Worst Experience Ever
The pictures were cute, and all the stuff is technically in the home, just not staged the same. My biggest issue was that the house was FILTHY!!! First, I couldn't get in and about 45 minutes later they figured out I just needed to push on the door harder. Mostly though, it was disgusting. There were cobwebs, bugs, worms, etc. ALL OVER THIS HOUSE. The ac's were brown. I ended up spending $50 on cleaning supplies the first day. I took video evidence of all these items. My husband just wiped the ac with a cleaning wipe, and it easily became "white" again. The sheets were DIRTY, so I spent the first day washing EVERYTHING. There was hair and brown body spots on the sheets. If this owner/manager hired a company to clean, then they should consider firing them because this is subpar for anywhere in the FL Keys. After a few days of this I tried to contact the manager and when she said she was available she did not answer my call or call me back. This was my first time going with vrbo and have not been back since. I just rode out the month (yes, MONTH!) but now feel that people should know that this was NOT a good choice. Unless you don't mind sweeping up tons of bugs (and other creepy crawly things) EVERY monring, having all windows wide open to the world, walking outside to wash/dry clothes (with no cover), and the main room ac not working......keep scrolling on this one. Old/antique/quaint/rustic does not equate with filthy.
