for a better host. She even came by to check up on us and gave us a tip on a wonderful fishing spot. Deer in the morning, bald eagle flying overhead and even came down for a catch. I could have simply sat on the porch for hours. Highly recommend this location!! Thank you again and please take care of you and your family.

Fun Cozy, & Family Friendly!

This tiny home was very nice to stay in with my 4 year old. There were tons of kids movies, little toys, and the loft was super fun for her to sleep in. If we come to this area again, we’ll definitely stay here. The owners were also very accessible and helpful.

Love "The Shed"

We had an amazing stay over Memorial weekend. The shed is very clean, has everything you would need (and more!) and is gorgeous! Our kids loved playing outside and sleeping in the loft. Lots of toys/games available. We will definitely be back.

Our Cabin - “The Shed" sits on property that has been in our family for over 100 years - we are third generation owners. Our goal is to maintain the woods and wildlife habitat surrounding "The Shed", providing a peaceful setting for our family and guests.

Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft

Not a condo! You don’t have to share this space with anyone….Private owner property. Quiet area where in the morning you hear the birds singing as the sun rises. The evenings end with a bonfire in the backyard, a smore or glass of wine if you prefer. The beach (s) are five minutes away. If you are looking for a meal downtown, also five minutes. We are located close enough to the UP for a day trip to see the Magnificent Mighty Mac Bridge or spend time at Mackinaw Island.
