Good Potential

This cabin that had its pros and cons. On the positive side, the beds were comfortable, the neighborhood was quiet, and the views were stunning. The fully stocked kitchen made meal preparation easy, and the spacious layout offered plenty of entertainment options. Plus, the host was friendly and responsive.However, there were notable drawbacks. The main level TV wasn’t a smart TV, limiting our streaming options. We found a dead mouse in the downstairs bathroom, and the heating system struggled to warm the basement, making the game room and bedroom down there uncomfortable. The hot tub wouldn’t heat above 75 degrees, preventing us from enjoying it, and we discovered a pan of burnt tater tots left in the oven by previous guests.Overall, the cabin had great potential, but several issues detracted from our experience. With a few improvements, it could be an excellent getaway spot.

Beautiful, serene cabin

The view was amazing and the cabin was lovely. The hot tub was great for the chilly nights. While I totally understand many insects find their way inside for warmth during cooler months, I wish the cabin floor had been more thoroughly cleaned. Overall, a great place to stay!

Baseball Tournament-Get Away

We loved our stay at Mountain Getaway....the house was clean and all our questions and communication were handled promptly. The beds were incredibly comfortable and kept our son well rested for his baseball tournament!!! Hopefully next time we can extend for a few extra days to enjoy the house as we spent most of our time at the ballfields.

Relaxing and comfortable

Beautiful, cozy spot for the family. Rainy days inside spending time playing pool, darts and sitting by the fireplaces and looking out at the peaceful Mountain View. Plenty of space to entertain the whole family

Amazing views and peaceful area

We traveled to the Blue Ridge area for a family vacation. It included my husband, son, 2 daughters, son-in-law, and my grandson. The cabin is so beautiful. Everything is just as pictured. We made wonderful memories playing pool, making s’mores in the outdoor fire pit, and touring/hiking around the area. The master bedroom on the main floor was super comfortable. The king bed upstairs was too hard for my liking but we made it work. That’s what happens when you’re so tired-you can sleep anywhere! The biggest issue we had was that the fan in that room barely worked and did not put out much air. We all know heat rises, so that was the hottest room in the cabin. We had to buy a fan to circulate air because we couldn’t freeze everyone else out. It cooled off later in the week and were able to raise windows with relief. We also didn’t know until the day of our arrival that their is not water line connected to the refrigerator which means we had to buy ice and bottled water. Just extra expenses that we didn’t need. Would I stay there again? Absolutely! I just wished those things weren’t issues, but the cabin was beautiful and the view was worth it! Thank you for allowing us to use your cabin!

Great mountain getaway!

We had a wonderful time! The house is beautiful - there was plenty of room and a stunning view! The host was very helpful and we didn't have any issues!
