'Sandswept' at The Dune Cottages is a New Southern Cottage in downtown Charleston. Only a few blocks to famed King St. Enjoy this private cottage & charming front porch, with the city at your doorstep.

The Space:
Private cottage, with open kitchen & living spa fully appointed for your vacation. Calming cypress wood interiors and modern clean design offer an oasis in the heart of historic downtown Charleston. Comfortable bedrooms, equipped with hotel style linens & product, and en suite bathrooms. 2 level private cottage. Lounge on your covered porch and enjoy your stay with ease, with all of downtown's best right at your doorstep.

The Cottage accommodates up to 9 guests between 3 bedrooms & 3 baths.

Flex Bedroom #1 – King bed (or two twins) & Twin bed + Ensuite bathroom

Guest Access:
Each Town & Island Co. unit is equipped with coded locks and unique codes that are changed regularly. You will receive all important check-in information 3 days prior to arrival.

Early check-in or late check-out requests are evaluated and granted on a case-by-case basis. We offer a luggage storage space with a coded lock to the rear of the blue building at the front of the property (56 A & B) for all Blue Haven and Dune Cottages guests to use as needed.

Too hot or too far to walk? Not a problem, Charleston offers a variety of transportation options such as a free downtown shuttle, pedicab, or ride share companies.

This 2-acre private membership club nestled in downtown Charleston is a modern oasis offering resort-style amenities and a Bali-Tulum-inspired atmosphere unparalleled on the peninsula.

Refresh and relax at the Jr. Olympic pool complete with pool-side cabanas or savor the onsite eateries offering breakfast, lunch, dinner, and trendy cocktails. Guests can also enjoy an indoor gym and fitness studio with daily classes, a recovery room full of spa therapies, private and shared workspaces, live music, and an active calendar of social events.

Once you confirm your reservation at The Wonderer, you will receive a link to book your time to visit the campus. Please note, all fitness classes and ticketed events are offered based on availability and may come at an additional cost.

While theft is rare Charleston is a city and we encourage guests to ensure their cars are locked and all valuables have been removed.

Town & Island Co. welcomes all our furry companions. There is a $75 non refundable pet fee. You are responsible to inform us you are traveling with your pet(s), so we can add this charge to your booking. Please note: If upon check out, we see evidence of an unregistered pet, the $75 pet fee will be taken out of your SD authorization hold.
We ask guests traveling with their pets to not allow them on any furniture to maintain the quality and cleanliness of our human centered spaces. **no pets on furniture and beds**

*Severe Weather Policy*

Our severe weather and Extenuating Circumstances: Hurricane Policy is as follows:

If a Mandatory Evacuation Order is issued by the Governor of SC specifically for the county in which your property is located for the dates of your stay, the extenuating circumstances policy will be in effect. In this case we WILL refund any deposits or payments paid by the guest and we shall have no additional liability concerning the reservation.

However, if a Mandatory Evacuation Order is NOT issued by the Governor of SC, then the standard cancellation policy will still apply and no refund will be issued. This is the case even if the guest chooses to cancel or travel is disrupted due to the storm.

Additionally, if there is adverse weather phenomenon outside of Charleston or SC (ie. other regions of the US or abroad) during the dates of the guests' stay which hinders the guests from traveling to the property, the standard cancellation policy will still apply. Therefore, a refund will NOT be issued.

Hurricane season is during the months of June-November. During this time we HIGHLY recommend guests research and purchase travel insurance.

Great way to explore Charleston!

This home is updated, clean and comfortable. The beds, bathrooms and kitchen were perfect for our needs for a long weekend. We walked everywhere, preferring to read historical date signs on homes, the environment, and finding our way by backroads. Touching the history and taking time as a family was the theme for the weekend!

Great location and cute house!

We stayed for a girls trip and it was a great size and a great location. AC worked well and the house was nice and cool. Beds and pillows were super comfy and the decor of the house was nice and updated. Location is very walkable to King Street and felt very safe. Check in was easy and so was checkout- the cleaning people were promptly there 10 minutes before checkout. One small thing- more towels could be great!

Amazing location & property

Safe, clean, quiet, pet friendly. What else could you ask for? Loved the location and took several walks downtown while we were there. So much space, appreciated the minimalistic decor with warmth and beauty coming from window treatments, furniture, and light fixtures. Lacked nothing we needed! We will be back!

Perfect Location/ Stellar Cleanliness

We had a wonderful stay at the property, pros being the cleaniless, location was great for walking to king street. We enjoyed Holey City Bagel across the street. For the cons, the parking is a bit of an obstacle. Very narrow area so be prepared. (We are also not accustomed to “city life and parking” so this might not be an issue for experienced visitors. When we arrived at the home, the oven was left on (possibly the cleaners accidentally turned on while cleaning?, We also brought our dog with us on this trip and the home binder had instructions on where to walk pets etc but was inaccurate, we walked around trying to locate the area but couldn’t find the preferred location, texted the property manager (as it was their preferred over calling) and never got a response, called and they promptly picked up and informed there was a typo in the binder and instructed us on where to go. We also sent a picture via text to the property manager that the ac unit filter was completely clogged and made the ac unit freeze up. My husband removed the filter and turned the ac unit off so it wouldn't freeze up, contacted the property manager and informed them but never heard anything back. It still needs a new filter as my husband left the old one on the front porch for them to inspect. We certainly didn’t want to be without ac on our summer trip. Overall, we loved the home and area as it was perfect location for us to enjoy dwtn but be centrally located to our son’s tournament.

Simply outstanding

This property is in a great location, but tucked away as well. Property as described for sure. Walk to shops and restaurants. Plenty of room for all of us. Air conditioner was outstanding as it was really hot during our stay. We also loved th front porch. It was just easy and so nice. I will say beds are all really comfortable. All of us remarked in that as it is not typical. So sleeping was great too. Can’t say enough good things! Would definitely stay there again. Do yourself a favor and book this!!

Great Stay in Charleston

Stayed for my daughters orientation at C of C. House was perfect for a group of 6. Location is excellent - College was walkable as is King St restaurants and shopping. House is very clean and nice. Parking lot is a little tough but off the street parking nonetheless. Would highly recommend and we will stay here again. Communication with the property managers is top notch!

Wonderful stay!

We can’t stop talking about how impressed we are with the beauty and cleanliness of the home, how comfortable the stay was, and what a great location! It was a great launching pad for our family during a baseball tournament for one of our kiddos- close enough to the highway, but also walkable to so much of downtown. Property managers were very communicative, wifi was great for working remotely (and from the beautiful porch!), and there was plenty of room for us to spread out. En suite bathrooms for every bedroom were such a treat!

Beautiful and newly renovated, modern open concept throughout, fresh and clean, super walkable,

Gorgeous!! Newly fully-renovated with open concept, modern minimalist design, and calming decor. Beautiful kitchen with big island and plenty of seating. Enough new modern dishes, glassware, cookware, etc. for a fabulous cocktail or dinner party. Stylish modern bedrooms and bathrooms with TV’s and en-suites in all three bedrooms. Convenient 1st floor bedroom. Large capacity stacked washer and dryer in upstairs laundry room. Large front porch with a lot of seating. Very walkable to restaurants and shops. Our 2 small dogs were welcomed to stay, which was super important for us. We will definitely stay here again ☺️
